We have been going to El Torero (Stone Mtn) since they opened. In fact, we were there opening night. One of the most consistent restaurants we frequent. Fast service in a clean establishment with good food. Do yourself a favor and order a special. (The numbered items are good, but explore a little!) I recommend the El Diablo Shrimp, very good.

I have been going to El Torero for several years. There are 4 locations in Atlanta, I think, and I usually go to this one in Stone Mountain. The food is what you would expect in a Mexican restaurant in a strip mall - tacos, quesadillas and nachos. A few of the dishes are definitely better than average - some of the pork dishes, the chimichangas, and the fajitas.

Lunch prices are fantastic. You can eat enough to be full for $6 or $7. Dinner prices are a little pricier, but still reasonable. Service is quick, although the atmosphere is sort of cafeteria-ish.

This is a good choice if you want cheap, fasty, pretty good Mexican.

El Torero is great place to have lunch or dinner. They have really good lunch specials during lunch hours. The restaurant has one large room with many booths. The prices are also very reasonable. I have been there with a large party of people, and seating was no problem.

You generally get your food pretty quick and the service is better than is used to be. I have in the past had problems getting the server to my table if I needed anything but they seemed to have corrected that. The food is great and the service is good. I do recommend that you try this place.

Pros: Good Food, Ample Seating, Great Salsa

Cons: None

The Texas margaritas and bean dip with chorizo are awesome! Food is always hot and delicious. Can get a bit crowded Friday nights. Also, wish they would play Mexican/Spanish music and would have Mexican decor instead of the fishes on the walls.
