The Miami Design Preservation League is the keeper of the Art Deco Historic District, which is the nation's largest 20th Century National Register Historic District. The non-profit Miami Design Preservation League is concerned with the historic preservation of this area, which contains more than 800 historic buildings. MDPL provides cultural and educational programs about this special district. They provide walking tours of the Art Deco district, which begin Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. from the MDPL Center. Self-guided audio-tours are available daily. The prices are very reasonable and the tours are exceptional.
