I have been going to Yvonne for facials for many years. She has absolutely magic hands and gives the best facial of anywhere I have ever been. When I travel I love to go to spas and facials are my favorite treatment - I have yet to have a facial of the caliber that Yvonne provides. If it is a facial you are looking for - this is the place - and Yvonne is the best.

I've decided to go to Panache for everything! I recently got a bad haircut and was desperate to have it fixed. My appoinment was with Taylor, and she knew exactly what I wanted! She gave a fantastic scalp massage and I was SO happy with the haircut and style. I am really picky about my hair stylists, and I am so happy to have found someone I want to go back to!! I will recommend Panache to everyone. The minute I walk through the door, the stress just melts away! It's my new favorite place. :)

Pros: relaxing, rejuvinating, wonderful service

Cons: None that I've encountered!

When I came in I was never offered any "refreshments" like they claim they do. I was treated horribly and that's all I'm going to say. My complaints are the same as everyone elses. I am not questioning their "expertise" or "competence". What is in question IS the rude atmosphere. Another thing, yes, other salons have refunded gift certificates in CERTAIN reasonable circumstances. I've visited other websites and have seen many reviews saying the same things about Panache! Seriously? No tips on a credit card? I've been to salons between here, Chicago, New York, London, and Italy. Even in London and Italy I was able to use my card for tips!!! This is the ONLY salon I've been to that turned me down. I too, am VERY generous with my tips but do not carry that kind of cash on me! If a salon's reputation is not questionable, would they really have to write a review defending themselves? Usually they let their business do the defending! I'd rather go to a salon at the mall than return to Panache!

Pros: Not many Pros!!

Cons: Plenty of Cons!!

I provided Panache my business on several occasions. I purchased two gift certificates for myself and spouse. Time got a hold of us and we tried to use them 2 days after expiration. Panache wouldn't take them. I get it, they were expired. However, customer service you would think would kick in here. Maybe even offer a discount on another visit? Nope, they offered nothing except "you should read the gift card". That's where Panache lost a long time customer. Now, they don't mention this prior to purchasing. In fact it's put in an envelope. I will never go there again. If you're looking for the location it's behind Sam's Seafood Restaurant, the same shopping center as Save-A-Lot Grocery store, Sears Outlet and the Tax Collector's office. The surroundings do not do much for a 'spa'. Most local businesses I root for, this one I don't.

UPDATE--in response to Panache's comment. This is not bogus. I'm real and no longer your customer. Wake up! Do you see a consistent theme from nearly every review? You lack severely in customer service and continue to have an excuse for every review. Continue your quest to be right. Your customers really respond well to that!

Pros: They pay taxes (I think)

Cons: rude, questionable ethics, no credit cards for tips

This comment was brought to our attention and after reviewing it we felt it necessary to address several of the incorrect statements made.
To start, our prices are comparable to almost all of the local day spas and salons in Orange Park, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine. We invite you to view our menu posted on our website and judge for yourself
This year alone, our hair stylists have participated in several Goldwell and Tri hair care education classes. Our hair stylists' techniques vary as well as our prices to better fit our clients' style and needs. Panache is a strong supporter of continured education for all of its employees.
Panache employees work on commission which means if clients no-show or cancel the day of their appointment the service provider does not make a living. Panache does have a cancellation policy like most other spas across the nation. The client is made aware of the policy upon scheduling their appointment and if they have a gift certificate it is posted on a policy sheet which is included in the gift certificate envelope. No retail business or spa gives refunds on gift certificates purchased, regardless of the reason.
We have staff of Panache who have been here for 11, 7, and 5 years. At the time of a clients service the only person aware of the method of payment is the receptionist. The service providers do not treat cash paying clients or gift certificate clients any differently. Our goal at Panache is to please every client in hopes that they continue to return.
All of our clients are offered an array of refreshments including ginger snaps, juice, coffee, ice tea, lemonade, herbal tonics, herbal hot teas, and during the winter months cider. We do offer wine to our clients during their lunch or dinner. Panache is an advocate for improving the enviornment. In an effort to "go green" we offer Crystal Springs water in glasses not bottles.
Obvioulsy Ms. Pamperedlady has not had any of our other wonderful spa services such as massage therapy and skin care. We promise we would have responded to Ms.Pamperedlady's concerns if she would have brought them to the attention of management versus posting her concerns anonymously.
Certainly our reputation of serving the Jacksonville area for 24 years speaks for its self

Panache Day Spa and Salon in Orange Park deserves the "Worst Humanitarian and Customer Service Award" for 2007/2008. The Spa would not honor a pedicure gift certificate that I gave gave to a friend of mine because the certificate expired. The certificate expired because my friend had BRAIN SURGERY and could not use it in time and by the time she recovered the salon said it was outside the expiration policy limits. When talking to Katie, the manager, in spite of our large spending habits at Panache she could not help us. In repeated attempts to contact the owner we have not received any communications. So...they have lost my business and we have published letters and a website that asks our friends, family and associates to boycott these inhumane "business people". I urge anyone reading this to do the same. It's not the money......it's the lack of human compassion that gripes me! These are heartless owners.

My wife and I have been to hundreds of spas in our lifetime and I believe that the customer service at Panache in Orange Park is by far the worst. Its services are pretty good, but everytime you needed to make an adjustment to a service or needed them to work with you on one of their many "policies" they were completely intractable and clearly concerned only with their own profit and not the customer. It is the ONLY spa I've ever used where the REFUSED to allow me to put a tip on the credit card. I can only surmise that is because they would rather not pay the 3% fee and stick it to their employees. In the three years we have been going there (mostly for my wife's hairstyling since she found someone who did a very good job), we've noticed a huge turnover. With the way they treat their employees and customers, I'm not surprised. Also, don't ever buy a gift certificate there for a service. Mine got packed away in a move and they absolutely refused to honor the service even though I had a receipt for the purchase. Unbelievable! I suggest you go somewhere else.

Pros: Excellent haircuts, good massages

Cons: Uncooperative staff and a bit arrogant

It had been about a year since I last used their services and was blown away at how much they are now charging. Some of the prices have doubled! And the service is exactly the same. Looks like the owner got greedy. I can find identical services ANYWHERE else in Orange Park and plan to do so.

Come on Panache!! No credit cards but Visa and Mastercard? No tips allowed to be added to the charge of the credit card? Get with it! You may find some unhappy employees on your hands when they are not properly tipped at no fault of your customer. Who in this day and age doesn't allow tipping on credit cards? What is the logic of that? I am quite generous in my tips but don't think to bring enough cash on each and every visit because of this ancient policy. Management should rethink this one or I am bringing my business elsewhere.

I LOVED my experience at Panache! It was one of the best times I have had at a day spa. I didnt' have to worry about time and I left all my worries at the door. I might have had to weight 5 mins here and there but It was to relax inbetween services. The staff was always smiling and saying kind words. I have noticed that the receptionist have improved a great deal from my first visit over a year ago. They are friendly and really try to get you in for an appointment. The service providers at the end of each service let you know which products they used on you just in case you want to come back at a later time to get it. It was great, no other spa did that unless you asked . Over all I love Panache and highly recommend it.

I have been trully impressed with Panache. Every time I go there they do a really good job on my hair possibly even the best job over other places. I have had to wait a one or two times but only thirty minutes and usually on a Saturday their busiest day. Their staff is incredibly friendly and always have good things to say. They cost less than other places I have gone.

What a way to really pamper yourself. Panache is top notch for all the spa services and the service couldn't be better. The day packages are so worth the price. I left feeling like a whole new me!!

Unfriendly staff. Technicians think nothing of making you wait, as if it is expected, and then worry more about pushing their products than seeing if it is a good fit for you. It is all about the sale and how much they can rip you off on their services. They will nickle and dime you for the littlest things. I will never go back. Turns out, all my friends have had bad experiences there. Overpriced for the horrible service and atmosphere.

I have been to Panache several times & received many wonderful services. The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxing. Their staff is knowledgable and courteous. I highly recommend their day packages. I always feel like a princess after spending the day there. It's a little pricey but so worth it. The only complaint I have is with their receptionists. I've had problems with them not recording appointments on 2 different occasions. It's too bad they aren't a little more friendly since they are the first people you see or talk to.

I used to LOVE this place until last weekend (day of my bridal portrait, when I had my dry run for my maid of honor and I for my upcoming wedding). Woman who did my hair charged me $50 for putting my hair in a ponytail, saying "there was nothing she could do, as my hair is so fine." Even the makeup artist said my hair was flat. Stylist was unwilling to work with me, and in the end, I had to run to Target and purchase $20 worth of styling materials. Kept my photographer waiting 30 mins while we fixed my hair. Spa coordinator has yet to follow up with me; owner will not return my calls. This is after I overheard stylists speaking unflattering things about myself and my maid of honor (they didn't realize I was in the waiting room). A clear lack of professionalism. No respect!
