I used to be a member at this location, and I tanned quite frequently and spent a large amount of money there over the past couple of years. I loved their services and would still be a member there to this day if it wasn't for their absolutely terrible customer service. It had always been lackluster; however, the last straw was an encounter with their absolutely VILE manager, Blakely. I had asked her simple questions in the past and she had always had a TERRIBLE attitude, but when I approached her recently about an issue with my account, she was disturbingly rude and disgusting. I am in SHOCK as to how ANYONE would EVER make her a manager ANYWHERE, much less a customer service oriented business. The owners are no better - Julie and Rich are complete morons and impossible to get a hold of. I can't believe how poorly I was treated and how the owners are so oblivious to their repulsive staff, and I will never take my business there again. Take your business to another location - I have been to a couple of other locations in Tampa (USF, Carrollwood, etc.) and the customer service has been spot on, so I will be taking my business to these locations.

i have froze my acct twice and they still proceeded to draft money out of my acct. The beds suck..staff is snobby..tanning somewhere else now. so glad i made the change!

crap..then more crap. service is worst than buying a 62' rambler and expecting a warranty. Hard sell. The equipment is ETS, not the best. I think they get a deal. Everything is over priced. The place is dirty almost vile. If you find a mom and pop and place do it.

The positive reviews here are from the owners. Spend 40. bucks and get a real massage, and take ten minutes and lay in the sun.

Although the spa services are great, the management is horrible. My SEVENTEEN year old daughter went in to tan before homecoming and they told her it was more cost effective to purchase a month. She payed with her debit card and they kept taking money out for several months even after I called. At one point they took a payment on the 25th and then again on the 5th. We eventually had to close her entire account. After the fact we learned that they are known for scamming people. It used to be owner operated but now they use a "manager" who is hardly ever there. There are young girls who work there on commission and it seems they are the ones putting people on a contract without their knowledge. It is just a matter of time before they end up in trouble with someone's credit card company. The same owners have the Planet Beach in Seven Oaks as well, and I have no clue if that one is also working this scam.

I went to the location and was blown away. The best tanning/spa I have been to. Not sure what Jen was talking about but the staff was great!! My kids waited in the lobby and I had the best service and tan. Go there and you will not go anywhere else.

I have no complaints about the store itself. But customer service by the owner and manager is lousy. And single moms beware: they just implemented a new "no-children-in-the-waiting-room policy", so you may want to think about tanning at Tan Lines, down the street, where they allow kids to wait while you tan. Regarding this new "no kids" policy, I was not happy with the way the owner refused to get involved when I had a dispute with the Seven Oaks store manager regarding a refund. After encountering the problem I left numerous messages with different employees over the next 3 days asking the owner to call me. I feel certain the owner knew I was trying to reach him, yet he didnt even bother to call me back to address the problem. I had to track him down myself at another store, and even then he just brushed me off and referred me back to the very same manager that I had the refund with. I feel the owner should have had the courtesy to personally intervene with regards to my dispute. Poor customer service on both the parts of the manager and the owner with regards to refund disputes... shame on you Rich Spencer and Blakely.

I have tanned at Planet Beach on & off for at least a year. Their beds are 1st rate, the staff is fun, the owners are great...and everything is always very clean! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I purchased a 3 visit Mystic Tan package and loved it. The results were amazing. The staff made sure I was comfortable with the process before leaving me. I will continue to use them for all of my tanning needs. They also offer regular tanning bed services. Mystic tanning is a wonderful alternative to UV beds.
