I am surprised at the negative comment. I have been in and around the SCUBA business for 20 years and find nothing to complain about in Phil's store.

In fact, he assisted my husband and I in getting some warranty things covered and in my experience he is more than willing to go the extra mile for his customers. He is always willing to spend the time with customers to discuss choices in SCUBA equipment, travel, and classes.

In the case of rentals, expecially tanks, the SCUBA store needs to balance the need for equipment for scheduled classes against the need of customers to rent the equipment. If equipment is not returned on time, it might not be available for scheduled requirements for training provided by the store.

Consider late returned SCUBA equipment as you would an overdue library book and expect to be charged fees for late returns.

Hi I'm Phil the owner of the store that Jackson said treated him badly. The truth be known he paid for 1 day rental for 2 tanks he kept the tanks for 13 days. I called him everyday to find out why he had not returned the tanks with no response from him. Another instructor also tried to get in touch with also with no response. Finally he sent another person in here to return the tanks. Again no one every gave me an explanation of why the tanks had not been returned. I treated the person nicely and only charged a $20 late fee as I felt bad that someone who had nothing to do with this problem was having to return the tanks. If I had charged him full rate for the time he had the gear it would have been over $160 extra. I do not see this as me mistreating or belittling him. In fact I thought I was very nice and treated him much better than many stores would have. I feel a simple phone call could have made a big difference in this. On the 2nd time I supposedly treated him poorly. I remember I chatted nicely with him.We talked about his trip and he was happy I had a product that he had not found elsewhere. He never apologized or told me why he was late with the tanks and I didn't bring it up. I showed him several products and made sure he knew how to properly install the items when he went home. If I did something to offend him, I will tell you that I'm sorry that I did that and did not mean to. I wish I had been told this at that time so I could of corrected it then. I'm not a perfect person and if I offended him I did not mean to or realize that I did it .

Ok I am willing to go on record with this I was treated very poorly I am sure Phil will read this. Why were you so mean to me. I was respectful (To be fair I rented tanks from him six months ago and I did not return them because I was bed ridden with the flu) which I paid the late fees and the normal rental rate. Also my moms friend who returned them was treated poorly. Today I came in with my friend to get some gear for my trip to Mexico. I was trying to make small talk to my friend and Phil each time I said something he would belittle me. I only went there because he was the cheapest store in the area and I could not find a spot to park at Seminole Scuba. I bought 138 dollars worth of gear from him. Only after my debit card went though did he say something kind "Have a good trip" I have four people to back me up on this. Maybe he just doesn't like me other stores seem too. My friend was going to sign up for classes but after seeing how he treated me not a chance. I won't be going back which I'm sure he won't mind at all. Phil if you read this don't bother me I won't bother you!

The first time I went in the shop I was treated better than any other shop had gone to.I was going on a trip the next & found my regulator was not working right, it was close to closing time & I called the store that I bought it from & they told me it was too late for them to do anything & they would gladly rent one to me. This is the shop I bought the regulator from & had spent many thousands of dollars wth. I then called Wet -n- fla & they stayed late & saved my dive trip.I will not go anywhere else.
