I have made a few purchases from Baer's Furniture within the last few years but after we remodeled our beach condo we decided to also replace a lot of existing furniture. I visited Baer's with the intention of only browsing and ended up buying almost all of the rooms I was replacing. Even after delivery I am very pleased as usual with the total process. Hoping to redo my Orlando home next.

I will NEVER do business with them again, It was the worst furniture experience from start to finish! Sales process, delivery, post delivery problem and customer services were all horrendous. Had you sign documents with fine print after sale including stating you had to be home the entire day of delivery and if they show up and you aren't there, they will charge you a 15% plus flat amount restocking fee. (Note: they showed up 3 hours after the window we were given for delivery, so I'm guessing this is because they are never on time, but you get put on the hook,) Like everyone else, our furniture delivery had major problems. The furniture was missing pieces and couldn't be put together. They demanded full payment though and said they'd be back in two days to correct. Almost two weeks later (after daily calls went unanswered by customer service and the store), it was finally resolved by us contacting the manufacturer directly. I am convinced we'd still have issues if we hadn't worked around Baer's. Be warned, we found out the deliveries have so many damaged or missing parts because they open every item at the warehouse and damage or misplace piece. This was our worst furniture experience ever.

I was building a new house and I have ordered a bedroom and a wall unit from Bears Furniture store. The following day I went to the store and informed the salesman that the wall unit will not fit in the house. He suggested that I look for another wall unit that might fit. We spend about one hour looking for something that might fit but with no success. I suggested the refund of the deposit of the wall unit or use it as store credit to pay for the bedroom. The store manager Mr. David Bears refused to do that. I asked him to consult with the store Owner. Two days later Mr. David Bears informed me that the store owner have cancelled the bedroom and the wall unit and issued a store credit and he indicated that I have to buy something else of that store credit other than the bed room.
I tried to explain to him that he could not force me to buy something I do not like or want and he should not cancel my bedroom order.
I tried to call customer (no) service but no one could change the owner??s decision, I called the Owner??s office several times but he never returned my

I am not willing to buy anything from this store because the way the store manager treated me.

I bought almost $14,000 worth of furniture cash. Some delivered damaged and were replace after much effort on my part. My house was damaged in the delivery process. It is now 4 months later and my home and one piece of furniture have not been repaired. I missed so many days of work waiting for them to go through the process of researching my situation. There is no communication in that company. After calling them every day they told me to call their insurance. I got 3 estimates that their insurer NationWide asked of me. Baer's were not happy with the price it would cost to fix. All 3 estimates cost was around $900.00.Again I ran home so one of their repair people(this was the second they lost the photos the first time)could do a new estimate. I finally get a call today from Gary Peacock their customer service manager and was told they will only fix my ceiling????Not the other damage, they do not FEEL responsible. Who is? David Baer was so rude to me I was stunned and appalled. I told him I would never do business with them again. He said"Good because you are the nastiest person I ever met" I was not rude in any way and am a professional who deals with the public everyday. When a customer is upset and makes that comment I always say I am so sorry what can we do to remedy this situation. He obviously has no managerial skills and replied like a child. His arrogance was disgusting. Gary Peacock has not called back after I left another message letting him know how upset I am with this decision. Management is this company is completely useless. After speaking to customers and my employees of my situation I have heard horror stories they encountered there. Stay away from Baers furniture! Especially the Sarasota store. I could go on about the horrible treatment I encountered for the past 3 months. It is so bad the Baer's boys feel they have entitlement and do not care that they have ruined their family business that the elders worked so hard to establish. I have not received a call from Ira or Ron Baer after I was told to call them. I keep leaving messages for management but they have been ignored. I wrote on ripoff.com,compaintboard and the BBB. My next step is an attorney. How silly are they to not fix the damages for a customer who spent so much at their store.

I went to this altomante store and they were nice. I havent purchased anything because most of the reviews I read online from other stores are warnings about delivery dates. I'm surprised there is no reviews here from actual customers.

I was deciding between baers and RTG, but i am afraid to go with baers because they will take a good deposit down which i'm hesitant to do because I want to cut my loses in case I get screwed like some other customers.

Baer's of Altamonte Springs is like shopping in a fine art gallery. Each piece of furniture is a work of art. I was completely surprised when I walked into their store, it doesn't look as though it holds such a large selection from the parking lot. The design staff were informative, and with excellent advice. I high recommend this store. I've shopped across the nation including supposedly selective shops of Boulder and CA. This unique store beats them hands down.

AGain, shopping for furniture, and let me say that the people were not freindly at all. Not once did someone offer to help us. The furniture was nothing to our liking anyway but when noone will even try to assist you in a very crowded and unorganized store, it does not make for a nice trip.

Baers furniture is a high class store with very reasonable prices. You will find much more upscale designs and quality peices than some of the other furniture stores. Service is satisfactory, but management and owners are available in communication via email when needed. Delivery and items are often backordered or take weeks to months to be delivered.

PROS: Nice products and styles. Good prices
CONS: Delivery and back ordered items
