Aunt Effies' is the best place in Ringgold to eat, yeah they are a little small, but that adds to the homey, friendly atmosphere. They are not open on Sundays anymore, but they are open mon - fri . The food is awesome, mediocre is definitely not how I would describe it, and if "southern" food is not your forte, then why would you go to home cooking reastaurant to eat in the first place? The staff is friendly and the dining area is clean and comfortable, the food is hot and fresh, and pretty much all is homemade cooking and not pre-packaged, microwave stuff, like u get at chain restaurants. I would reccommend aunt effies' for anyone.

Aunt Effie's is a small town version of a Cracker Barrel, if you can imagine. The food is definitely southern, and is served in your choice of combinations, such as a three vegetable, 1 entree platter. The prices are very reasonable, and after a while, all of the waitresses know your name. There isn't a ton of seating space, however, and Aunt Effie's can get quite crowded, especially after church. Overall, the food is mediocre, but you definitely get the down-home feel.
