We thought the internet Service was a little slow but we were on the back side of the building. Staff was very friendly. We had our dog with us and there was a nice little park to walk her in. Beds were comfortable, shower more than adequate.

It was nice to chat with the manager/owner at breakfast and meet his son. It remined me of the times I spent in Europe at small family- owned inns who lived on their property and treated guests like wlecomed, visiting members of their family.

Everything exceptional, especially the breakfast only problem was not able to log on to our computer to listen to a basketball game. But Young told us we might not get good reception because of out location. You and your staff do an excellent job.

The knowledge of the staff was exceptional. All my questions were answered honestly quickly. We were celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary and had the greatest time. Thank your staff for making our stay unforgettable.

My stay at your hotel supports my deicison to move from across the street to Quality Court two years ago. I claim you as my home away from home. You and your staff has assured me that you are the place for me to reside when I visit St. Augustine see you then

The hotel is located near the historic district, but is across busy US 1 (also known as Ponce de Leon Blvd) so walking to the historic area wasn't an option for us with our four small children. The city just built a new parking garage behind the chamber of commerce, though, so driving into the city and finding a parking space wasn't as difficult at it once was. The price was outstanding for a suite that slept six people - especially with our AAA discount. I think the management must have either remodeled the hotel since the last reviews I'd read, or they have greatly improved their cleaning/customer service. I would highly recommend this hotel and will look forward to staying here again in the future.

Good experience. My wife and I were traveling with 4 minor granddaughters and we needed a room for all of us. We all enjoyed the pool and it was nice to have a jacuzzi to use. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful with directions. Thanks

As a family with four children, we spent a lot of time out by the pool. The pool is a nice, large size and has a hot tub next to it. There are plenty of chairs to relax in and the entire pool area was clean and looked well taken care of. We enjoyed a free continental breakfast each morning (great money saver!) - it included individually packaged muffins, cereal, danishes, toast, bagels, juice, coffee, tea, milk,... and they provided the local newspaper, the St. Augustine Register, free of charge - a nice touch.

It was immaculate and even smelled nice. The suite included two double beds and a sofa bed that also made into a double. There was a small refrigerator with a separate freezer, a microwave, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, safe, coffee maker, cable TV and typical hotel ""goodies"" (i.e. shampoo, conditioner, lotion, coffee, etc.). The shower had nice water pressure - no wimpy showers here - and I loved the curved shower curtain rod that gave a lot more elbow room!

The outward appearance of the hotel and the lobby were clean and spotless. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. She rushed to get us a crib & crib bedding for our room (which I'd forgotten to request when I'd made the reservation) and walked us through the steps to use their free high-speed wireless internet - even provided us with a wireless card for our laptop to use at no charge.

I've stayed in luxury hotels, I've stayed in B&Bs, I've stayed in average hotels, and I've made the mistake of booking in what I had no idea was a seedy motel. I've seen both ends of the spectrum of quality in a hotel, and I really have no idea what the people who have bad things to say about this place are talking about. The Quality Inn in St. Augustine's historic district is certainly not the Casa Monica Hotel or the Casablanca Inn (and yes, I've actually stayed at both of those places as well), but it is not a bad place to stay, either. My husband and I frequently vacation in St. Augustine (we go at least 10 times a year), and cannot stay in a luxury hotel each time we go as we are not rich - especially if we are staying more than two or three days. We've stayed at the Quality Inn four times over the past year during different times of the year, and have had a consistent experience each time. The staff is always friendly and willing to fix any problems, the room rates are affordable, and the rooms are clean (contrary to what others have said, there are NO bugs to be found, even during ant season - now, if you want to see an experience with bugs, check out the Ramada on I-95 - not the one in the historic district, it's bug-free, I'm talking the one that's about 10 miles from St. Augustine - we went through four rooms and each one had roaches). My only gripe is that on two stays, the pool was being cleaned and thus was drained, but on another occasion the pool was filled, and was very clean, even if small. Trust me, there are some seedy hotels in St. Augustine, but the Quality Inn is not one of them. If you're expecting a luxury hotel experience, of course you will be disappointed, but if you're just looking for a clean, comfortable room to stay in during your vacation, this place is fine.

As an alumni of Flagler College, I wanted to take my family to St. Augustine to show them this beautiful city and my former stomping grounds. Our family of six stayed here in July, 2006 in one of the Quality Inn Historic suites and had a wonderful experience. After reading some of the past reviews (after already having made our reservations), I have to admit I was a little nervous about what we would find once we arrived here. We were pleasantly surprised!

We found this hotel in a coupon book from the rest stop. The rate was very reasonable at right at $50. Check in was fast and pleasant. Lobby area neat.

The pros of the hotel are: (1) very basic hotel but was clean; (2) price of $70+ per nite was reasonable; (3) staff were very plesant and helpful and accommodated me in my last minute request for a room near the front of the hotel (to avoid the train noise I had read about); (4) a continental breakfast was included; (5) there are several restaurants within walking distance including a Denny's and a McDonalds across the street, a Burger King next door and a diner a bit away.; (5) the bed was very comfortable. The cons of the hotel are: (1) the hotel is not within walking distance of the historic part of St Augustine. it is located at 1111 N. ponce De Leon (US 1) which is about 2-3 miles from ""town""; (2) Noise may be an issue. The train tracks are in the rear of the property. Friends stayed in a rear room and reported that two trains woke them in the night. Trains did not run hourly as reported on this site (at this time). Our room was in the front of the hotel and we were were on the first floor. The traffic on US 1 could be heard but it was not bothersome to us--it may be for a light sleeper.

I had a very nice stay at The Quality Inn in St Augustine. My room was clean and comfortable. The hotel lobby and dining area was filled with beautiful original artwork which was a nice surprise. I would stay here again and also recommend it to family and friends.
