It's not just sea shells. They have subway, a fudge shop, restaurant and a little outdoor bar. My kids like going here. They have bumper boats, put-put golf, water balloon sling shot, and a animal farm. There's a little for everyone here. Some days they have a display of glass-blowing. They even offer glass-blowing and pottery classes.

This place has sea shells up the ying yang!! You could spend a few hours just looking at shells! Sharks teeth, and other things of the sea! It has a subway, a fudge shop, a glass type area that has like colored glass vases and other things of the sort, they have an arcade, minature golf, a little zoo, and water bumper cars!! (some of that cost extra! The shell factory itself is free to view) you can even buy stuff there too!! there's a build a bear room, big huge stuffed animals (might be real, not sure) and i'm sure there's more i missed!! But tons to look at! Good souvenaire spot!

this is a very nice place to go visit if you love shells they have plenty to choose from. They also have a little Chrismas village for all year around chrismas lovers. my kids love to go and stuff there own animals at the teaddy bear factory. My kids use to love going all the time to go play in there arcade area but that has realy gone to the pits the games bearly work and dont give the kids there tickets they have won. Outside they have bumper boats and miniture golf. when we get company we always bring them there. Or if we need a candy fix we go get some homemade fudge which they make there fresh daily. they have good deals but they also can get very expensive. a nice place to atlease check out once.

PROS: lots of sea shells
CONS: game room never seems to be working

Sleepy little Fort Myers, Florida may not have much to offer for entertainment, but they do have some of the world's best tourist traps! The Shell Factory boasts the world's largest shell collection, and has undergone some major renovations since the hurricanes of 2004. In fact, after Charley, the Shell Factory lost its "S" and "Y" in the sign and, well, you can guess why that was humerous.
While Fort Myers residents may find this venue a total snore, tourist seem to eat up the wares in this giant shell warehouse. Sharks in a bottle, giant conchs and the obligatory starfish and sand dollars are amongst the goods you can bring back home with you.
Worried about the kids? Don't be--with an arcade area and a menagerie of stuffed animals to gawk at, they won't be bored. They also offer ice cream and other snack foods to sheild you from the sweltering Florida heat. In all, this is a fun little place to visit for a retro flash back in time, and neat place to go for cheesy fun.

PROS: Simple, retro fun, lots for the kids and funky gift items found here.
CONS: Kind of in the middle of nowhere off the interstate, boring for locals.
