I recently started going to surme from a friend referall , and from few compliments on my hair it came down to lots of comments in which thanks to Armins work of art my hair is perfect. :)

I belive that personality makes it's service I was very please the way I was treated and to top it off I always am happy with Carolinas work of art on my nails and my hair by Armen . Thank you

Looking at some of the reviews of surme I went in to get color with Armin. I loved his personality, in which you don't find in any other person. I like the fact that he socialized with me. At the very end I was in love with my hair color and blowdry . Armin has talented skills and great abilities at his work especially in color. I will more than welcome come back to surme and it's wonderful environment

I am rather disturbed after reading some of the negative comments regarding Surme. I have been VERY pleased with the salon. I go every week for a manicure with Alba (she is the BEST)! Everyone comments on how beautiful my nails look. I have been with her since 1992. You must give her a try!
My stylist Armin is a natural. I always tell him that he is truly gifted, and he is! I have had more positive comments on my hair since I have been with him than I have had in the past 15 years combined! I always let him do whatever he thinks is best for my hair, and he hasn't been wrong yet. He is most personable and always treats me like I am the only client there! Yes, he is extremely busy (he is just that good), but that has never taken away time from me.
I also had a threading done by Marie, and she was wonderful! I am amazed at the difference in my face!
The environment is quiet and tranquil; the music is relaxing (I usually go after work), and I am constantly being offered coffee, water, etc.. The receptionist is very personable and is always most accommodating whenever I need to reschedule an appointment.
Lastly, what is wrong with being asked to post a positive comment? It is no different than what I am asked from Lexus and restaurants! I usually don't take the time to write a review, but I have been so pleased with my services at Surme, that I feel they deserve it!
I highly suggest that you give the salon a try. You will not be disappointed!

Pros: Outstanding Work; Tranquil Environment

I recently had a facial with Mary who made my pimples disapear within days. I defenately recommend her to whomever needs a facial. I also got a haircut with Armen who left my hair perfect. I enjoyed the services and environment in the salon and I will defenately come back.

My day started out fantastic. I had a whole spa day at Surme. Being the first time at Surme, I was able to find parking instantly, and as I entered the Salon I was helped out right away . I got a manicure with Debby and pedicure with Carolina in which was real relaxing and great at service. I then got my hair colored and with highlights with Armyn, who gave me great suggestions on how to maintain my color, and I got my haircut blowdry with Valerie who did a fantastic job( great style and movement). I then got my eyebraws done with Marie who did a great job on. I defenately reccomend this salon. The Salon is very beautiful and very outstanding for it's services. I defenately will come back.

Armin took my fried hair and transformed it. My hair has never looked better thanks to him!

I recently moved back to miami and had my nails done with Elizabeth! She was wonderful, best manicure and pedicure i've ever had!!! They do all their pedicures on spa chairs that have their own tv set up to them. Definitly my new weekly nail place!

I stopped by Surme after a stressful day at work followed by holiday shopping and the people at the salon were wonderful. They pampered me from the moment I walked in! Anyone that stops by here for sure needs to try sylvia's cuban coffee...it's to die for!!!!!

The atmosphere of the salon is very serene and relaxing and the personalities of the employees match the aura of this salon. O another thing I noticed about Surme was how clean they were!! They disinfected all there tools, put it in a sterilizer and cleaned the pedicure buckets in front of the client, something that I'm not used to seeing at other salons that I've been too!

Everyone def needs to stop by and get a mani/pedi at surme!! And ask for ELIZABETH!!!!

After reading much reviews and even being referred to Surme by a very close friend, I decided to pay it a visit.

I had to travel a bit but I didn't mind since this place was apparently "the" place to be at, I was greatly disappointed.

I booked Armin for brazilian keratin and a simple layered cut. Armin was overbooked that day and didn't see me for about two hours into my appointment as he was doing another keratin, luckily for me The Falls was right across so I had some entertainment.

The overbooking is understandable, however, it was the way he and his staff came across and making it seem as if it were my fault that really made me upset.

I finally sit at the chair and Armin begin's the process, even though I specified I wanted to be cut first so I can finally decided whether or not I wanted the treatment. Armin is one to spend a lot of time on his phone texting, making calls and planning out his social life as opposed to listening to the concerns and needs of his clients.

The treatment he performed on me was very rushed, as he was overbooked, it was overpriced and he barely bothered to ask me about my thoughts or concerns...he didn't even bother to make simple conversation with me.

Some people like this type of service, the one where you just get a stylist that wants to work and pass you along, however, I like my stylist to be a bit more social and at least interested in something other than his cell phone.

Definitely not coming back.

The ambience however was very pleasing and upscale.

I went to Surme to have my eyebrows done. My appointment was with Marie. She was very nice when I got there, and kept saying how perfect my eyebrows looked. She tried to sell me a facial, a hair stylist and even someone she knew who was running for governor. I just wanted to go in and have my eyebrows done and leave, I didn't need sales pitch after sales pitch. Upon returning home, my father informed me that my brows were completely uneven (I wear glasses, so it's hard to tell how perfect they are when it's tough to see). I went back to have her fix them. I told her that my left brow was much thicker than the right. SHE STARTED PLUCKING THE RIGHT BROW!!!! I couldn't believe it. The woman then found other things that she hadn't finished when I came in the first time. She handed me the mirror, I took one look in it and almost burst into tears. My brows were completely different shapes. It was as if a blind person had done my brows. I really couldn't believe how bad a job she did. DO NOT GO TO SURME TO HAVE YOUR BROWS DONE BY MARIE! Save yourself the horror and go somewhere else.

By the way, I gave this one star because I had to rate it, but really, if there was an option I wouldn't have given any!

I decide on trying Armine based on the reviews I read here on citysearch. So I called and made an appointment with him and later on that week I went in to get my hair done. I decided on going all out with my hair, i told him to do whatever he wanted, mind you my hair was a mousy light brown. So he did like 2 different shades of Blonde on my hair leaving me looking so naturally highlighted and amazed with the results. Go see Armine at Surme you truly will be amazed like i was. Thank you Armine I will be back and my husband loves my hair too Armine.

I have been going to Armin for more than 2 years every 6-7 weeks for a cut and highlights as needed. He is an artist and I have NEVER had a cut or color I didn't like. I only wished I had more friends who would travel to pinecrest cuz he's the one to do your hair.
He also has a great sense of humor so get ready for the laughs

I have been going to Surme for several months now -- always for their 60 minute swedish massage for $85. First off, the receptionist at Surme is AMAZING. She is always so courteous and makes you feel well taken care of. Case in point? I usually go there after work or during the day so I am always in work clothes with make up on. I have asked the receptionist to provide some make up remover / cleanser and they are always so willing to oblige.
Meg (massage therapist) works wonders. I don't think she knows how good she is, but her hands are amazing and always knows how to get those knots out. it's so easy to relax there. I only go on weekdays, however, so perhaps the weekends are a bit more crowded.
I have recently started to go to Armin for my haircuts. He's very sweet and has offered to trim my bangs between cuts for free.
Overall, you will feel very welcome and pampered at Surme. While waiting for my hair cut the other day I had 3 separate employees ask me if I needed anything (water, coffee, etc.).

I've been serviced at Surme twice already and so far it's been wonderful!

Prior to Surme, I was a client at Avant Garde where I was a regular for my mohawks.

One day I couldn't make it to Avant Garde and gave in to the nearby Hair Cuttery, which did a horrible job on my cut--leaving it uneven on the top too long from the sides.

I needed a desperate fix for my uneven and very ugly cut!

After much reading and contemplation because of my previous experience, I gave in to Armin.

To make it simple, I have been styling my hair into mohawks for about three years and never before had I actually found a stylist that left me with a cut that virtually met all my expectations and needs.

The salon is very modern and resourceful but the Armin trully works magic.

Pros: Free parking and it's across from The Falls! Hip, modern and stylish. Private appointments/time accomodation available.

I recently went to Surme for a haircut, and based on all the positive reviews written about Armin, I decided to make an appointment with him. The entire time he was cutting my hair, he was on the phone or talking to other customers- paying attention to everyone except his client! The haircut was decent but nothing spectacular and definitely not worth the $75 I paid. And just a heads up to everyone reading the hundreds of reviews about Armin- after my haircut, he flat out ASKED me to post a positive review about him on here. Don't waste your time or money- find another salon unless you enjoy being ignored, overcharged, and unprofessional service.

I don't mind paying $300+ to get my hair done but this place was so not worth it!!!
I can't believe how many good reviews this place is getting....i think the honest reviews are the ones of people complaining about this salon because there's nothing good to say about it.

First, the woman who washed my hair was pulling from it so hard that it hurts even after 9 hours since i left the salon. She also got my whole face and back wet!!! She wasn't even apologizing or saying anything when she scratched me or wet my face...she was just telling me not to move! As if it was my fault?!?! I think someone who is washing hair shouldn't have long sharpie nails!!!! It gross and so unprofessional!!!

Armin cut and colored my hair, he didn't do a bad job....but it wasn't to die for either...he kept talking on the phone and complaining about his morning...wasn't really paying full attention at what he was doing...he seemed nice but nice wasn't going to get my hair looking good!....he kept talking to everyone around and i saw his brushes falling and lying on the floor that had hair all over and he wanted to use them on me! ewwww i had to tell him not to otherwise he would have!!!

So while seating on his chair I was already thinking it was a huge mistake going there and of course knew i wouldn't be back but to my final surprise the receptionist told me I had to pay $300+.....and she even told me they are use to getting 20% tips!!! So unprofessional to ask to leave more tip and of course i left even less than I was suppose to!!!

Surme is very upscale, fabulous, stylish salon that I highly recommend. I have been coming to see Debbie for years and I absolutely love her! She always knows how to do my hands and feet, leaving them looking great for me! I love coming to the salon because I truly feel at home. The staff at Surme are always eager to help me and make my experience as relaxing as possible. I would NOT suggest any other salon besides Surme! What are you waiting for, call today and make your appointment you won't regret it.

It was...OK. Armin colored and cut my hair, nothing to complain about - but I have long straight blonde hair that only requires some highlights and a trim, pretty hard to screw up. He was a nice guy, but was on his phone a lot of the time. The salon itself was nothing special, I've been to much nicer and more professional in Miami. The woman who washed my hair was unpleseant, to say the least. I was very surprised at the price after the fact, I even asked the receptionist again how much thinking I heard her wrong. I don't mind paying for a great color/cut with a fantastic stylist in a nice salon, but paying $300+ for an average job in an average salon is insane - I could have gone to the mall and got the same results for half the price. I feel like most of these reviews aren't honest customers of Armin, or the salon.

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO ARMIN FOR MY HAIR FOR YEARS AND HE IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST COLORIST & STYLIST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I DONT EVEN HAVE TO TELL HIM WHAT TO DO, HE JUST KNOWS WHAT'S BEST. I ONCE MADE THE MISTAKE OF GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSER AND THEY TOTALLY SCREWED UP MY HAIR. ARMIN WAS SO GREAT THAT HE WORKED ME IN THE NEXT DAY TO FIX THEIR MISTAKE!!!!! WHO DOES THAT??? THE SALON ITSELF IS AWESOME TOO! THEIR SPA TREATMENTS ARE THE BOMB AND I AM COMPLETELY HOOKED ON THE HAIR PRODUCTS. THEY'VE GOT ALL THE CANDY YOU COULD WANT...AND OF COURSE, MORE MAGAZINES THAN YOU COULD READ IN A YEAR!!!! EVERYONE THERE TREATS YOU LIKE FAMILY. EVEN WHEN CALLING TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, THEY'RE INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. UNLIKE SOME PLACES I'VE GONE TO IN THE PAST. I know it's all caps, but that's because I feel so strongly about how great they are!

Armin is a miracle worker! I went to him with gray and green hair. A couple of other salons had told me the only solution was to cut off all of my hair. Armin not only repaired the damage without cutting my hair; but, also gave me an unbelievably beautiful new color. He also suggested a shampoo and conditioner treatment. After using them only once, my hair feels like silk. No one would ever believe that my hair had been damaged so badly. It looks and feels as if I were born with it this soft. Surme salon pampered and spoiled me. I'll never go anywhere else.

Pros: Talent. And you don't feel like you are herded cattle.

WOW! I thought I could dye my own hair! Boy was I wrong. It turned out orange and blotchy. Surme was my angel in Heaven. Literally! They got me in right away and transformed my hair from an awful mess to perfection. I will always go back to Surme. They have me as a customer for life! The people are so friendly and their skills with hair are uncomparable. I love them! I love the salon. You need to go there, you will never go anywhere else again! I promise!

I moved to Miami six years ago from San Francisco Ca. San Francisco has some of the best hair salons in the world and I knew it would be hard to replace the Colorist I had known. I have tried many hair salons here in Miami with absolutely no luck, then like a ray of sunshine came Surme Salon and only four blocks from my house it was a miracle. It has been two years now that I have been getting my hair highlited by Armin the best hair colorist in the city and the most friendliest. Up until now I have only recommended him to family and close friends because he was my little secret; too good to let just anyone know about him and this great salon, but I have had the privilege of keeping Armin as much as I could to myself for this long and now know it is my duty to let everyone know about Armin the best hair colorist ever!

I am the type of person who enjoys walking into a salon and telling any stylist the basic changes I want (i.e. short, growing it out, highlights, single color process, etc.) but after a disaster with a new stylist in New York, I've become a little more detailed about my hair preferences. I started seeing Armin who was referred to me through a friend and I am so happy to have found a stylist that understands me again! I give him basics (short, darker, lighter, layers, no layers) and tell him other contributing information (I often air-dry my hair and when it's short it's poufy) and he goes from there. I've avoided going for any bobs lately because my hair gets poufy but we talked it over and I ended up with one of the best haircuts ever! Even after the cut had essentially grown out, I continued to get compliments. All of the stylists I encountered at Surme were friendly and personable. The salon has the appearance of a more snotty environment, but everyone there is fun and down-to-earth (as much as stylists can be). I definitely recommend this salon....especially the only other man to rub his hands in my hair other than my husband (Armin)!

I have been a client of SURME Salon for over 2 years. I am 100% pleased with the total salon experience I receive at SURME. The atmosphere is so inviting.....everyone there is fantastic. I highly recommend all the stylist at the salon. Armin is my personal stylist. He is fantastic with color, cut, and style. Valerie is my daughters stylist.....she is wonderful!! I enjoy every visit to the salon. Not only do I have a great time, I leave there looking and feeling TERRIFIC!!!

I went to this place based on the reviews in particular about Armin although I didnt tell anyone that I found Surme on citysearch. I pretended I was just walking in so that I would get real service. I thought that I would have gotten the "best highlights ever", but instead got an incredibly over priced job and not very well done on top of it. He apparently thinks that being on your cell phone is professional and that it didn't bother me. He was very loud and insisted on yelling (not speaking using an indoor voice) in spanish across the entire salon. He seemed to be much more interested in that and in his plans for the night than he was in making me feel comfortable. I didnt cause a fuss, but I will definitely never go back here. I can't justify paying over $300 at any salon for this kind of service...

My daughter and I were traveling from Orlando to Miami for the weekend. She wanted to get her hair 'fixed' before we left town but there wasn't time. On Thursday before we left I went on the Internet and looked up hair salons in Miami. There were many to chose from but I selected Surme because of the reviews. I called the salon and they were able to give me an appointment for my daughter on Saturday at 2:30 which fit perfectly with our schedule. My daughter walked into the salon and simply pointed at her hair and said "I want to do something different with this!" From that point forward they took complete care of her. Armin, the colorist, looked at her facial features, current cut and color, talked to her about what he thought she wanted and they decided on a plan. While I was sitting and waiting I told them that if they had time they could do anything they wanted to with my hair as well. Imagine my surprise when he worked me into his shedule. My daughter and I both left with a totally new look, cut, color and hi-lights. I was very impressed with the amount of time and attention he paid to everyone in the Salon, not just us. You were never left to just sit and wait. Someone was always checking on you to see if you needed anything. Armin always attentive and frequently checked on the color. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting and even though we were strangers from another city we were made to feel at home. We have received many complements since that day. My daughter loves her new look and I am thrilled with mine. The ease with which I can style my hair before I go anywhere is wonderful. And just as I suspected, before we even left the salon my daughter informed me we would have to drive to Miami for her next appointment. I admit I don't think I'll mind making the trip! After reading all of the great reviews on Citysearch, I had to go and see for myself. I have tried many salons in my 7 years in Miami, and this one is by far the best. The atmosphere is very friendly, laid-back yet professional. I was very happy with my haircut and highlights and will definitly be going back. This place lives up to its reputation for sure!

This salon was great! I've only been once. I was on vacation in Miami a couple weeks ago and needed highlights so bad. I usually don't go to just anyone. I have blonde hair and I don't like to use bleach because it dries my hair out. Anyway, my friend reccommended I see Armin at Surme's. I took her advice and went in and could not be happier with my hair. Armin was so nice and listened to everything I said and did an even better job than the person I regularly see! I plan on going back to him whenever I'm in Miami.

I probably should have figured this out on my own, but so many great reviews means something is wrong. In this case, there are so many great reviews because upon completing your haircut, Armin comes right out and asks you to go to Citysearch, search Surme, and write him a great review. I could not get over how incredibly forward this request was. BUT, it sure did explain why he had so many reviews on this website. If you have to ask for positive reviews, you probably don't deserve them.

Now, let's discuss the haircut. I went to Surme to get a haircut that I had been putting off for a year. My experience started with the hair washer insisting on only speaking Spanish to me even though I told her I didnt speak Spanish. She made no effort to make the experience enjoyable and she left shampoo in both my ears and somehow managed to wash my ENTIRE face (how does this happen during a hair wash???) Then she offered coffee to everyone around me in Spanish and then walked away without offering it to me at all.

I told Armin I was up for anything and to do what he felt was best. To say he gave me a "trim" would be an understatement. Not one person has even noticed my hair got cut at all. It's not a good feeling to leave a salon and have not one single person notice a difference. Also, I'd like to point out that he spent more time on his cell phone than he did actually cutting my hair. I guess deciding what he wanted for lunch was more important than earning the $75 he was getting for my haircut. I've never had someone cut my hair while on their phone. I find it hard to believe you can give someone a good cut if your head is cocked to one side to hold your phone on your shoulder.

Please don't use the reviews posted here to make a decision about Surme and Armin, they are not unbiased. Instead, ask someone with a great haircut where they had it done. You'll be happier with the results. I PROMISE YOU!!!!

Cons: Unattentive staff and not worth the money

Surme Salon is a one of a kind experience! The establishment eminates greatness/professionalism from the friendly front desk personnel, to Armin, my skilled stylist and colorist! I have been receiving services from Armin for about a year now and everytime I challenge him to provide me with the latest and greatest style for me, he always exceeds my expectations with the quality and beauty of my style! I would not dare try another stylist anywhere because it doesn't get better than Armin @ Surme Salon!! I highly reccomend Armin and this salon!! And thanks so much to Armin and the rest of the staff of Surme for making it such an experience above all other salons!!

Pros: Amazing Hair Artistry

I found Surme after working my way through a number of (bad) stylists. The first time I visited Armin - who works wonder with color - I had a horrible color job and was pretty cynical, thinking I would never find someone that could get it right. Armin listens to what you want, considers the essentials like facial structure and skin tone, and gives you his suggestions. The result? Fabulous color that compliments your face and makes you love your hair (perhaps after a long history of frustration!). I've also had cuts wonderful cuts with Armin. Everyone in the salon has been friendly, fun, and provide great service in a relaxed atmosphere. You can tell the staff enjoy what they are doing. I have ridiculously thick hair that can be unruly and time-consuming - I've never felt rushed or pressured. Also, after going to many a salon where I get hounded to buy their products - I've never felt sales pressure at Surme - which is nice! So...get yourself over to Surme...you won't be disappointed!

Last week I went to Surme Salon for a Q8 Straightener. It was an incredible experience. Because the process takes so I long, I was not looking forward to it, but the staff and stylist were awesome! I was there for 3 hours, and I was offered drinks, magazines...they even brought me in lunch! Despite the salon being busy, I felt very pampered and attended to. I left feeling like a beautiful princess! My hair was silky smooth and very shiny. I was highly impressed. If you are interested in getting your hair straightened, Surme Salon is the place to go!

I just moved to Miami and have been a little skeptical of where to get my hair done. I was recently referred to Armin by a co-worker and am so glad I was able to get an appointment! I am extremely happy with my color and cut. I felt so comfortable from the time I walked in. Armin really took his time to listen to me but wont holding back on his ideas. He is really talented and friendly and the salon has a great vibe as well. I also needed a late a late appointment, as I work, and he was willing to stay as late as I needed. I will be referring any I meet to Armin.

I came onto citysearch with the tedious task of trying to find the "perfect" hairstylist, and I have found him. His salon is beautiful, and it made me feel right at home. I love the fact that his sole attention is for you and your hair. I did not have to deal with 10 different people, just Armin! My friend came with me while I got my hair done, and he made it just a fun girl's day out. We had a blast! When I came into his salon, my hair was VERY dark, but Armin made it a beautiful light color with amazing highlights that accentuates my skin tone. He told me what will and what won't look good on me, and I trusted him 100%. Armin definitely knows what he's doing, and he is GREAT at it! All the reviews on here are certainly true, and Armin, I know you're very busy! =) I know you're probably not going to read this anytime soon but once you do, I have to say again-- thanks so much! You are truly a genius, and I hope you never leave the MIami area. Love you darling!!!

MIami is lucky to have someone as skilled as Armin working in its salon industry. He is above par for hair cut and color, no matter your hair type. I've been a client for a couple of years now and I consistently go home happy, which is why I always come back. He always has great recommendations for style, color and appropriate products. He's very personable and I've never once felt unwelcomed. As you can probably tell, I'm very attached, and with good reason :)

Pros: i left with amazing hair

Luis is the most professional hair stylish I have ever encountered. He has done my color, highlights, cuts and perms for several years. He schedules each procedure during the year so that my hair stays healthy and fabulous (never rushing into perms or color, careful to not damage my hair). He is always on time and works exclusively on his scheduled clients. I get compliments on my hair all the time; my color and perms looks natural and my cut is kept current. He keeps looking young!

I had searched for a couple of years to find a good salon and stylist in Miami, and it wasn't until I found Armin at Surme that I found that I was not only satisfied with his work, but I actually looked forward to getting to go back! I've had cut and color done by him. He's very attentive to what you want done, you can trust his judgement when he suggests something that you hadn't thought of, and he's very consistent. I found that stylists I had previously gone to would sort of underestimate and be rather conservative about what I asked for, but not only does Armin understand, but if you're open to it, he'll even push you to a more adventurous look. You don't have to book very far in advance; I've gotten in the same day I called once. Armin is very quick and precise, and I've been in and out for a cut in 30 minutes a couple of times. Everyone else in the salon is very nice as well. And on top of it, they're cheaper than most salons in the area. You really can't ask for more!

Last week I went to Armin @ Surme Salon for a Q8 Japanese Straightener. It was an incredible experience. Because the process takes so I long, I was not looking forward to it, but Armin and the staff were awesome! I was there for 3 hours, and I was offered drinks, magazines...they even bought me lunch! Despite the salon being busy, I felt very pampered and attended to. I left feeling like a beautiful princess! My hair was silky smooth and very shiny. I was highly impressed. If you are interested in getting your hair straightened, Armin @ Surme Salon is the person to go too!

BEWARE!!! THIS PLACE IS OUTRAGOUSLY EXPENSIVE FOR HAIR SERVICES. MY HIGHLIGHTS HAVE ORANGE COLOR. I COMPLAINED OVER THE PHONE BUT THEY WANTED ME TO GO BACK. IF THE STYLEST LET ME WALK OUT WITH SOME ORANGE IN MY HAIR THEN I WOULD NOT WANT TO GO BACK. I PAID 315.00 FOR MY HAIR AND 47.00 TIP. BEWARE!!! PETER OF LONDON I AM COMING BACK....

OH ONE MORE THING THE WASHER WET MY BACK AND HAD THE NERVE TO BLAME ME FOR NOT PUTTING MY HEAD BACK ALL THE WAY....

One of my girlfriends mentioned to me that her stylist Armin, would soon be offering a new type of Japanese straightening procedure. So, being the girl that is ALWAYS on the look out for an easy way to manage my frizzy curls, I made an appointment ASAP. When I called, the girl who anwered the phone told me she would be more than happy to schedule the appointment. I walked into the most beautiful salon EVER. The front desk brought out my Cuban coffee on a tray with a smile. From the second I sat in Armin's chair I felt at ease- he explained the procedure and if your hair was damaged you had no problem! I guess all of those years of burning my hair with chemical relaxers and flat irons finally paid off. My hair has never been shinier or easier to manage!

I found this salon when a friend recommended it to me. Boy am I greatful! I go to Armin for color and cut. He really listen to you, and makes sure he understands what you want, talks with you about pros and cons, and doesn't do things drastically. I have never felt so well informed about my hair and how to take care of it before! I took pictures for Armin to see and not only did he give them a lot of attention, we discussed what would work best for me, and he wanted to keep the pictures to make sure he got it right. This guy really takes pride in his work. Its quite a drive and time commitment for me to go down to the salon, but its worth it!

I left feeling and looking just magnificent. My hair is ready for the summer humidity! NO more curls, the frizz is now gone! WOW!

The first time you walk into a salon, when they don't know you and the loyalty factor hasn't been established on either side, tells the story and the personality of the place. Surme is one of those places that, while stylish and very professional, immediately makes you feel welcome and at ease. And, that feeling just gets better with every visit. These people know their business, from the products they use, to the great customer service (not just one reminder the day before but one week ahead as well), to the absolute beauty of their work. AND, they don't take themselves too seriously and genuinely enjoy what they do. I'm a pretty low-maintenance person except for my hair. Armin is my stylist, is super friendly, and is a real perfectionist when it comes to my lowlights, highlights, color and cut. I've gotten lots of compliments on his work from friends and family. So give Surme a try, and ask for Armin!

Pros: The talent, the atmosphere, my hair!

Daughters are not usually the ones who teach their mothers about hair style choices, but in this case, my daughter taught me that there is only one person in this world who I totally trust to take care of my hair care, design and maintenance. Thankfully she introduced me to Armin a year ago, and no one has touched my hair since. Ladies over 40 take notes, the man is magical. He has a very insightful hairstyle manner, and just knows what works for us and what to do, whether it is the color or cut. The absolutely amazing part is that the colors he chooses are always beautiful, the kind of colors that keep my friends and office mates constantly commenting 'WOW or WHO DOES YOUR HAIR?". And the styles! This is not my mother's hairstylist, (you know the one style she had her entire life). I have enjoyed many styles and believe me, I love looking younger and stylish and Armin knows just what to do! Armin also keeps my daughters, (who are young and beautiful), colored and styled and they turn many heads. Now let me mention that we all fly from north Florida and one from New York, for what we consider the assurance for a Great Hair Day. Everyone at Surme has treated all of us as extended family members since our first visit, and we can't wait to get there to see what Armin has in store for us and to enjoy and watch as other customers come and go, all as appreciative as us. I just hope that the secret does not get out to too many people, I have to be able to book my routine appointments and so do my daughters, my sister, and in the not to distant future, my granddaughter. But, knowing Armin and his loyalty to his friends and customers, he is going to keep us beautiful!!!!!!!! Some folks have talent, Armin has his and then some!

I have been to a lot of beauty salons!!!! but Surme shines among all the others, I have been going to Surme for over a year and I have treatments with Navi, she is the most caring and concerned Lady I have ever met, she is wonderfull, always suggesting different treatments and making me feel very comfortable, I have had several different treatments at Surme, the first being the transion, which left me with inches less all over my body, it has been very hard for me to keep my body in shape after 6 children, but the treatments at Surme have kept off the inches, I have also had dermabrasion treatments which left my face glowing and the oxygen facial treatment which is my favorite, I have never had to wait for my treatments as soon as I walk in the door I am greeted and taken into the room, the staff are all very nice and make you feel very welcome, my next experience with Surme will be my hair so I will be sure to let you all know how that goes,I would highly reccomend Surme to all,

BEST salon in Miami. I had a haircut & color last month, and I can honestly say this was the best salon experience I've ever had. I have been in Miami for 3 years and have tried many salons since my move here, and I would never think of going anywhere else now. The staff is wonderful- always making sure the clients are happy, offering drinks, etc. And I cannot say enough about ARMIN. He is the most knowledgeable, creative, and thoughtful stylist I've ever been to. I needed some corrective color, and he literally would not let me leave until is was exactly right. Have never been happier with my color! Also loved the intimate atmosphere and the fact that ARMIN did my color AND cut, which is hard to find in other upscale salons in Miami. Thanks ARMIN and staff for such a wonderful experience!!! I will be back soon!

When my 15 year old daughter decided she wanted to cut her long beautiful wavy hair all off ... I was a nervous mother! I trusted Luis at Surme to pick a short style that would work for her hair and for her face. He gave her the most amazing haircut, she just loved how she looked when she left the salon! And the cut has been very easy to style and maintain. Thanks again Luis!

I've held off on reviewing this salon for 3 months because I wanted to see how the cut and color lasted. I made an appointment with Armin for color correction, and even though I'd visited another salon (that is highly ranked on this site) a month earlier for cut and color, ended up getting a cut also. I can safely say I've never worked with someone so talented -- the color is nearly perfect 4 months later, and I can still style my hair without much effort. I've never been able to say either of these things about another hairdresser, and I've seen MANY over the past 10 years. Armin took the time to talk about what I wanted to do and what would work best long term, and explained the advantages of each choice. Not only did Armin do an amazing job on the cut and color, but he took the time to do it right. Though the appointment was initially just for color correction, he squeezed me in for a cut at the end. Also, he had squeezed me into his schedule on the day he was leaving town for a trip and ended up spending about 3.5 hours working on my hair. I'll make it back to Surme whenever I'm in town, as I feel that seeing anyone else would be a waste of my money. It may be a good reason to move to MIami...!

my wife has had her hair done by many people and she has always looked nice. today she went to see zuni and when she walked thru the door WOW!! she looked more than great! my wife was glowing and her hair looked incredible! I hope to meet you one day zuni and thank you for making my wife look and feel great! ( i took her out to diner that night and people complimented her on her hair all night!)
