LWA's unfair & defamatory comments are intended to slander our business??s reputation; it's only fair to have the same opportunity to explain these events as documented in our records without being specific about types of services to protect patient confidentiality. On 6/24/10 I spoke w/LWA & we agreed she??s entitled to her opinion as she perceives it; but the manner by which she voiced her opinion publicly online is offensive & untruthful. Re: LWA??s claim she was ??chastised for not agreeing to arrange? for recommended services: When clients decline services our drs. recommend in the best interest of patients, we document "services were declined." We have no reason to pressure clients to pay for services they can't afford. Since we require pmt for services when rendered, if a client can't pay, we can't render those services. We offer 3rd party pmt plans to help clients who wish to proceed w/dr recommendations & pay over time. Our records show only that LWA would schedule services @ a later date. LWA was inaccurate when she stated a service would cost $600. There are 2 estimates for 2 separate recommended services documented-in Feb 2010, not last summer 2009 as LWA claimed-the SUM TOTAL of which came to approx $600 for BOTH SERVICES. LWA stated she called on multiple occasions to request records & our staff questioned the necessity of the paperwork, were hesitant to send the paperwork & were ??blatantly rude? to them over the phone: ABSURD! LWA called in May 2010 asking us to fax records to a new vet, which we did & documented. This wk, LWA&her husband called us 3??4 times requesting records; all these calls are documented, all records they requested were faxed &/or mailed per their instructions. All 3 staff members they talked w/clarified w/them if they wanted records faxed or mailed, which records faxed or mailed, followed their instructions & documented the calls. Our staff said all conversations were polite & cordial w/no problems encountered, so they were very surprised@ LWA??s online remarks. LWA claimed she was told they were never our clients: since LWA&her husband go by 2 separate last names & records are filed by 1 name 1st, perhaps there was initially some confusion finding the record under the other name. Our staff member spoke to LWA??s new vet this wk to clarify a date of service in records we faxed to the vet, answered that question immediately & documented the conversation. We are accredited by AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) who hold us to the highest standards of care in the industry. We work hard every day to uphold that mission & make recommendations for patients to help keep them healthy & prevent disease & to help sick &injured pets get better. Some procedures are costly & it??s our desire to deliver the high level of care our clients expect & assist those who wish to have the best care for their pets to be able to do just that. LWA never asked to speak w/a mgr re: her perceived displeasure w/our staff. We discovered it by reading her public &defamatory remarks online. I spoke w/LWA this morning to ensure she got all requested records needed for her relocation; she expressed gratitude for the follow up call, agreed she had received everything necessary, didn??t mention any dissatisfaction re: her request for records or our staff this week. So why claim blatant rudeness by our staff & DISHONESTLY say we were ??breaking the law by not releasing veterinary records? in her public online remarks? We complied w/all her records requests in a timely fashion as documented. There are always 2 sides to every story & we hope that LWA??s remarks are revealed as what they are: unfair, incorrect, & defamatory.

Dr. Faber and her staff are so amazing. They would do anything for my pets and me. It is so apparent that they love what they do and are honest and loyal with all their promises and services. I will continue to take my pets here for the rest of their lives and am recommending this hospital to everyone I know who has pets and telling them to do the same!
