The Scene
Dark and cozy, lined with burgundy booths under hanging lamps, Del Frisco's could double as a fine Italian restaurant. When busy, it bustles. At the next table, you're likely to overhear proposals of all kinds, from marriage to merger. Service is unpretentious.

The Food
High-end meat and fish. Like most steakhouses, Del Frisco's serves potatoes and vegetables a la carte, but it also offers combo plates--"lagniappe"--for instance, a 10-ounce ribeye with mashed potatoes. Homebaked desserts like mandarin orange cake have also earned the restaurant its dedicated following. Best bets are the wide selection of steaks. Also, the "Chateau" potatoes are simply mashed--but delicious--thanks to lots of butter and cracked pepper.

The Inside Scoop

  1. Know Before You Go - Del Frisco's double-pours its cocktails. The two-ounce jigger (and 10-ounce martini!) may explain the house rule of one entree minimum per person.
  2. When to Go - Thursday through Saturday, the piano lounge features a three-piece band.

smh orlando local

by mark h.

Went there Monday June 30 to celebrate someone elses birthday with a party of 4. reservations hade been made. Ridiculously expensive considering the quality of meat and fish served, not to mention the subpar service. Definetely not as good as it has been in the past. Dont know if this is due to ownership ( no longer listed on nationwide corporate website as one of their locations) or just the quality of restaurant help in Orlando. It wasnt terrible but for the price charged we could have gone to Ruths Chris or similar for a lot less. When you pay over $500 for dinner for 4 with only one cocktail ordered and no wine you expect something really out of the ordinary and this place just doesnt have it anymore.

Just a humble little steakhouse....

by Kathy D. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,742

I went to this restaurant for the first time a couple weeks ago and was impressed by the quality of ther steak. be forewarned, they are very expensive. Everything is a-la-cart. When you order the steak, you only get a steak, and sides are additional. I would definetly recommend trying their lobster bisque. If the waitstaff talk you into trying lobster, be warned that it is not a good deal. at $4.50 an ounce, they offer 20-30 ounce lobsters. The lobster our table split was tough and not very flavorful. if you do the math we ended up with a $120 lobster. Not the best deal. The steak was very flavorable though. So if you like steak I would recommend them.

Worth the hype

by Dawnrenee1313

Went here last week for my first time. I am newly arrived from Ohio and this was my first real dinner here. Most of you will know what I mean. Decor was nice. Very old school. Service was spectacular from start to finish. Here is what I will say. I have had better. Honest. I am a foodie, what can I say. The steaks were PHENOMINAL. Truly delicious and well cooked. THe mashed potatoes were not as good as they could have been. The home made salad dressing were a true highlight of the meal. I was disappointed in what I got for the price, honestly. I do NOT mind paying for a great meal, and this one was very very good, but the sides did not match the steak. The lobster was extreemly overpriced and its a shame they had no smaller portion than the 18 oz. I would definitely go back. The steaks alone are worth it. But I will also try some of the others on this list.

Pros: Great service. Great steak.

Cons: Bar area very loud, Limited menu choices and pricey for what you get.

Really disappointed...

by LocalEater1

Visited again for the first time in several years. Not as good as in the past. No longer listed on the corporate website as a participating location. Dont know if has new owners or the quality of restaurant staff in Orlando has really plummeted. Considering the price paid (over 500 for dinner for 4 with only 1 cocktail ordered and no wine) we could have gone to another establishemnt and eaten just as well for far less. noisy, crowded, not really sparkling clean either! Now just Outback quality and poor service. Not recommended

Pros: none anymore

Cons: Overpriced. poor or non-existant service, bad neighborhood

Very Bad Service

by sandygramm

Bad service ...... VERY bad service. You should not have to hand things around. You not have to wait for water. You should not have to wait for service. Appetizers should be served together.
