I Feel Scammed

by Ken W.

I do not know where to begin, I am not one to visit a Doctor, So when I started having problems with chest congestion, and my lungs were hurting when I took deep breaths, I decided to visit a clinic When they took my vitals, My O2 levels were at 93 and I was told I needed to go to the ER for "Breathing Treatments, and Testing" at this point I was scared. When I got to the ER, and they saw Chest Pains on the Paper they immediately started putting me through all kinds of test for heart problems, though I tried to tell them it was congestion I was ignored. After 5 hours of usless testing, Including X-rays, and a CAT scan, It was decided that my heart was perfectly healthy, and I probably had a light case of Bronchitis. Which was what I had been trying to tell them all the time. I was released without anyone treating me for the reason I came into the Dr's office in the first place. Now I have to pay the Deductibles, and Co-Payments, and my insurance will have to pay for the tests, and I will still have to go back to the Dr's Office to get treatment for the Bronchitis. This seems unreasonable to me.

Good for my needs...

by Alex C.

My first experience with this clinic involved a case of Conjunctivitis. If I have pink eye I dont want a doctor to touch me and go off messing about with other patients. All I need from this clinic is a prescription and a bit of advice. When Im sick I dont go to a clinic looking for sympathy and someone to be nice to me. For what I need when ill this is a fast , efficient , and pleasant place to go.

Several good experiences

by cara b.

I have been to this clinic several times for sinus infections, The clinic is VERY clean and the nurses and doctors are very helpful and patient. I would recommend this clinic - especially on a Saturday of Sunday when you can't get in touch with your regular doctor.

Avoid this clinic if you can

by janice F.

I went this clinic for couple time.the second time because I have to go. Those doctors are not patience doctors. They did not tell me what reason cause I have virus. I asked why,he told me 'oh,well , it just happens sometimes. You have virus ' what the hell answer it was!!! They did not want to touch patient. How come do they become doctor.and how do they know what is wrong with the patient if they do not want to touch patient. They just spent 1min with me. Looked at me and told me what i need to do. that was it.
There is one thing that I should say it is good. Jody was very good nurse. She explained to me what is wrong with me and why ,also told me what I should do detail.

Avoid it - Worst clinic every I visited

by Anonymous

The doctors at this clinic won't even touch the patients. Alergitic to patients??? Front desk is very rude. Doctors are much worst. They will randomly say that you have some issue. Similar to cheating car mechanic shops. If you go there by mistake, make sure you save your co-payment receipt. You have to fight with them several times, and fax them your receipts to show that you paid the co-payment. Also be careful when you use your insurance with them. They will say they accept your insurance, finally you have to pay huge amounts. For example, this clinic charges you $500 for some procedure. Actually insurance willing to pay only $100. You have to pay rest of the amount from your pocket + 2 times co-payment. AVOID IT.

If you go there you wonder how worst medical field is becoming. Really you start hating doctors.

Doctors Walk in Clinic

by claudette h. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,575

Doctors Walk in Clinic is basically useful for people who need to see a Dr without an appointment. I personally did not have the greatest expierence there because it was super difficult to get a not for work plus I felt much like a number instead of a patient. It is good however when you need to see a doctor but it is a weekend or you dont already have a primary care doctor.

For Being Sick I Had a Very Pleasant Experience

by Clark H.

I had an upper respiratory infection and went to the Doctors Walk In Clinic on MLK. Everyone was very nice, they diagnosed my symptons correctly and filled my prescription right there. My mother goes there too sometimes because her regular doctor makes her wait too long without an appointment.

By the way, I could not disagree more about going to the ER at St. Joseph's, or any big hospital. An ER is not the place to go with that type of illness - you would wait all day and it would still cost the same, if not more. Plus you are tying up an ER doctor from treating more serious matters.

Bad Doctor's Care...Doctor's Walk In Clinic.

by Sandi H. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,364

I did not have a pleasant experience with this doctor's clinic. I had to pay $50 out of pocket much like if I visited an Emergency Room and the service was not up to par. The doctor was unattentive to what I was saying and the pain that I was describing he was dismissive about it. I was suffering from bronchitis which then turned into pharyngitis and I went back and was getting misdiagnosed. I went to this place originally because my regular primary care physician was moving his offices and suggested that I go there temporarily. All in all I would not recommend this type of clinic environment to anyone. My suggestion would be to go to a hospital triage unit much like St. Joseph's has and you would do better there.
