I just got a pair of shoes here not too long ago. They have regular brand names (Nike, New Balance, etc. - sorry I didn't look at the women's shoes, but they seemed normal). I think the prices here are definitely lower than what I've seen elsewhere.
PROS: Good Shoes at good prices

Rack Room Shoes is a chain with stores located across the country (mainly in the South, East and South West, though).
They have a decent selection of men's and women's shoes at good prices (not great, but what you'd want to pay for a pair of shoes). Shoes are of the popular and trendy variety as well as the more traditional kind. They have a smaller selection of children's shoes.
Like many other shoe retailers now - you do all the work - you find the shoes, find your size, try them on and replace those you don't want. The inside of the store is not especially nice - semi-warehouse style - but maybe that keeps prices down!
They often have sales and sometimes coupons are available on their web site.
