Renee's is the place to shop for a wedding dress. I just happened upon it while I was on vacation and found my dream dress. The staff is very accomodating, friendly, and helpful. I wouldn't buy a dress any place else.

She may seem nice, but don't let that fake cheery voice and smile fool you! She is concerned with one thing, getting your money. She is not helpful, she is hateful. She threatened to cancel my dress order when my wedding was only 2 1/2 months away!!! She insulted my bridesmaids, ordered the wrong sizes even when other sizes were requested, charged way to much for alteration I know for a fact do not cost that much to complete, and would not let you take pictures of your dress to see how it looked it photos. I suspect that is because she knows her customer service is so awful and she doesn't want you to take a picture of the dress because then you'd be able to find it at another vendor who works with the retailer. I hope the David's Bridal that is finally located in Pensacola will run her out of business! My photographer even told me she's heard so many awful things about her that she doesn't doubt any of them are true. The lady doing my tables for the reception said the same thing, and she had actually worked with her and the reports were all true, Renee is heinous! You can choose not to believe me, but you might want to check out the BBB website first. Her rating is an F and she isn't accredited by them! She's had so many complaints on there alone, not to mention the ones people don't file with them, that I don't see how she is still in business besides the fact that she inflates her prices on alterations and such. The only redeeming quality of this business is some of her staff, but that' s not enough to put up with the stress of dealing with her, the expense, and the anger she will cause you. She was lovely, but everyone else there is a mini-me version of Renee. Renee even offered me a job once when she was short-handed because she said "You seem to know what you're doing," and I do! That's how I know she is an awful woman and completely unprofessional in a business where professionalism is crucial.

I got my dress from Renees back in July of 08'. My wedding wasn't until October of 09' so they told me that they would not place the order for the dress until October of 08'. I got a call from Renee's August 19 2008 saying that my dress was here and I had 5 days to pick it up and pay it in full or they were going to send it back!! Crazy huh? We are done with HER! We are finishing everything thing else through the Bridal Suite! They arethe sweetest people and so helpful! They actually remember who you are unlike Renee and her staff! ALSO my sisters friend who went through Renee had problems as well. They lied to her and told her the dress she got was Renees design and charged her $1000 dollars for a hym. The dress was from Casablanca and Casablanca comes with a free hym!!! LIARS! They took sissors and cut right through the lace at the bottom of her dress! Right through the pattern of her beautiful dress! They are liars and YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS!!!

Renee herself calmed my nerves.With over 9 mths to go I am a nervous wreck! I chose one of Renee's own designs, and it brought tears! Renee was awesome!! Simone and Kalisha were awesome as well, they are helping my long awaited dreams come true. Thanks to you all!

The exprience I had at Renee's Bridal can not be put in words. Mrs Renee and her staff were excelent from begining to end. My fiance and I loved the special treatment we recieved as a couple. Renee's bridal is the only way to go.

C. D. What an poser you must be! Your attempt to review a bridal shop begins and closes with attacks at a do-gooder's grammar? Shameful! The fact that you belittled a review that you did not agree
with - over GRAMMAR - is condescending and arrogant. I bet you have a real important job, too! What do you do? fast food? grocery bagger? pole dancer? grammar editor? I bet you're a sales clerk in a dress shop! HAHA!

By the way - since it's grammar and usage day..."workday" is one word. You also should have used "correctly" instead of "correct." We don't start sentences with "and" and "rebuttal" is not a verb, so you should have written "spare everyone your weak attempt to "rebut" N.B.'s review." Your verb tense for "buy" was wrong - you should have written "there are may people who would have rather "bought" their dresses."

I didn't see Neanderthals, witches or poor grammar! What I found at Renee's was a return to elegance. So many times we are hurried and shoved in lines, told to take a number, or completely ignored. But at Renee's I was able to relax and make the fashion decision of a lifetime. I received the personal care that I was hoping for. It was obvious to me that Renee and her staff was a content, easy-to-get-along-with family. They were pleasant to spend my day with. Sounds a little funny because I know there is no perfect job. My job is not perfect! But I met Renee's staff (Kalisha, Amanda, and Christin) and they were happy. Even though Kalisha helped me the most, everyone else, including Miss Renee, worked like a team to help me with my dress. This is my second purchase at Renee's and I'll be back for my bridesmaids dresses and a veil!

Did Renee's breach a contract that you signed?

If she/they did, then go to court and win easily. If you're whining because she held you to a contract you signed, then you're a childish whiner, trying to destroy someone as a part of some tantrum.

Businesses are in business to make money. They have you sign a contract to protect themselves from fickle people who try to back out of obligations. The contract spells out the obligations of both parties - (again) if Renee's breached the terms of the contract, then nail her. Otherwise - put your big girl panties on, quit whining, and be careful of what you willingly sign.

I shopped at Renee's the first time this week and walked out the door with the most beautiful wedding dress. It's the dress of my dreams! Everyone there was very nice and helpful. I was comfortable and not rushed to make a decision. Kelisha helped me and I think she's the greatest-she's a lot of fun too! Renee checked me out at the end of the sale and was very kind. Renee offered her help to me and I was pleased to find she was genuine and cared about my big day. She made me feel special. YOU have to try for YOURSELF and you'll experience what I did!

First off, before you publicly make an opinion, especially one that is written, make sure you can spell and type grammatically correct. And thank you Holley, you made a very interesting point from YOUR point of view. However, you must keep in mind that everyone has a different perception of events, people, and/or places. I have seen, on several occasions as well, employees of Renee's Bridal, after a very long work day. And make no mistake, there were tears. I also know, for a solid fact, she treats her employees poorly, or should I say, below par. I'm not going to reveal how I know this information, but it's very accurate. So please, spare everyone your weak attempt to rebuttal N. B's review. There are many people who love and cherish their experiences with Renee's Bridal. In contrast, there are many people who would have had rather buy their dresses off a homeless person than do business with Renee. It's all about perception and varying personal experiences. Keep that in mind next time you try to write a review...

I think she is a great person to be around when buying your dress. & whoever said that she treats her employers wrong is wrong their self. My mother works there and she loves it! I want to try to work there also. My wedding is next year and I bought my dress from her she and her staff was very friendly. I would refer anyone to her.

Personally, I think Renee's Bridal has a beautiful and wide range selection of dresses. Renee's designs, particularly, are stunning, possibly some of the best I've seen. The girls that work there are so pleasant and really make the place personable and warm. HOWEVER, Renee comes off as very caring, upbeat and friendly. If people only knew how she really means it, they would be shocked. I can see how people can be easily impressed by her friendly attitude and willingness to help you. The people who AREN'T NAIVE can easily see through her artificial smiles and half-assed attempt to truly assess your needs and wishes. But we do have to keep in mind that she is running a business, not a non-profit dress shop. Her employees however, will take the utmost care of you. In addition to her insincerity, she treats her employees terribly. On many occasions I have seen them cry, or never return after a lunch break! She scolds them regularly and talks down to them like they are insignificant neandrathals. Most of all, she claims herself as being a loving and caring Baptist? Contradictory might I say. Although the service you receive from the staff and the selection of dresses is incomparable to the other local bridal shops in town, just be aware of the owner. Don't be fooled by the phony smile. That smile solely means dollar signs to her.

My experience at Renee's Bridal was definitely a good one. Her store provides a large selection of everything a bride would need...from the dress to the jewelry... The service is awesome. I never had to wait around for help. Renne's is also affordable. I am on a very strict wedding budget and was still able to afford my dress from Renee's Bridal. Renee herself even helped me by finding me a veil and jewelry that was in my budget...That spoke volumes to me. If you are in the market for a bridal gown, I recommend that you check out Renee's!

After looking at many different shops, I cames to Renee's. My experience was wonderful. The customer service was excellent: warm and friendly. I tried on a three and then found the perfect one!! It didn't even need to be tailored. The best expereince I've ever had; thank you Renee!

We had so much fun at Renee's!! The camaraderie and teamwork between the staff was fantastic!! I loved their honesty, they didn't try to up sell, they told you the truth!! We were welcomed warmly, and allowed to stay and try on every dress in the house, never once did I fell rushed. Product knowledge is fabulous. I strongly encourage whether pageant, prom or wedding to try this "uptown yet down home" shop! Renee' you truly are the best!

I have been married for about a year now. I'm so happy that I found a website to vent on about Renees Bridal. I purchased my dress from her store. I should have known not to buy a dress after she treated my 10 year old sister bad. She told her that she could not take a picture of me on her cellphone. Like she could actually see anything. I also got told about the outrageous alterations charges after my purchase. They don't do anything to your dress when you buy it. You even have to pay for them to press it. I also paid 50.00 extra to have my dress here 2 weeks before my wedding so I would be able to have it altered somewhere else. So 2 months go by and I am eagerly getting all the details ironed out. I call Renee's on the day that they said the dress would be there. Renee proceeds to tell me that they will not be getting the dress in until the following week. Yes thats the week of my wedding. So I as any bride would freaked out. I told her that I would not pay the 50.00 extra and really just went into panic mode. She said that I would have to pay the extra 50.00 and started to get nasty. So I shot back. Telling her that this was my special day and she could at least be a little more considerate of how I must feel. And now the WORST part. She said "If you don't stop talking to me like this, I will cancel your STUPID dress order." I couldn't believe she said that to me. This is my wedding your talking about. It means the world to me and for her to call it a STUPID dress, I was mortified and scared because I had 14 days till my wedding. I cried for so long that day because I didn't think it was possible to get another dress. She is so fake and unprofessional. Just like someone else said on here, she smiles in your face but is totally fake behind your back. She cares about selling a dress and not the "wedding experience." I wish everyone in this town knew it too. Needless to say my whole family was outraged that she said that to me. My Dad called the credit card company and had the charges reversed. She then called my house the week of the wedding. My now husband answered and told her that I had canceled the "stupid" dress order and she would have to sell it to somebody else. She denied saying all of that to him but he said it didn't matter. I was able to find a perfect dress at another shop down the road called Wedding Artistry. They really know how to treat you there. They also did all of my bridesmaid dresses without outrageous alteration charges. Most importantly they made my wedding experience what it was suppose to be- My Special Day!! Don't ever go to Renees Bridal. They will rip you off!!

I can't say enough about Renee's. I was her bride and I had a great experience with all of my visits. However what impressed me most about Renee was my mother has cancer and could not make it to Renee's to pick out a dress for her to wear for my wedding. When Renee heard this she immediately insisted that she herself would go to the hospital and visit my mom. I never dreamed she would make a visit to see my very sick mother but to our surprise she also brought many dress for my mother to choose from. Not only did Renee' go the extra mile for my mother but she went above and beyond the call of duty. Then when we thought she had done all she could do Renee said the dress was a gift to my mom. My Mom felt beautiful on my wedding day. Renee' thanks for the very special memory you helped to give to me on my wedding day and most of all thanks for your prayers and concern for my mom. You are the greatest. Thanks..

I love Renee's they went above and beyond to get the dress that I wanted she even took two seperate dresses and put them together to make us happy. My sister used them as well and we didnt hesitate to use them again. Mom says she got more than what she had anticipated as far as price. The staff handled all the fine details and were very personable.

I bought my dress and bridesmaids dresses from this place. My dress was beautiful and I love it, however I feel like I was ripped off. My $600 dress quickly became $1100! I knew that the cost of alterations would be extra, but I didn't count on paying $155 just to get the thing hemmed! Also, she didn't tell me that I would have to purchase the slip for an extra $100, bra cups for an extra $30, the veil and the tax on all of that. Also, I ordered my dress and 7 bridesmaids dresses and not 1 of the dresses fit. Why did they take measurements if the dresses were too big?! I ordered a junior bridesmaids dress that was too big for a 6 foot tall woman (and the dress was for a 10 year old girl). Needless to say, I told my girls not to have Renee's do their alterations. Renee tries to come across as a sweet lady, however she's fake! She treated my bridesmaids like crap and pasted the smile on her face when I was around. Renee is stuck up and rude and doesn't know what customer service is. Her employees were wonderful but she is terrible! I wouldn't recommend her! Ladies, if you're looking for a happy experience, go somewhere else!

Renees was the first and only place that i looked for my wedding dress. everyone working there was very friendly and helpful to me. I ordered my dress in February and I was hoping for it to be in in the beginning of August but it came in in the beginning of July. I was very worried about the color too but I was very suprised when it came back exactly how i wanted it. it was gorgeous! I would recommend anyone to Renees!

My experience with Renee was the worst customer service I have ever dealt with... we were ordering a junior bridesmaid dress for my daughter, who was 8 at the time. The bride, who is my step-daughter, took her to be fitted in January for a June wedding. After they measured my 8-year old, the person kept wanting to order a flower girl dress--which was wrong, then she kept wanting to order the size at which my daughter was at the time. My step-daughter kept insisting she order a larger size... When we went to pick up the dress in May, the dress was of course too small--she had ordered the dress at the size my daughter was in January.. Renee then told me it was not her fault my daughter had grown (she went from 52lbs to maybe 56lbs at 8 years old). Renee would not exchange the dress or help us in anyway. I wonder if she does that thinking you will buy the larger size 6 months later.

Now at David's Bridal in Mobile, AL... they measured my daughter and had her try on a dress that was comparable to the dress we were ordering to make sure the length would be long enough. They told me they would order it a bit larger to give my daughter room to grow. Obviously they knew what they were doing...

It was amazing!! I shopped in Mobil, New Orleans, and Atlanta. But came to Renee's my home town store and found my wedding gown. The owner helped me and she was so much fun. Other stores made it very stressful, but at Renee's they helped us enjoy the planning again. They gave me great advice about colors and it all looked great. I highly recommend checking this place out. You will be glad you did. Tell them Pamela sent you

I bought my dress there also and Renee is so stuck up. I also had to buy the bag to take my dress out in, then to have them call me like a month later to tell me the bag I "ordered" was in for me to pick up. After telling them over and over that I did not order one, I bought it that day she never said oh I'm sorry or kiss my butt for that matter. She is so fake that I won't even go back to get my slip, veil, or bridesmaid dresses after I had already picked them out from there! I drove to David's Bridal in Mobile, AL. I have yet to find a picture of my dress to take with me when picking out my flowers because she said it is a "private" label and there are no pictures at this time! Whatever!

I didn't care for Renee because she told me when I paid for my dress that once it came in that I had 5 days to pick it up and then they were going to send it back. That is ridiculous since they have such hours and it would be hard for anyone that works a normal 9-5 job to get there during the week. So, I had to have a friend go pick up my dress since she had to get it out of her business so quickly...even though the dress was paid for in full. She was not very pleasant to work with.

I wish that there was some way to make sure that brides knew not to go to this place because every bride dreams about trying on that perfect dress...but if you buy it from Renee's it is almost a guarantee that they will mess up some part of your wedding...if it isn't the brides dress then maybe the bridesmaid,flower girl, or mothers dress. Not to mention that they are one of the highest priced bridal shops in town and you can't even take a picture in the dress because Renee is scared that you might go find it somewhere else cheaper...she even has the tags cut out of the dress so you don't know who the designer is therefore making it harder for you to find it somewhere else. Please get the word out to all brides to avoid this place at all costs!

I would never recommend Renee's not even to my worst enemy. I had to get a bridesmaid dress from there and it was the worst experience. Renee is all about money and unless you are spending thousands of dollars she could careless about you. My dress was not in when I was told it would be and made an hour drive to her shop for nothing and Renee was "too good" to apologize because she never does anything wrong...she is just above everyone with her snotty attitude. NEVER go to Renee's Bridal. Instead try out the Bridal Suite or Bridal Loft.

I had one of the best experiences at Renee's Bridal and Special Occasions! The employees there are great and very friendly! They have a very large selection of bridal gowns and they even design their own dresses! The owner was very friendly and she bent over backwards to make sure that I was completely happy with everything at Renee's. (Alterations, accessories, colors and etc!) My experience at Renee's was the best and I would send anyone to them!

I would never recommend Renee's Bridal to even my worst enemy. The employees are very nice that work there but the owner Renee is the most money hungry and fake person that I have ever met. Renees is one of the only bridal stores that requires a 100% upfront payment on everything and now I know why. Once she has your money, you are stuck and she doesn't have to care anymore. I ordered all my dresses 6 months out and still received mine 1 week before my wedding in a trash bag. But I could have bought a garmet bag (too small for the dress) for $30. I also received my flowergirl dress 1 week before the wedding but that was because Renee's ordered the wrong color and refused to express ship the dress so that I wouldn't have to worry about it being there on time. Once the dress did finally arrive Renee refused to alter the dress at no charge or even at a discount because that would mean that she made a mistake. Instead of admitting that she made a mistake and trying to correct the problem she tried to give me all kinds of excuses and not once did she truely apologize. I paid to have alterations done to my dress and ususally with alteraltions they press your dress but since my dress was in a garbage bag it easily wrinkled. Renee would not press it before my wedding because I reported her to the Better Business Bureau and yes she does have an unsatisfactory report with them. So, thanks to Renee I had a wrinkled wedding dress because you have to have a week's notice to have a wedding dress steamed anywhere. I still cannot believe the service that I received at Renee's. Picking out your dream wedding dress is supposed to be the best part of planning your wedding but for me it was the biggest pain in my @#$!!!!
