Since moving to St Pete in 2000 I have used Window Kote to tint 5 vehicles. I absolutely love these guys. Top of their class in window tinting.

This is Phil Hoffman, the owner of Window Kote. I have been told my some of my best customers about the review that was written about me and my shop. I find it amazing that someone would go to all the trouble of writing a complaint and posting it on the internet, but never once voicing a complaint face to face with the person or company she is complaining about. How sad that today we find it so easy to complain. I remember this lady well, and I was attempting to joke with her. I always give a written price on the back of my business card, and I will honor that price even if a customer comes to me 3 years from now. This is a small family owned business, and each people here trys to show kindness to each customer because they are our source of sucess. We often joke with the customer and it is nothing more than an attempt to give that person some personal attention and let them know that they have our full attention. This woman was not overcharged, the work that was done was professional and I am sorry that she did not understand my manner of joking. It is true that not everyone has the same sense of humor, but if she took any offense, it would have been nice of her to say so at the time of service rather than use the internet as her tool. I will continue to joke with customers and always give 100% customer satisfaction, because I refuse to let one bad apple spoil the rest. Sincerely, Phil Hoffman

This company goes beyond the normal course of business in caring for customers and the value they receive for their hard earned dollar. The entire staff is friendly and does a first class job. I have been in their lobby when a customer was demanding illegal film, which is a danger to all drivers and life threatening to police officers, and this company refused. They are more interested in doing the right thing than making the extra dollar at the risk of harming innocent people.

Recently took my car in, and got a verbal quote from Phil of $120.00. Then, Phil attempted to change the quote to $125.00 later in the conversation. Realizing this, I made him aware that he had said $120.00. I no longer trusting him, requested from Phil to write down the amount, and so he did behind one of his business cards being $95.00 plus tax, and $25.00 balance to collision company that had done work on my car, total of $120.00. Phil from Window-Kote performed the work agreed upon on the windows of my car.

When I came to pick up my car on Monday, at 4:45 pm, no one was in the office. So, I knocked on the desk and patiently waited knowing that Phil and workers must be inside the building. When Phil came into the office, he said he WAS ClOSED. I disregarded his comment, because when I called about my car 1/2 hour before, I was told they closed at 5:00 pm. Phil said it would be $250.00, so I again disregarded his comment because I thought he was kidding. I had a written quote from him with the agreed amount. I quietly walked outside to get my husband who was sitting in his car, because this to me seemed as a bit of harassment from the proprietor and I wanted my husband to deal with the proprietor and paying the bill. My husband walked in and Phil gave him the right price, which Phil had written on the back of the business card. My husband paid for it and we left.

I believe Phil's attitude was rude towards me, and the toying with me and prices was also an indication to me that I can not really trust this business.
