We have had our two a/c units and two heaters installed by Anchor Heating & Air for the last 4 years. When our original units were on the fritz, I started calling around to get quotes. Anchor Heating and Air were the only company that actually did calculations & measurements to determine the proper size units that we needed. They also amended the quote several times and quoted two different systems based on efficiency ratings. The installation took 3 days and the crew was very attentive to details and cleaning. Each time they entered the house, they put on clean paper socks over their shoes. Once they were finished, the crew instructed us on the operation of everything they installed. We also use them for our twice yearly maintenance. Each time we have an appointment they are on time, if not early. I would highly recommend them for your air conditioning needs. As anyone knows, when your a/c dies in a heat wave in August - there isn't a company that isn't slammed. (When else does your a/c die?) Good maintenance is key and when you have a plan with Anchor Heating & Air you are bumped in priority and aren't charged "emergency hour" rates despite when they come out.

I only recently got my heating and air system so I cannot comment as to the speed of service or maintenance.I did get quotes from several companies when looking to replace my heating and air system. The salesman from Anchor took the time to locate all the vents in my house and to ask how I used my heat and air as well as what my monthly bills typically ran. I thought this was all vital information in deciding which system to recommend and yet they were the only company to do it.I was less than thrilled with the cleanliness of my dining area after they finished the inside work. And when I needed some information for a refund that was available on the system, I had to call more than once to get it.

I've used this company for four visits over the last year and a half. I have had to call after every visit. I purchased a 220 contract to have them service my geothermal unit twice a year. They came out in October for Fall and said all was well then on the first hot day this month June my DAMN air goes out. I call them for my spring service call and they send out some novice and he checks the unit finds nothing wrong puts in the wrong filter but writes on paperwork its the same as before? I am almost ready to take these people to court. I had to sleep hot for 4 days total messing with them and today after my 220 contract I had already purchase, I paid 59 to add freeon which is not in the damn contract so what the hell did I pay 220 for to be on the list first I suppose if my air went out. WTF I am so upset, today we paid another 90 dollars they said they foud the leak a cap or something. But my last complaint is I still do not have the right filter? I called dispatch and got a helpful new person and she agrees that it's bad that the tech did not record that he put in a smaller filter. I asked them to just drop it off the right one on the porch, I'm done with there service. I am looking to the unit maker for a referral.

My AC went out in August - aggghhhh. I have a Trane unit so I contacted them and found the nearest authorized service - these folks. I called and they told me that they could not be out for a week - so I waited in August heat for them to arrive. Since I was going to have to take time off I made a Dr's appointment for the same day and thought I would take the whole day and get this all done. Twice that week Anchor called and tried to upsell a new unit to me and twice I asked them to fix my current unit. Twice they told me I didn't have an appointment and then found I did after looking. Nervious yet? I was.
The day arrives and I go to the doctor. While I was in the lady at Anchor called and left a message for me to call and reschedule my appt. since I was only a maintenance call and they had emergencies to take care of. I called them in a really bad mood and asked to speak to the owner. He wanted 10 minutes to check into my story and said he would call back. An hour later he called and told me that he had me down for a maintenance service and that my ac was WORKING. I let him know that it had not been working for over a week and that his reliable staff tried to sell me a new unit and a service contract and screwed up the notes on the file. After I told him I was going to Trane he finally agreed to send someone over - 7 hours after my appointment!!! Then the guy finds the problem is a blower motor and wants to order one for me for $500 bucks. I found the unit at Granger the next day and paid $92 dollars for it - fixed the unit myself and it has worked perfectly since.

This company tried to sell me a unit I didnt need, a service contract they wouldn't honor and a motor at 5 times its cost. All at the same time they were really sticking it to other customers at "emergency" rates. The owner actually told me that people were dying in Douglasville because they did not have ac and he had to help them first. A bald faced lie.

I would never use them. Find someone else.
