A friend recommended Harbor House when I mentioned our anniversary spot was under construction. They weren't very busy so it made me a little nervous but we were seated promptly and our waitress was sweet. Average price was $20. We were served salads and warm bread while we waited for our meal. The food came quickly and was good. Our only complaint is that the ceiling paint was pealing, the carpet needed to be stretched, and the wall divider needed attention. A little paint, a window washer, some bead board on the wall divider and a carpet stretcher would do the place wonders. I also realize we had some storms a little while back that may have something to do with it. When our old spot is finished it will still be our anniversary spot but we will find an excuse to come back to Harbor House. The food and staff are worth it.

This used to be our favorite restaurant- we are so upset that last night the food was awful. My best friends and husband ordered th specials crab au graten-it tasted like crab mush with chees whiz on top. My crab bisque, which I used to love, was lumpy, had shells in it and I had to send it back once because it was so cold. The sesame tuna appetizer tasted like it had been frozen too long. The coconut shrimp were shriveled to half inch each and were chewy and greasy. The waitress was so sweet, she suggested that she could adjust our bill (it was going to be about $50-$70 per couple!) and then a lady named Nola came out and said she was the chef and manager and "What was going on with us?" SOOOO rude! Two waitress by the ladies room said we were just trying to get money off our bill! We were mortified-we have been eating there for 10 years! Kay Kinser is the owner- I'm going to call or write to her. We are sad the Harbor House is gone now. We will miss it!!!!!

This is the best seafood I have ever eaten. It is a bit on the expensive side, but well worth it. This place has the best fried grouper I have ever put in my mouth, not to mention the scallops and shrimp. To find it, you go toward Panacea and turn to the left, you will see the sign on the right. It is down a dirt road after you go through Panacea. Hope to see ya there.

PROS: Wonderful food
CONS: Expensive
