DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID!!! Don't even consider living at Park Lake at Parsons! This has been a nightmare from time we applied, to the time we moved out, and is still going. We were lied to about almost everything during our tour, upon move in the carpet smelled like dog feces, the air conditioner and the toilet were all broken! The toilet took SIX weeks to fix, we requested on our move in papers, and again in writing for them to replace the stinking carpet and now they are trying to charge us $1600 for it!!! The air conditioning was IGNORED FOR A YEAR, in FLORIDA! Other repairs were just completely ignored. The property is unsafe, they don't maintain the amenities to the point of danger and on top of that there is an ARSONIST setting fires to buildings and dumpsters on a regular basis! The police are being called for domestics all the time, the property management company is Janice Powell Enterprises, whose employees and family live on the property and run around like a gang bullying residents and children. That is just the tip of the iceberg! It appears we now have to go to court with the slum lords "Roseville Properties" out of Davenport, so if you would like more details search around for the blog we will be starting explaining all of our experiences there in detail!

Its amazing all these reviews are practically my same story! I am also never one to write reviews unless I really need to. I have lived here about 4 months now and there as been problems SINCE DAY 1!!!! The apartments are really nice indeed and the landscaping is very pretty. But dont let that fool you. I too had the same problem with arriving on my moving day and having NUMEROUS repairs that were promised to be fixed and WERENT , that took WEEKS TO GET REPAIRED. The problem is that the community are actually condos and a management company rents out apartments. The front office wont help you with ANYTHING and refers everything to a number in St Pete. The maintenance comes from St Pete! The biggest problem is my dryer vent. It takes 1 1/2 hours to dry a load and I still have to iron the clothes! :( I was told its the HOA's responsibilty to fix it and the HOA people are telling me it cost them too much to fix it! The owner upstairs INSTALLED WOOD FLOOR! So imagine the noise level there! Its horrible and depressing. Last but not least, I rented the clubhouse from the HOA for $100 and the day of NO ONE SHOWED UP to open the door! Out of desperation I went to the condo of the the real estate broker that works EVERYDAY out of the clubhouse. Her husband answered the door very annoyed and told me that this was the 4th week in a row that this happened and its not their problem. I begged him to open the door b/c people were about to arrive. He kept telling me about how bad the HOA is and told me to ask someone else for help. I became so upset that he was deciding to use me as an example and told him I was on the verge of tears. HE then told me I was stupid and we then HAD A SCREAMING MATCH in the parking lot! I was told by other tenants that he is a big bully and they were very right!! Alot of HOA members have some SERIOUS POWER issues and they bully people at the pool and are very rude because "they are on the board" FIND A LEGITIMATE APARTMENT COMPLEX with on property leasing management and maintenance!!!!

I am not a current resident of this property, I was at one time applying to live here. From the pictures of the newly remodeled condos for lease anyone could be suckered into what has happened to me and my fiance. Now I am not sure about all owners but I advise everyone DON'T even think about moving into any condo being rented out by Debbie Hebden from Shine Real Estate. First off I found this place on line and it was listed as an 800 sq ft 1 bdrm with den, when I got there that wasn't the case, but since it was upgraded so nicely I didn't mind not having the den. They very up front before I went to look at it and told me that they hadn't had a chance to get maintenance in to clean it yet, but they would do so to my standards before we decided to move in. Little did I know...the day before I went to take the remainder of my deposit and the first months rent, totaling over $1,000.00 the place was even worse then it had been before. The previous tenant had a bird, there were bird seeds on the carpet, it had obviously not been cleaned properly, Bird feces on the blinds, black smudges on the walls (which had supposedly been painted two days prior), the base boards were scuffed with black (never touched by a cleaner), the walls that had "been" painted were flat base paint, instead of painting the walls like they were supposed to they had taken a wet rag and wiped all the walls so that the paint was wiped off and smudged everywhere. The so called maintenance crew even missed greasy finger prints on the front of the microwave. To add more to this list, there was a crack in the wall from where furniture had bumped it and it hadn't been fixed, and the sink was filled with a substance that looked like vomit, and the garbage disposal was broken, when it turned on it stunk up the whole unit. When I informed the staff that the maintenance crew did a poor job the Realtor told me that she would personally take care of the issue herself when she returned from out of town. I went back on the day I was supposed to finalize everything and it looked the same, so i took pictures of everything. When I called and told them that I would no longer be moving in due to the present conditions of the place and would like my deposit back they told me that it was non-refundable because the apartment was clean and in move in condition. They called me a liar and told me that I was ok to move in on friday but I drug my feet, when the leasing agent I was dealing with went out of town that friday and did not return for two days. They said the apartment was clean and we were making it up, but i have pictures to prove everything. I will be taking legal actions with the Realtors as well as the owners. I will take them to court under principle. I advise anyone who reads this to RUN in the other direction and really consider giving someone your hard earned money before you make the same mistakes that I have. PLEASE do NOT give these people anymore business, they stole my money. No lease was signed!!!! Beware of people like this!!!!

These went condo last year, how can a property that is over 30 some odd years old turn condo? To me, I think that is ridiculous. The last I heard, it was a flop and they were leasing again. They also changed their name to something else. Well, maybe the renovation was a good thing.

These apartments are cute but they are small in comparison to other apartments in the area. My family and I are looking for a new apartment. I love the fact that they have a nice pool area and a gym. they also have a small lake that you can fish on.

The staff is very friendly. They are quick to resolve any issues that you have. The apartments are very nice and well maintained. They have a gym and pool area that are always kept clean. This is a nice place to come home to.
