I have to say, I can't comment on the food because the service was so bad that we left before we could get the drinks. As soon as we walked in the door, the guy behind the counter was too bays counting cash to acknowledge us, and a few

what a disappointing lunch we had today in BR

was hoping for a quaint mountain lunch experience but instead received poor service oops i mean no
service

we were never greeted and when we finally were acknowledged we were told the wait would be 10 min. with several empty tables in view

i only gave it one star because i couldn't publish my review without giving it atleast one

don't waste your time or money there is much better food available in BR

once we finally ordered we were never checked on or given refills

i hate to say it but our food was just a bag of frozen fries and a sandwich that tasted nothing more than glorified fast food

what a shame because the location is great and i was really craving some fresh mountain southern food

This place is very small in size and big at heart. The food is great. Always friendly staff. It is very small so don't bring large parties. Must see

I can't begin to describe this place. It appears to be a "hole in the wall" cafe, but it's a really really great place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have everything from salads, sandwiches to hot meals. Their best deal for dinner is country fried steak. You get 2 steaks, potatoes, vegetables and gravy - enough to take home for that midnight snack for only $9.95! You can't beat that price. For lunch try the soup of the day and a half sandwich (for the ladies). Don't forget the brownie and ice cream desert. Enough for two or even three!

They are busy, the place is small, they can seat 1 to 6 people at the tables, there is outdoor dining as well and an ambience that makes you want to sit and chat with others.

The wait staff is great, the owner serves also. I've never had a complaint about the food or service in all the years they've been open. This is one place NOT to miss when you visit Blue Ridge.

Pricing is in line with other area restaurants. A nice lunch can be had for $14.00 for two.

PROS: clean, neat, nice atmosphere, good food.
CONS: Wish it was bigger!
