Designer Furniture at Warehouse Prices! Founded by Julie Baker in 1996, Model Furniture started as an Interior Design firm for builders in the Central Florida area. Julie applied her interior decorating talent and experience in the merchandising, decorating, and accessorizing of model homes, contributing to increased new home sales and winning a few awards along the way. The referrals from the builders and their customers indicated the need to open a “Model Home” outlet that could service both the general public and builders. Acting on that need, Julie opened the first furniture store with a modest size of 1500 square feet, which has now grown to 10,000 square feet. Julie founded her retail store under the name Model Furniture Warehouse and eventually migrated to the name Model Furniture Gallery. Today Julie Baker is one of the few Interior Decorators to actually own her own retail showroom, which allows her to offer great selection, value and quality to residential and commercial customers alike.
