Spade & Neuter Team-Atlanta

I have tried for two months to call and get an appointment. NO ONE ever called us back, no one ever answered the phone. FINALLY after 2 months, we got an appointment. We got up at 5:30 so we could arrive at 7 am. Get there and there's a sign on the door "One of our staff is out today and we will re-open at May 8th. There was a car there so we called, someone answered and hung up. This happened 3 times. We drove back over to the office and this lady pulls up and says, "don't tell me they're closed" and she proceeded to swear. She said, "I've brought my cat here at least 3 times already and they have been closed each time. And then she swore some some. Why is this place so crazy? Only in Atlanta, I've never seen anything like it in ALL the other places I've lived.

I am an independent rescue person and have used this vet clinic for many years. The vet is terrific and I have never had a problem with any dog/cat that I have brought there for spaying/neutering, and there have been many. To the person calling them cat killers. Did you have an autopsy done on your cat? Most likely there was an underlying disease that you did not know about. Did you do bloodwork before the surgery? Guess not. I know for a fact that this clinic works hard and does not take in a lot of money. They believe in spay/neuter to stop the pet overpopulation problem we have in our area. They are also non-profit. Go SANTA-you rock!

We took our one year old cat merlin to get neutered yesterday. We never got to take him home. I hate myself for taking the cheap way out and i hate this place for killing my baby. My fiancee and i are SO heartbroken we cant stop crying. Whatever you do...spend the extra money to protect your babies. If i could..i would sue. But no amount of money could fix what they have done. We are broken.

This place is a little dinky but the staff is great and very helpful. They are committed to helping animals and it shows in the care they give. They are in a convenient location and the prices are very reasonable.

I inherited a cat from a friend. I knew the cat had had some shots as a kitten, but I did not know if it had had all the shots it needed. I took the cat (ironically named "Puppy") to SANTA. They made sure she had all her shots, did thorough bloodwork to make sure she was healthy, and spayed her for less than most clinics would have paid just for the spaying. They were very professional and also very caring and gentle with both me and my cat. I recommend them as a wonderful money-but not quality-saving alternative to for-profit animal clinics.

PROS: Well-trained, thorough, professional, caring, gentle
CONS: Somewhat inconvenient location

This is where all my dogs have been fixed and vaccinated. Absolutely no complications and excellent service. Caring staff and helpful as well. Price is great compared to traditional vet practices.
