By far the WORST day care I have ever seen! They frequently don't provide soap for the children to wash their hands, and if there is soap it is watered down. Also, they have no paper towels or any sort of instrument to dry hands. I frequently walked in the room to find children on the counter drinking water from the sink because the water fountain wasn't working and there "were no cups". The bathroom that the children are expected to use obviously never gets cleaned because it reeks of urine. The toys are outdated. I was told that the sheets that cover the mats that the children sleep on are washed ONCE a week, and they are all folded and put into the same closet, so the one someone's child had an accident on yesterday may be the one your child is sleeping on today. The director/owner, is rude and ignorant, every time I have ever visited she is sitting at the front desk playing Solitaire on her laptop, freqeuntly with a child that I assume has misbehaved sitting beside her while she ignores him/her. She definitely has a bad attitude. Every time I have called she is "not in", yet when I show up 1 minute later, there she sits. The worst part of all of it is that the ones who are really suffering are the children, because they are walking around with dirty diapers and/or pull-ups while the staff ignores them. You are not allowed to send lunch with your child, instead they are forced to eat a scoop of vegetables and a scoop of fruit, and for "snack" they are given saltine crackers, EVERY DAY. The bottom line is that this place is DISGUSTING. My child will never step foot in that place again.

obviously when ONE parent has a disagreement they want to destroy the business out of bitterness. i love greenfield academy and they have been nothing but wonderful to me. My child loves this place. the reason why they probably dont allow food from outside is because of ALLERGIES. some children have fatal peanut allergies. so in order to ensure safety amongst all kids the center probably prefers to prepare their food to know exactly what is served. is that such a crime? please dont write false things just because you couldnt get your way

This must be an isolated parent. Ive had my kids here since they were infants and as an educator, I found all the staff to be warm and caring. I saw a clean envrionment and as a matter of a fact, I heard of these parents who wrote previous posts, the director even had to put a restraining order against them. I invite other parents to not be affected by these inaccurate accounts and formulate your own opinion about Greenfield Academy. My three kids are now in elementary school and I recommend this facility to other parents as I have done in the past and will continue to do.

I received a call this morning from my daughter about my grandson that goes to this school. My grandson wanted to bring his own lunch today 11/30/10 with a apple juice. Upon arrival the teacher told my daughter this was not allowed. She explained the first month or so he was enrolled he brought his lunch almost daily. The teacher said, "Sorry that is the rule." She would not even let him keep his apple juice. Needless to say he was upset. We thought it was weird that no pork was allowed for the Thanksgiving dinner. Are they afraid there will be a ham sandwich in the lunch box? How does a publicly/state funded pre K program refuse children to bring their lunch and juice?!!! What if this child has allergies to foods? I understand now why they are a two star rated company and my grandchildren will no longer be at this preK after today.

Best day care. I love it. My daughter has been attending Greenfield Academy since she was 18 months old. She is almost 6 and she is still attending the before and after care. I trust everyone there. They give my daughter not only a good care but a lot of love. When you walk in, you can see the happy face in the children. Another thing, is clean and the staff has always treat me with respect.

My son attended Greenfield Academy as a young infant for about a year. I pulled him from the center as I didn't feel that they were always taking care of his needs. Often I would pick him up and he would have a dirty diaper.

Greenfield Academy isn't worthy of even 1 star!!!
DO NOT send your child here! My son attended preK at Greenfield 2 days, on the 3rd day I picked him up within 45 minutes because I had a gut feeling something wasn't right here. The director, Alfi, argued with me and wouldn't let me have my son...eventhough I didn't tell her what was wrong. I just told her I needed to pick him up because my husband was having a job interview on the other side of town and was afraid we wouldn't be back in time to pick him up. She wouldn't let me in to get him. Finally after arguing with her for 20 minutes, she let me get him but she was mad about it. I decided after that, I was taking him out for good. On top of all that, the place is filthy. The classroom, bathroom, toys, carpet etc. is disgusting. The entire place smells of dirty feet. When my husband called up there to tell them we were removing our son the lady was very rude. I started researching this company and ran across their website. It is completely bogus! They've stolen photos from another companies site (Discovery Point). If you look closely you can see that it says Discovery Point in the photo of the lobby. My husband decided to call and question them on their website. They avoided the questions, eventually hanging up on him. About and hour later, we received a call from the director herself. She started cursing my husband out right when he answered the phone. She didn't even know who were were, she'd gotten our number off caller ID. He ended up telling her who we were and she was shouting and going crazy over the phone. He told her that he was reporting her company and she started threatening us. She told him to tell me to get a job (I have a job) then she told him that I'd agreed to create their website for them and was blaming me for the photos. They're crazy, I have nothing to do with them or their website! My husband went up there to pick up some things that we'd left in my son's cubby. They had stolen and hid my son's things. His teacher helped my husband find my son's clothes, which were hidden in the director's office. Then the teacher asked my husband why we were removing our son. When he told her that we don't feel comfortable there, she said she didn't either. She said it was her first year there and she didn't like it. she asked us to pray for her and the children and to pray for "this place". If the director finds it acceptable to treat parents this way, imagine how they treat innocent children who can't stand up for themselves! If you love your children, do NOT send them to Greenfield Academy!

DO NOT send your child here! I procrastinated signing my child up for prek b/c I wasn't sure that I wanted him to go or not. He really wanted to, so I was scrambling to find a spot with openings. I found that Greenfield Academy had slots available (now I know why). We went and looked around and they showed us one of the preK rooms. It looked alright...comparable to what I would have expected. I must admit, I had a strange feeling about this place but just chalked it up to not wanting my baby to grow up.My son seemed to like the preK room they showed us, and not being able to find anywhere else for him to attend, I enrolled him. We were on vacation the day of orientation so we weren't able to attend. They told us to just get there early on the first day and she'd give us all the info. We showed up early and they showed us to his classroom. We found out he was in a different preK classroom than the one we had seen. Wow, what a difference. His classroom was nothing like the other one and smelled so bad, like dirty feet or urine. The carpet was filthy and the toys were dirty and old. My son attended preK there for the first two days but on the morning of the third day he was crying saying he didn't want to go. I dropped him off but within 45 minutes, I was very worried and decided to go pick him up. When I got there to pick him up they wouldn't let me get him at first. They kept telling me that he really didn't need to leave. They tried everything to not let me get him! Finally I had to insist on picking him up. He was so happy to see me and I felt I did the right thing. I called another school that I had heard great things about and know several people whose children attend. I got put on the waiting list and decided that if I couldn't get a spot there, he just wouldn't go to preK.The school that we were on the waiting list for called me back the next day. He started going there right away. I got a totally different feeling here. I felt comfortable leaving my son there.I decided to look on the web and see if anyone has reviewed Greenfield academy. I actually found Greenfield's website. It must be a new website because I'd tried searching before. Upon looking at the website I realized that they were using a different day care's photos!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! I went to the other day care's website and sure enough, they were the same photos! My husband decided to call Greenfield (posing as just someone wanting info) and asked them about the photos. They avoided all questions and pretty much hung up on him. He called back an hour or so later and asked for the director or manager and couldn't get anyone (they said the director was out).About 30 minutes later we received a call at home from the director, Alfie (from her cell phone). She proceeded to curse my husband out and then started threatening us. Telling him to tell me to get a job (I have a job!) and calling us every name in the book. My husband told her he was reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and she said she was calling the cops on us!That lady is CRAZY!!!IF YOU LOVE YOUR CHILD, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!We've reported them to Bright from the Start.

This center is Okay if it is close to you but be sure to visit several times at different times of the day to see all workers and interactions with the children.
