Children S Healthcare of Atlanta

I will never take my children to another hospital. Every encounter we have had with CHOA has been outstanding. Everyone there knows how to gently deal with children who are frightened and hurt or sick. When my child broke her arm, someone came to our room to bring toys and books to distract her while the doctor examined her, and even brought things to entertain my other child. The hospital is staffed with child-size equipment, which seems like a minor detail, but most other hospitals will have a difficult time finding a blood pressure cuff to fit a skinny toddler. I was able to stay with my child during her stay and they accommodated my needs, treated me like an intelligent partner in my child's care, and were very respectful and kind to my child.

Atlanta residents are extraordinarily lucky to have one of the finest children's hospital organizations in the country right here in our city. There is no place else to take your children with medical issues where they take such incredible care of both children and their families. Unfortunately, we have been in their facilities on more than one occasion and I am always impressed with everyone from the "readers" who are volunteers who spend time with the children reading to the high end specialists who could speak another language in their "medical speak" but always manage to explain in plain english.

MY friends younger sister had to go here to get her shots because she was really sick and they took great care of her. They made her feel really comfortable and she wasn't even scared to get the shots. At first she was but they made her feel good so wouldn't be scared.
