20/20 eyeglass store and Dr. Young should be shut down. Yes, not only are they just out to take your money, but they are incompetent and caused me to lose my vision because Dr. Young was more interested in putting forward his view of religion on his patients rather than pay attention and do his job. I paid for a thorough eye exam, or so I thought. Of course they said I needed glasses. The problem was that everything was hazy and there was a glare on everything I saw. That was my complaint when I went in and it had been getting worse so I was afraid there was something wrong. When the glasses came in, I told them everything was still hazy and the glare was still there. Nothing was better. They said to give time to get used to the glasses. I went back after a week and told them everything was still hazy and had a glare. They added a tint to the glasses and this still didn't help, so they said there was nothing else they could do. A few months went by and I had nearly totally lost my vision. I went to see an opthamologist, told him what I was experiencing, he examined me, and after told me "I know what was wrong with you before I even examined you by the symptoms you described. You have cataracts." I had to have surgery to replace the lenses in my eyes and as a result of all this, I missed working for 6 months. When i went back to the Casselberry store and asked to see the store manager, I asked for a refund and to speak with Dr. young to tell him what he failed to diagnose. I was not given either and told there was nothing they could do. This caused me not to be able to work because I could not see, employed, and since I am self employed this caused me a huge loss of income. This is so unethical and unprofessional, I do not know how they are allowed to be in business. I will share my experience with the Better Business Bureau, The States Attorney's office, Chanel 6 Problem Solvers and anyone else so save others from there unscrupulous practice.

Went to 20/20 for 3 years and each year they told me my daughter needed glasses/contacts. Last time I did not like the eye doctor. He really made me feel uncomfortable and just got a strange feeling about him. So this year went to a real eye doctor. They said her eyes are better than 20/20 and no reason for anything. My husband, myself and daughter went there for 3 years and spent a fortune. Don't trust the doctors there

If your looking for a deal on glasses and there you find promotions for buy one get one free or 2 for one price, you BETTER make sure that your glasses are in-stock before you pay. If it isn't in-stock and this company have to order them it's never going to happen, and what you paid for 2 would be the price you paid for one (surprise!). So bottom line if your leaving with two pairs you shouldn't have any problems, if your leaving with ZERO, your just going to have a multiple of problems. Only pay for items that you are leaving with, if anything is to be ordered or has to be made, DO NOT PAY IN FULL, just leave the smallest down payment possible.

There are no disclosures visibly noted regarding refunds, so you wouldn't get any refunds if your glasses don't come in. You would either have to take something else that you may not have taken in the first place or even pay for other upgrades. If you don't find anything you would get a STORE CREDIT for a very small amount $10,$20 or even $30 or in most cases even nothing.

Everyone has sometime or other come across a mis-communication when dealing with health care. Sometimes, as in eyeglasses and exams, we are told a prognosis that we are not comfortable with. As in the exam itself. Sometimes we truly don't need glasses, as the Rx is so small, that regular glasses wouldn't correct it. As in Night Vision problems. If a person has such a tiny Rx, the optical staff has the duty to inform the patient that it would be a waste of money to fill it! But sometimes the patient is still looking for that solution. I have advised in the past, that using Anti-reflective coating with or without an RX in the glasses, usually helps with the night driving. It also is helpful for young adults who work on the computer. I know that the Doctor probably didn't voice the prognosis just exactly like the prior person stated it. And, the next optical down the road may have different ethics and just wanted that sale. I am sure that 20/20 Eyeglass Super store is to be commended for trying to tell you the truth, and that if in fact you still wanted to spend your hard earned money, that they would have accommodated you with the above type of solution. I am interested in working for this optical chain, and hope that if I do, you will come see me someday and we can resolve your situation with the knowledge that, we are here to serve you even when we advise that you don't need glasses. I hope that helps! Norine

As in the exam itself when a Doctor states we don''t need glass or that they won't correct a problem. This is true and sometimes we truly don't need glasses, as the Rx is so small, that regular glasses without additional coatings wouldn't correct it. As in Night Vision problems. If a person has such a tiny Rx, the optical staff has the duty to inform the patient that it would be a waste of money to fill it! But sometimes the patient is still looking for that solution. I have advised in the past, that using Anti-reflective coating with or without an RX in the glasses, usually helps with the night driving when the Rx is minimal. Glare on lenses reduces an Rx, so if the Rx is already small, the glare can reduce the rx to zero! It also is helpful for young adults who work on the computer . Pros: A willing staff that is honest with it's patients

Cons: They don't try to rip you off with needless purchases!

The doctor here told me there was nothing wrong with my eyes. When I told him I had trouble seeing at night, he responded "yeah? so does everyone else." They were not nice OR helpful. When I drove down the street that same day to get another eye exam, I found out I have astigmatism. I drove BACK to 20/20 to inquire about a refund as I the doctor hadn't performed a thorough exam, they told me it was a "matter of opinion". I have already filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Florida Board of Optometry. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know.

The eye exam they perform here is incomplete. I drove down the street for a second opinion after the doctor told me there was nothing wrong with my eyes and found out I have astigmatism. When I went back and spoke to the manager about my experience, and explained I felt the exam was less than thorough, he told me it was a "matter of opinion". Really? Having an astigmatism is a matter of opinion? The men, specifically, were incredibly rude. When I told the eye doctor I had trouble with glare, and seeing at night, his response was "we all do, so what?". I really couldn't say enough bad things about this place.
