Modern Nail

I am sure the rest are great as well however I have always been satisfied with Huie so why change?! I have tried every other Salon in Metro west and have many many nightmare stories to share! And if you go into the shop feeling a bit low don't worry because the comedy that Phil provides is priceless!!!

Huie is wonderful he is always polite and courteous and I like that. His work is fabulous and rather it is a manicure, pedicure or full set of nails he is so meticulous with his work and seems to think of his work like art (and it is) I think that's the key to his success. The ambiance of the salon is very very nice and Phil the owner is on top of things and keeps everybody happy. What I like about Phil is he truly cares about his client's too! Don't walk out without speaking to him if you have any concerns he is always fair and will make every effort to make you a happy customer.

I've been going to Modern Nail about 7 years now, yes 7 years that must say something. They are kind courteous and give excellent service, what I like most is that you can get service from anyone and Phil the owner ensures excellent quality and service from all his Technicians; however I must say now that I have a favorite Huie,he;s the greatest. He shows great attention to detail and being a perfectionist in my profession I like that most.

I have been going to Modern Mail for about 1 year now, and have always been very satisfied. I always use the same tech " Hannah", she is friendly and goes out of her way to service me. Hannah does my fills, pedicures and facials. The owner of the shop, Phil, has always gone out of his way to accommodate me.

I needed to get a full set of nails done, and my regular nail tech moved, so I thought I would try another salon. I tried this one, walked in and I was told $17 for a full set (regular, not pink & white). I was seen almost immediately, and the tech was nice, but not chatty or personable at all. She did my nails fairly quickly. Because I initially wanted pink/white set but since my nails were so short, she recommended going with regular and having french manicure for that look. She neglected to advise me that to give me the french manicure was an extra charge of $5. Once she was done initially they looked nice, however once I got home and took a closer look, I realized that there were lots of rough endges on the sides. This could easily snag on something, and she left clumps of acrylic under the tips, and of course I can't remove that. She could have easily checked and/or fixed this with the drill and it would have taken less than a minute to do. I gently filed the sides of each nail at home to remove the rough edges myself. needless to say, I still need to find a new salon, as I won't be returning to this nail salon.

PROS: Cheap And fast!
CONS: Shoddy workmanship, didn't advise me about extra $5, rough edges, & clumps
