I've been to Hong Kong Harbour dozens of times over the years - both for dine-in and take-out. So, it saddens me to write this negative review.

Ever since there was a change in management, the restaurant has declined in quality, and my past two visits (Jan & Apr) have been the worst yet. I've tried & enjoyed so many dishes here over the last 12 years - Hong Kong Seafood Bean Curd Pot, tofu dishes, salt and pepper squid, mu shu duck, orange beef. You name it, I've probably tried it.

But the quality has gone downhill. An order of curry chicken and eggplant came with a long hair in it, which is bad, but even worse - there was no attempt to fix the situation when it was brought to the server's attention. An order of mu shu duck came with bones in it - I've had that dish at least 20 times. Never came with bones wrapped up in the pancakes. The corn in the crab and corn soup is now shriveled and old tasting. Silverware/chopsticks never came to the table until asked for. ... The spring rolls are still pretty decent, but do yourself a favor - head up to Buford Highway until Hong Kong Harbour gets its act back together.

Pros: late hours

Cons: sub-par food after change in management

I had a high hope about this place since I love dim sums. I tried in D.C., Las Vegas and NYC. I was hoping that I could eat something else that pancake places for the weekend brunch. It was absolute disappoints starting from steamed shrimp, pork and fried ones. I would not go back there unless I am so hungry or dying for dim sum but I can't get from anywhere else. It would be better shot if you can find frozen dumpling in the asian market and steam them at your own home.

I've eaten here for many years and one of my favorite take/out, dine in Chinese restaurants. The salt and pepper squid is by far my favorite dish at the place. I've never found anything comparable at other places. You definitely won't be disappointed going there.

Where do I start! Iv'e been eating at Hong Kong Harbour for a number of years and I must say the food is great. Some of my favorites are tofu with curry and vegetables, shrimp with vegetables and salt and pepper squid of course. The dim sum is great on the weekends and the staff is friendly as well. One should not get turned off by the decor, the food makes up for it. I say take your friends, take your family or just go it alone! You won't be disappointed.

Excellent service, interesting atmosphere, but the food epitomizes quality Chinese-American cuisine. I've yet to eat at a Chinese restaurant in Georgia whose food tasted better than Hong Kong Harbour.

Pros: Money Saver, Food, Service, Social Restaurant, Located right off I-85

This is a Chinese restaurant well put together - not a cheap American knockoff. The dining tables are quite large, with a rotating lazy susan in the middle to spin around all the dishes you get. I recommend going with one of the group specials where you choose a bunch of entrees and share them. The soup is great and I kept wanting more of it. Our waiter kept joking around with us and kept things lively. I recommend this place for groups of maybe 8 or so to fill the tables.

Excellent customer service, I only waited 10 minutes tops for my order. I had Pepper Steak and the steak was tender and fresh. There were a lot of onions and green peppers that were also very fresh. The quality of the food was much better than your average chinese joint. The decor wasn't that up to date, but I will definitely go back especially with the late hours.

Great place for dim sum! If you are not Chinese like me, you may find a lot of Atlanta dim sum joints don't have many english speaking staff so finding out about the dishes may be next to impossible, BUT there is always someone at HKH who speaks well enough to describe it for you. Don't mind the decor, the food makes up for it. Also, unlike a lot of other places, there are good vegetarian dishes and most of the dishes are served HOT which is a big welcome. The clientele are widely diverse which is a great thing. And you can order off the menu during dim sum and the a la carte dishes do not deteriorate in quality. Great seafood!

I eat lunch here often and the service is always very fast and with a smile. Try the Hong Kong noodles because they are by far the best item on the menu.

If you like Dim Sum, put this restaurant on the list. Go around 11:15 a.m. for the best selection, but it will be fairly busy. This is, by far, one of the best dim sum restaurants in Atlanta. Don't let the looks of the place fool you. It is good. A family-run business (as evidenced by the teenagers that are obviously expected to work on the weekends, but definitely don't want to be there) that is pleasant, clean, and enjoyable.

The scene is your original Chinese, but the food and service is not typical. Everyone is smiling, and your food is quickly brought to the table. The last two times the total time elapsed was less than 15 minutes between ordering. The food is tasty, and I recomend to all my friends.

Tasty seafood hot pots, fantastic dumplings and yummy Hong Kong noodles. It's not a Buford Highway "treasure," but the veggies are crunchy, service is prompt and the seafood is fresh.

Chinese art graces the walls, but otherwise this could be any kind of restaurant. On Saturdays and for Chinese New Year the dragon snakes its way around the perimeter of the room, stopping to entertain the tables with its gyrations.…
