Overpriced. The manager is exremetly rude, has no customer service skills or manners. She acts like she doesn't like customers. If it wasn't for some of the other staff members, I would not go there. She should be REPLACED!!!! Try smiling or being friendly Karen (I think?) - it won't hurt!

My own experienced, I have no problem in returning stuff from goodwill. They are very easy to talk to, just like the one lady I spoke to.I don't know her name but she seems very nice lady! She is kind'a curvy set lady. I returned the item that I bought it and she said that I can return it and I can exchange it to the same amount only. I have no problems about it.And I told her that I like to read the peoples reviews and I google their store and it came out they have bad reviews. She said sorry about it and she is going to have action and changes to their store.Well, this is only experienced I have with them.About the store,It's alright! Cleanliness is ok,I have no idea about their bathroom because I never use it. and their changing clothes section.also.Some employees are friendly, just like the one that I like it, I don't know her name either but she is african american descent, this lady is very funny, we talked about the ginarmous size of shoes and we talked about how huge the feet was who donate the shoes, and and the other one is she is white women, slim body, kind'a brunette hair and everytime I seen her,she is always say Hi to me.Very very friendly. She organize the shelves, clothes, books, electonics, shoes, curtains and I think she do all the works in their while some of the employees just chatting around. Some of the guys who work their seems very busy all the time, especially in the furniture section.very friendly and when you ask or have a questions , they answer you right away. The rest I don't know, they seems kind'a weird.and seems no care enough.Sorry about the long messaged that I put in.I apologize. I hope my review will help.Thank You.

As a mother and trying to save some money,I thought, buying stuff from goodwill is a good idea but I am wrong! Prices are higher than Walmart, bad atittude employees and especially the store manager suppose to be has a knowledge to understand the needs of poor consumer. I am the one of the poor consumer can't afford.Well,I asked the store manager if she can lower the price, because the furniture is already broken and I am going to fix it myself instead.Well, she said, that's the price and I am not gonna change it!WOW....and she got atittude too!She is NOT A HELPFUL PERSON AND WORSE STORE MANAGER I ever SEEN!Please.....don't donate your stuff at this store, try the other GOODWILL STORE instead like ENGLEWOOD STORE AND PUNTA GORDA are the BEST GOODWILL STORE and ALSO THESE STORES ARE VERY CLEAN!!! Goodwill Store in PORT CHARLOTTE FLORIDA RIPPING YOU OFF!

I don't shop here anymore. When I started finding items that were very over priced, items that you could get for new at a lower price, it made me start wondering about their practices. Goodwill used to be a company that was there to help people--not only the people their proceeds went to, but to help low income families buy things they needed for a good price, which in turn, helped others. Now, they are more like an antique shop looking for the highest prices only. I have found items in goodwill that were actually higher priced than brand new items at walmart or on sale at dillards. But yet their warehouses are overly full of merchandise they have no room to put out for sale. If they were to mark their items with cheaper prices, they would sell more quantity, which would help their cause more. I found out that they hire "buyers" who go around to garage sales and other places to buy goods to resale at higher prices, and that really made me not want to shop there. Also, in this particular store, in Port Charlotte, I had found a mirror, with a price tag of $225.00, and I bought the same, exact mirror for in walmart, for $30.00. I asked a sales clerk about it, told them that I was not interested in buying it because I had 2 exactly like it, but I seen that the price sticker must have been mislabeled. They told me that no, that was in fact, the correct price. I explained to them that this exact mirror is in walmart right now for $30, and they did not care to check in to it. I also was told, by a friend who used to be a manager at goodwill, that they compete with prices on ebay. They look up items on ebay, and try to charge more than what ebay is getting by a certain amount. This is just not what I thought goodwill was all about. I can buy brand new clothes at walmart or on sale at dillards for the same prices of what I pay at goodwill. Their practices are hurting their cause. And on shopgoodwill.com, the prices are really outrageous. Their antiques are higher priced than many of the local antique stores.

I stop into Goodwill once in a while to browse with my wife. It's like a giant garage sale and they have a little bit of everything. The majority of their clothing is in very good condition. They have it organized very well, the store is well lit and clean. They usually have some furniture - dressers, tables, lamps, etc.. They only seem to sell things that are in pretty good condition. It makes me feel good that we can do some shopping and help people at the same time.
