Did you ever wonder why the range master wears a gas mask when he is in the range cleaning up or roaming around? There is hardly any filtration in this firing range! It cetainly is not up to the standards offered by other ranges - So dont shoot there without some-kind of respirator otherwise your endagering your health by breathing in all the residue and smoke. This place was built in the unicorporated days of doral with the least amount of expense possible. your choice to pay to shoot at a place where you can get sick. Dont bother with the owner - he dont care about anyone but himself. Its cleaner and safer to use an outdoor range or one of the better indoor ranges in Hialeah with OSHA standard updated air filtering systems.\r\n

Went to Ace's for the first time today. It was also my first time going to a range to shoot a handgun. spoke with the attendant for about 30 minutes about different guns because I'm interested in buying. I had done some research and decided to rent a Glock 21. bought 2 boxes of ammo and hit the range. Everything seemed fine to me as far as service and products go. The prices for ammo were a little steep, but what do you expect if you're buying ammo at a range.

The Shooting Range itself is pretty solid, up to 25 meters/yards with a electronic control moveable target with a bench. However, I don't know how these guys are still in business, like others have posted customer service is absolutely terrible. They charge an arm and a leg for ammunition. The fat pukes behind the tables (who think they are some sort of hard ass, because they talk to cops all day....Pfft Tools) are the ones who piss me off the most, they have a smart ass remark for any questions you ask them. I think a lot of people go to this place due to the location, because there are not too many indoor ranges south of Aces. Also they cater to Law Enforcement, so they don't really care about other people. Do your research and find somewhere else to go.

Hi Guys, I got to tell, I have just recently happen to pay a visit to ACE INDOOR SHOOTING RANGE and I got to say, " Wonderful experience, a very professional atmosphere, the people that help me with my request, A1, the staff very professional and knowledgeable in what they do.. If there would have been any nicer, they might as well give the guns away!! And I don't think so!! Good people and great service...

After being in the range for less then 30 minutes, I observed many safety violations with no consequence to the customers performing them. Guns were not pointed down range. Customers walking around with loaded guns. Three of the ten lanes were performing rapid fire (No rapid fire was stated on rules multiple times in bold). Talked to manager on shift to mention violations and his reply was Its the weekend so it gets a little crazy here"". Been shooting for over ten years and have managed my own range, I never allowed safety rules to be violated. Safety is First!!

This place is dangerous.\nThe prices are the highest in Florida.\nRude, incompetent staff.\n\nAce's has actually taught me an extremely valuable lesson: when there are tons of negative reviews for a place and almost no positive ones, pay attention. I guess I became jaded with reviews, since a lot of positive ones seem to be written by employees or friends of whatever business is being reviewed, but when you find a business with a bunch of negative reviews, take notice... it means many people took the time to warn others of their bad experiences.\n\n\n\n\n

Pros: None that I can think of

Cons: Highest prices in Florida, PLACE IS NOT SAFE, owner is awful

.

Horrible horrible customer service, how they stay in business i have no idea. They are rude and try to bully everyone who comes into the shop. I'm sure the positive reviews here are people who come in with everything they need, everything perfect, purchase only they're ammo, etc. If you come in with your own ammo, forget it they treat you like scum. \nOnce, i went with a couple of friends, i brought with me 10 rounds (what was in clip) of .22LR ammo, that is it, the rest of the ammo i bought from them (i brought a 9mm, and .45 along with the .22), which ended up being close to $100 worth of ammo. When i went to leave they charged me as if i brought my own ammo with is about $8 more per person, i asked politely and they refused to charge me as if i bought their ammo. so i had to pay the extra $24 dollars for bringing around 10 cents worth of ammo with me. \nSomeone mentioned something about obama administration and my above story happened about 2 years before he was elected...i went a couple times before that because they were the only close by indoor range, but it is really just not worth it. I honestly don't know why anyone would pay to go there or buy anything from them. It's like paying to get club seats at a ball game, but with your $1,000 seat purchase they will punch you in the face on the way in and kick you out of the club after first pitch and make you sit in nose bleed section where they pay a ten year old child to kick your seat and scream in your ear the rest of the game.

Pros: decent gun selection, indoor

Cons: everything else

Got there at 8:00pm and parking lot was FULL . They were pretty packed. Guy up front at the desk was friendly and helpful. Made me buy the membership card but, I understand the silly requirement of dade county. Bullets were a bit expensive, lane was $9 pr hr, pr person. The only creepy thing was the guy inside the range itself looking over your shoulder at ALL times. This is the guy that could have really used an occassional smile to make you feel les creped out. But overall, not a bad experience. I would go again.

They used to be the only indoor range in town that's why I think they do the bare minimum as far as customer service. The only one who is helpful AT ALL is the arms instructor. Do yourself a favor and go to Trailglades or Markham park for outdoor or try Florida Gun Range in Hialeah. Much nicer guys (they actually all say hi and say have a nice day) and whether you take your own ammo or not it's only $10 to shoot, no questions asked. If your gonna buy a gun go to Lou's Police Supply in Hialeah, much better selection (huge warehouse) and very, very helpful and professional staff. No question is too stupid, they even show you small things like how to hold certain guns and tactics.

Pros: Indoors and AC is good

Cons: Staff have very poor attitude and many restrictions on ammo

Jorge the owner is very rude. Now they have a mandatory patrons card which you must buy to shoot there that entitles you to nothing!!!\nScrew the patrons as much as possible!

Unlike previous reviews I've had only good experiences with Aces. I haven't bought guns from them but have talked with them about several for purchase. They have been appropriately helpful.\r\n\r\nRange is clean and in my experience well supervised. I haven't brought my own ammo because theirs is very reasonably priced and the calibers I shoot are available (45 acp, 9mm, 22lr).\r\n\r\nCan be very busy on weekends and early evenings.

The old man in there is an a-hole. The younger guy packing the gun on his hip is a bigger a-hole.\r\n\r\nIf you're an a-hole, you might feel right at home here. But I bet those two will still overpower you.\r\n\r\nThe people running the place are great examples for the anti- gun crowd!

If your two favorite things are sodomy and guns, look no further, these guys have you covered. \r\n\r\nI honestly think these guy's are anti-gun and try to discourage the general public from buying firearms. \r\n\r\nGo anywhere else but here. ANYWHERE!

It was busy, crowded, and a little disorganized; that's how are gun stores are since Obama's election. The people that are crying about it, maybe they should venture over to Pantera guns. They are 70% as busy as Ace's. It's just the way things are. People with experience at gun stores knows how it goes.

I purchased a weapon here. The manager called me to confirm which model I wanted. The next week, they called me to inform me that they ordered the wrong model - and that I had to buy it (and it costs twice as much). I have to take them to court over this. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR - STAY AWAY.

I brought a gun here, and the same day I went to use the gun with my young brother to teach him how to shoot. As any teenager he got a lot of questions. In more of one occassion I had to take a deep breath to avoid to send straight to hell to this staff because with the exception of one old cuban guy everybody was mean and argumentative. They told me they going to call me after the days of the police check and totally has forgoten me after one week. They had to call again. \nIf possible avoid this place.

Very bad experience at Aces. I was very excited about the range, was told a lot of good things about Aces.\r\nHere's the deal......\r\nThey want to inspect your ammunition and firearms, no big deal, very understandable. However, I encountered an emplayee who was extremely stern about the ammo I had. He stated that it was ""reloaded"" ammo and I could not shoot it at Aces. I stated that it is Winchester 55 grain, \r\n5.56mm Q3131 ammo. I bought it from a reputable big name sporting goods store that is very popular with professional Bass fisherman. Anyrate, this employee went on to tell me that I did not have any idea about the ammo I had and that He was the ONLY certified ammunition reloader in Dade County Florida. He continued to tell me that the small mark, a circle with a cross in it was a ""reload stamp"" He clearly has no clue about NATO ammunition, has no desire to learn anything, and will never get any on my business again. People beware, this is one of the individuals at Aces gun range that is supposed to be the ""subject matter expert"". Your safety is in HIS hands,.............. please be careful.

Unfriendly employees. \r\nVery impersonal service\r\nOwner is the rudest! Turns away rather than greet customers.\r\nHighest gunstore prices in town.\r\nVery dangerous environment due to poor supervision inside the range. \r\nOnly game in town, but these guys would go broke if they had any competition.
