I was at Norman??s Landing two weeks ago and enjoyed the best fried oysters I have ever had; so my wife and I drove over 60 miles to have the fried oysters at Norman's Landing for dinner. They were the worst fried oysters I have ever eaten. The manager was kind enough to come to our table to explain they served all of their GOOD OYSTERS during their oyster-fest and now had to use the smaller oysters. The breading was so heavy on the small oysters it was like eating hush puppies rather than fried oysters. And since Norman ??s only has oysters as an appetizer we had to pay extra for sides. Does that make sense? The total bill with tip was over $40.00 we drank iced tea not beer. After thinking over what the manager said I realized Norman ??s made a conscious decision to serve an inferior product and admit they did so. What kind of management is that? They did offer two $5.00 gift card but I would never go back to a place that admits selling an inferior product and charging a customer as if they were serving their best. Count me out at Norman ??s Landing

One of the few non corporate run retaurants in Ga. If you like feeling "Welcome" when you walk into a restaurant, having a server, bartender or manager genuinely care about your hunger or thirst then this is the place for you! If you have a special request and just like things cooked your way, all you have to do is ask! From lobster tails to grilled cheese sandwiches, the food is amazing! Home made veggies, soups, cobbler and cakes. Fresh seafood, thick juicy steaks, big half pound burgers, and my favorite the best cornbeef reuban in the state! If you are looking for a quick lunch or an extravagant group setting (which they don't charge a fee for) then this place is a must try! You'll be back

If you love seafood like I do you will not be disappointed. Their scallops were HUGE and plentiful and grilled to perfection with a dusting of lemon pepper and I got a little clarified butter on the side. Their Tilapia (almond or pecan crusted) is out of this world.

My other favorite is the country fried steak... now I'm a Kansas boy and thought that nobody could make country fried steak like they do back home and boy was I wrong... it is flat out, the best I've ever had. Try it with their homemade creamed corn and mashed potatoes & gravy and I promise you'll think you've died and gone to heaven. You'll need a "to-go" box because you definitely need to save room for one of their homemade desserts which change every day.

If you want incredible value, fantastic food and amazing service -than take a ride up 400 to exit 13 and pull up a chair at one of Bill Norman's tables. You'll be treated like family!

I am a frequent traveler from Chicagoland with restaurants in my family and friends who know the restaurant business. While in Cumming, GA I found Norman??s Landing on the internet, read the story of the restaurant and decided to give them a try. It was so good I went 2 nights back to back. The first night I had the pecan crusted trout and the second, the grilled scallops both superb. Portions are generous, the salad is fresh while the service is great and the atmosphere relaxing. The manager walks the floor and visits the tables as do the wait staff asking if everything is OK and if you have any other requests. I spoke with the manager who is very cordial. Smiles abound. Being of Greek decent, we have a desire to dine for the soul rather than eat for the stomach. For 2 nights this trip to Cumming, I dined for my soul. Thanks Billb! I will be back.

I just moved to Cumming about a month ago and I don't really know what restaurants are around so I decided to go for a ride to see. I passed a log cabin on Peachtree Parkway called Norman's Landing so I decided to go in and try it. As soon as I walked in I loved the atmosphere. It was very welcoming with all of the pictures and different types of things on the wall. I went around 5:30ish and didn't have to wait for a table. We started off with 2 appetizers, the raw oysters and the fried calamari. The oysters were nice and big and the calamari was perfectly fried. For my main meal I got the cajun grouper and my husband got the shrimp and scallop combination. Both of the meals were wonderful. The grouper was the best thing I have eaten in a while. For dessert we had homemade cobbler. All around the food, service, and atmosphere was great. If you have a chance you should definently try it out!

A friend and I ate here on June 21, 2010, the day after Father's Day. It was as I remembered with a quaint, cozy atmosphere, which was greatly appreciated after the madness of eating out on Father's Day! The bartender on duty was extremely competent and the manager, Teresa, was quite accomodating when I asked for more tomatoes for my salad. We had fried scallops as an appetizer and the fish of the day with the Cajun seasoning which was quite delicious. We played some ping pong and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

This is a fantastic place for seafood! The atmosphere is terriffic and the staff very, very good. Its a cozy spot in the middle of a busy section of town. We had the salmon which was the best I've had in Georgia! I'm from Maine so I know my seafood. Give this place a try and you won't regret it!!

This was the worst resturant that I have ever been to, the service was as deporable as the food. You would think that the steak was boiled and the seafood from a sewer.

Excellent food and service. I usually take my seafood loving friends here and I get to have a delicious steak, cooked exactly as I like it. The main dish comes with two sides, so bring your appetite. There are many sides to choose from, so there is something for everyone. Great key lime pie, too. Norman's Landing is a little loud, though, so if you are looking for a quiet, intimate meal, you may want to go somewhere else.

I'm a seafood fanatic, and am always searching for good local fare (IE NOT Red Lobster). The food at Norman's Landing is consistently great, and the service is always friendly! If you're in the area...you've gotta go!

Compared to the big box restaurants Norman's Landing is a breath of fresh air. The folks at Norman's genuinely care about whether or not you like your food. Norman's is a well kept secret, but not for long as a Mall has opened across the street.

This is in our top 3 favorites restaurant list for N. Georgia. Great atmosphere, friendly service (including the owner) and the food is just great. All ingredients are fresh, no frozen entrees that seem so prevalent in the area. Vegetables picked right out of the owner's garden!
You must try to the blackened catfish (which, oddly enough, is not always available)

Norman's Landing is a wonderful family restaurant located on Peachtree Parkway in Cumming. The food is super fresh and homemade. You won't find anything frozen here. They specialize in seafood and steaks, which are both to die for. The fried shrimp is simply delicious and you can't beat their tilapia sandwich. Go on a Friday when they have homemade banana pudding for dessert!

For those of you would don't have the luxury to live near a lake or the ocean this is the perfect place for you. Norman's Landing offers a good variety of food on thier menu and all of it is to die for. They specialize in seafood of course, but I must say they have the best country fried steak and chicken fingers in town. This place is always packed because it is so good. It' a place that makes you feel at home

The rustic fish camp theme is set in the decor: fishing nets, oars and other paraphernalia lining the walls. The waitresses are cheerful and energetic. Appetizers (the lures) include shrimp prepared one of five ways---grilled, lemon…
