Republic Seaside Sanitation service is horrible if you have a choice go somewhere else, they miss pick ups, when you call and complain they tell you they will be there and never show no matter how many days or times you call. They are very condisending, they Know you have no other choice but to deal with their incompetent quality of service. If you call to complain to often they will cancel your service and still try to bill you for services not honored

i mean they are ok I guess its just like some of the other comments.They tend to sling around the cans. Ill go out after leaving my trash perfect and none on the ground and afterwards it looks like a dump with trash strewn all over.secondly. i can pay my bill a few days before pick up and have it still left there like today! and i frequently pay six months in advance so i dunno.It just seems like they could be just a bit better...

Seaside has been very good in my neighborhood. They even have picked up trash that animals have dragged from bags the night before. Give them a chance to make good in your neighborhood.

well this company lets you pay for services but does not give them..I have my trash pyling up for 2 weeks now..call many of time and put on hold for over 1 hr. customer service? What Is that?I have been told on 3 differnt times that my trash would be picked up and still its sits on the streets ,,birds rats and other rodents are having a good time... But neibors arent.. Too bad they don't have a 1/2 star. This is the worst service EVER! They took over the Hernando county area, Ridge Manor after the first of the year and it has been awful. I have called 3 times to get my trash picked up. I called today at 1:30pm and they told me they have all day to pick up the trash. Really?!! All day!! Why do I need it out by 6am then?? We are the furthest location they service and they can't get it together to save their lives. Terrible, awful, disappointing service. Central Carting was much better, never had a problem with them.

I recently moved into an area which is zoned for Seaside Sanitation. Let me tell you, their drivers are the worst I have yet to see. What makes it even worse, is when I called to complain about the garbage cans being knocked over halfway down our street, I was put on hold, then transferred to a manager of some sort only to be told, ""It would be looked into"" A short time later, again, garbage cans knocked over all down the street, and this time, some of the bags that we had put out alongside the can were left there. Again, called to complain and once again was told it would be handled. The next time i waited for the garbage truck to come. Once it did, I was able to confront the driver about the rudeness of their service. He then stated that they weren't the assigned drivers to that area. UNREAL!!! Im at a loss with this company. I don't know what else to do, or who else to complain to..

I can honestly say the people who are having difficulty with their trash pick up and trash cans being tossed everywhere are probably calling and yelling at customer service. This will get you nowhere. Nobody deserves to be yelled at, especially when they are NOT the responsible party. Also, it helps to consistently pay your bill if you want consistent trash pick up.
As for the trash on the ground; we have the same problem here. There are cats and raccoons who get into the trash during the night if you don't secure the lids or if you have no lid at all on the trash can. It is not the responsibility of Seaside employees to clean up the mess in front of YOUR home that was made by feral cats or raccoons. That is your responsibility!! Get off your high horses and lazy arses and clean up your own mess and whining, for crying out loud.

Aripeka is a very small town with windy dirt roads........kids walk up and down these streets all the time. I have been using their service for 7 months and have not experienced a problem with the pickups. As long as you put out your trash following their rules,- 6 bags or 6 cans- bundle your branches, etc...then there shouldnt be an issue. My can has always been placed back on my sidewalk with the lid next to it, and even though they come through at 3 am...it seems they do a fairly decent job. Now the customer service is another issue- setting up my account was frustrating because the lady in the office had ""better things to do"" and didnt like that I was asking questions... they do have an option to pay online which I have utilized that is simple. You cant expect the world from a sanitation company or any company for that matter- so overall I would have to say they are decent.

This company has no competition. That's the reason there so horrible. They always leave trash on the ground. They throw the trash cans on the ground or leave them half in the street. We are on private roads and the truck has completely destroyed the roads in our community. When contacted about it they said get another service. I wish I could.

Even though I pay for a full year of service I can never get them to pick up on a regular basis. When they don't show up and I have to call, the driver comes back with an attitude and tries to tell me the stuff wasn't there. Office staff seems to care, but the drivers don't.

Even then, when you package things just how they tell you to, you never know if they'll pick up all of your trash or not. It's a crap-shoot. My next door neighbor does business with their competitors, and as of today, so do I. The other company comes to our neighborhood at a decent hour, picks up everything without complaining, doesn't leave the bins in the street, and is not noisy. When you call Seaside Sanitation to complain, they really just don't care. I'm happy to have a choice. Long live the free market and freedom of choice for consumers! I just made mine!

I have had nothing but problems with these folks. Where do I begin? Let's see,first they come around at 5:30 am on a saturday. Now for those of us that work all week and want to sleep in, to get an unwanted wake up call that early is agravating to say the least. Then, they drive around the block twice because they ""only pick up garbage on the right side of the truck for liability reasons"" (traffic, going on the opposite side of the street, weaving, etc.) what traffic? It's a residential side street at 5:30 am on a saturday!

Then, they drive around the block twice because they ""only pick up garbage on the right side of the truck for liability reasons"" (traffic, going on the opposite side of the street, weaving, etc.) what traffic? It's a residential side street at 5:30 am on a saturday!

Cons: After all this, they place my cans nicely at christmas time and expect a tip? HA ha ha

Have had their residential service for three years now and it is terrible. Each month they miss at least one pick up, and it is rare that I have any success in getting them to come back out the next day to cover their mistake. As others have said, terrible customer service. The usual response I get to the missed pick-up is that the driver said the garbage wasn't there, even though I never call about a miss unless the garbage was out the night before.

i have had seaside sanitation 4 years now ,they have always been polite when i have called them and they have done their best to help.today i called to say they had missed my collection they said they would be there in an hour to collect the trash it was about 10 minutes they were at the front of my house collecting the trash how is that for service .

I had Seaside Sanitation for 7 yrs and put up with a lot of mess-ups by them. They are rude and they do hang up on you. The receptionist could care less about how unhappy you are, they lie to you and say they will pick up the next day. Why don't they just apologize for their screw-ups. Why lie, this just made me more angry with them, I have quit their service and they really do not even care. I hope they go out of business.

I recently called Seaside Sanitation to complain about my $30 trash can being broken during pick-up. I didn't receive a call back until I threatened to cancel my service. At that point, I was promised a new trash can immediately. After two additional pick-ups and no new trash can, I called to cancel my service and I attempted to explain why I was doing so. The customer service rep didn't seem to care why I was calling, cancelled my service immediatly without any effort to resolve the situation, and promptly hung up. With other companies servicing the area at matching prices (to the penny) what incentive is there to accept poor customer service?

I have been a customer in Hernando county for over 3 years and have had no problems with my pick up. They always pick up on the day scheduled and have even picked up extra items on occasions. I have also needed the ""extra"" service for big items or lawn debris and have had a very positive experience with that also. I have called at busy times and have had to wait, but at my job we get busy at times and people have to wait. Slow down...breath in...breath out...this is life. Service operators have always been polite and friendly.

Being in agreement with previous users comments about poor billing, poor service and a complete lack of customer satisfaction. I need to add a warning. Don't complain to them. The response is to be hung up on.

Have to call at least once a month because they forgot to pick up trash. One day they forgot the whole street. Had to make numerous calls to remind them to pick up my blue bags. Customer service is nothing but leaving a message and never getting a response. We need more choices in garbage service.

We pay for this service, and receive only partial service. They won't come down the street if a car is parked on it. Now the tree branches are too low. I want my garbage picked up and I want to speak to someone who has control. I'm tired of talking to those at a local level who won't do anything.
