I am very sorry for your unpleasant experience with our company. The time in which you were traveling and I was available was difficult to coordinate a meeting. After finally coordinating a meeting with the builder and yourself I did have a chance to look at the suspicious area in which there was a crack. You had the opportunity at your finale walk with the builder to discover any imperfections or flaws, it wasn't until a year later that this problem became evident. When visiting your home I first inspected the tops to see if maybe the installers may forced the top down but there was 1/8 of an inch gap to the wall which indicates no sign of force. It was at that time I looked for other evidence and discovered paint splatter on the counter tops indicating maybe someone had walked on them during painting that area, there were also other indications of abuse such as stains from cans being placed on and left with some sort of chemical residue. In closing I apologize to you sir, for your unpleasant experience and I did refer you to DuPont as proper protocol in questionable situations such as these. Jeff

Paid my builder $1600 for pattern upgrade on the standard Corian that came with the house. When I moved in (Oct 07) I noticed an inconspicuous 9" crack on an edge of one of the countertops. The builder told me to call the dealer/installer, American Countertop. I immediately called American Countertop. It took almost 4 months (Feb 08) and many phone calls to finally get Jeff (Gen.Mgr) to come out and look at the crack in my new corian countertop. He said he'd get back to me, never did. Doesn't return phone calls. My builder finally told me that American Countertop won't help me and I should call Dupont and file a claim under the 10 year warranty on Corian; Dupont website says to call dealer! Vicious circle, just trying to wear me down to give up. This countertop has been cracked since it was installed in this brand new home! Do what's right, discount the damaged countertop or fix it! I didn't pay top dollar for damaged goods. Mike from Florida Dream (general contractor) can attest to the fact that this damage was there when I moved in and before any painting was done. You were notified well within the appropriate time frame, but dragged your feet for months, I was only away for 2 weeks in November. Thank you for your apology and fast response to this review, I only wish you responded as fast when I first called you in October. You said you would contact the Dupont Rep, now you want me to do it?? What's his name and phone number??

We recently purchased a circa 1940 home in South Tampa with the intent to rehab the property. New floors throughout, moving walls, new staircase and new kitchen, would have been easier to build! Every contractor was at least 15% over and over there estimated time. The only saving grace was American Countertops promise. They delivered the product on time with the exact amount they promised. With a near divorce the kids wanting to move and the dog running away my granite countertops were the wrapping paper to the perfect package
