I've loved this restaurant for over 30 years! The food is fantastic...service is hit or miss depending on the wait staff sometimes unfortunately. Garlic dinner rolls are addictive.

The atmosphere is great and the food was plenitful and delicious! Well worth the money! Even the seafood wasn't outrageoulsy expensive like at most nicer-dining places like here.

I have always said that a great Italian restaurant can be based on the quality of their Alfredo sauce. If you agree then you find they are top notch. I haven't had anything there that I didn't love. Their prices are very reasonable and recommend Scalini's to anyone who loves Italian food.

Great place. Been going for years. Great garlic rolls. You can do a lot worse than Scalinis. Try it and it will get on your FAv list

Great food, great service, not sophisticated or pretentious. Very friendly staff. I've never gone here and not had a great time. They lean towards fried stuff and the dessert's aren't great, but I go every chance I get.

Ever had really great lasagna? You know the kind: several layers of pasta with cheese, Italian sausage, rich meat sauce and more cheese? Well you won't find it here. Expect ground hamburger, poorly seasoned sauce, skimpy cheese and only the bare minimum pasta. The salad was OK but again only the bare minimum. Their garlic rolls are golfball sized bread puffs drenched with garlic infused oil. No doubt this method saves the kitchen preparation time. You only wish they had used that time more effectively preparing other parts of the meal.

I ate at 6:30 PM and the place was not at all crowded, but the sevice was really slow. Much as I hate to say it, the Olive Garden would be a better choice and it's just across the street.

Ive never had a bad meal here. The salad and rolls are the best!! I got them for a double whammie and went on my birthday (got my meal free) and got there before 6:30 so my guests dinner was only 9.95. Always great service too. Highly recommended.

The garlic rolls and salad are the perfect start to any of the wonderful entrees at Scalinis. This restaurant is one of our favorite places to go to celebrate birthdays. People come from all over to eat in this cozy Italian restaurant.

I love this restaurant! The amazing thing to me is that there is an Olive Garden across Cobb Pkwy. Why would anyone go there when Scalini's is staring at you... beckoning with garlic rolls? It has reasonable prices (check out the early bird during the week -- Sun through Thursday you can get any pasta dish for 9.95 per person before 6:30).

My favorite restaurant by far! It has become a tradition with my friends - we go whenever someone has a birthday (plus, you get it free)!

The Fettucini alfredo and scallops is wonderful, as is everything else.

This is one of my two favorite Italian restaurants. I would probably say that the garlic rolls are their most famous item. The ambiance is perfect! The food is outstanding! If you are pregnant, try the eggplant parmigiana. It supposedly helps to induce labor! :) Love It! GO visit!

My husband & were seated promptly and our orders were taken quickly. Like all the other people said a salad and bread rolls were brought to the table. The salad wasn't very big (& I'm not a big eater!) but was fine & the bread rolls were very garlicky & rustic they were good to me, but my husband had to keep pulling bits of garlic skin out of his mouth!
Our glasses were kept full & but when our mains came out there were so disappointing. I got the Cannelloni Del Mar which was a very small portion (again I'm not a big eater) & it had the extreme minimal amount of seafood. My husbands spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce was horrible. The meatballs did not taste freshly made and there was basically no sauce, just some pasta water with less then a handful of diced tomatoes. The waiter didn't even ask why my husband didn't finish the meal, he just said he was going to get the check. We waited 10 minutes and the manager came by and asked it we were ok. We told him we were still waiting for the check, when he asked the waiter, & he said he thought we were waiting for our food!
My best friend is Italian and I come from somewhere that has a lot of traditional Italian restaurants, this was pretty bad & we won't be going back. To compare a "traditional" Italian restaurant to the Olive Garden is like comparing Panda Express to real traditional Chinese Food. They are two completely different things, however in this case, maybe one in the same!

This was a staple for us at lunch when I used to work over at the pkway. You certainly never wanted to be in a small space with your colleagues after lunch and all that wonderful butter and garlic on the bread rolls. I have had better Italian food, but in Atlanta this is a cant go wrong place. All the dishes I have tried were always good and plentiful. Service was always good and I like the atmosphere / decor of the place.

Went to this restaurant just because I was given a gift certificate.... Oh my god! I dont even know what I ordered--- some sort of lemon chicken--- but it was the best meal i've had in ages. Scalini's is located in the shopping plaza next to Best Buy, and honestly i never thought a restaurant there would be any good, but the food really is to die for!! Just like the other reviews have said, the garlic rolls, and the salad were delicious, and would have filled me up plenty, but the chicken was amazing as well.... yum!! I cant wait to go back so i can try some of the italian pastries that looked so good....

Scalinis has the best italian food. The salad is wonderful and the garlic rolls are the best. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is great and very versatile. They have booths great for couples out for a romantic evening. Scalinis also has rooms great for company parties and family gatherings. I have eaten there many times, both on dates and with large groups. Every time the service and food has been great. I higly recommend scalinis to anyone.

Scalini's reminds me of the Italian restaurants in Little Italy, New York. It's a bold statement considering that Little Italy has some of the best restaurants in the country but Scalini's definitely compares. The food is great. I have always been seated quickly - even on a Friday and Saturday night. The staff is great.

This place makes the Olive Garden seem like the Olive PIT! GARLIC ROLLS are fantastic!!! Food is wonderful....I read other complaints on the Garlic....If you don't like Garlic, first, don't eat real italian food. Go to Pizza Hut!!! THIS IS GREAT! Service Good.

Scallini's is one of the few homestyle Italian places left. Their garlic rolls are amazing and the main dishes are affordable and fulfilling. If there is a wait, you will still get seated pretty quickly. If you are an eggplant fan, it is simply divine.

I recently moved to the West side of town and was pleased to find an authentic Italian place. The portions are incredible. Salad, garlic rolls with TONS of garlic and an entree that feeds me for two meals. If garlic isn't you're thing, make sure to mention it to your server as noted in the other reviews. It's a bit too family-friendly for my taste, so request a booth for a little privacy. It's worth the wait. The service hasn't been consistent, but I find that's pretty much how most ATL restaurants are run. Definitely check it out if you're looking for something different in the area.

I have been here several times and have had different experiences. The food is usually pretty good and the portions are large. I'm a fan of the dinner rolls since I love garlic. The service is ok. They seen to have an issue with removing empty drink glasses. Everytime I have gone lately the servers let the glasses pile up on the table. If you're looking for something better than the Olive Garden this is the place for you.

If you love Italian food, go here. I moved from Atlanta at 19 and if I do anything when I go home, it's go to Scalini's. It's the one restaurant that literally makes my mouth water when I think about it. The bread comes out in a bamboo bowl basting in butter and fresh garlic. The salad is delicious. I cannot recommend the Spinach Tortellini Alfredo high enough. AUGH! I need to go back to Ga STAT.

We were going for Italian, heading towards Olive Garden when we decided to make a left and try this Scalinis Place. Good decision, because originals are always better than chains. It was dark and the booths are separated by walls. It felt old, which is good - feels more Italian than the new American restaurants everywhere. The wine glasses were tiny, though. Not the amount of wine, but the actual glasses - I prefer a large glass to let the red breathe a bit. Pricing - not bad at all.

The food is pretty good, atleast better than the olive garden which is across the street. Parking is hard to find since it is in a shopping ctr with a denny's, ihop, brusters, best buy, and party city. They have unlimited salad and garlic rolls, and the rolls are the best. They are known for their eggplant parmesean inducing labor. So if you are having trouble going into labor, this is your place.

PROS: Good food
CONS: Older people

I had Chicken Marsala and fettucine alfredo. Both were pretty good. Portion sizes are very good. My companions had salad and lasagna and really enjoyed it. The bread is good, although there was a bit too much garlic on the bread for my taste. If you are not a big lover of garlic, ask them to go easy on the garlic. This place offers good value for the money.

We have been patronizing the Scalini's Italian Restaurant since it opened many years ago. As much as we think it is better than Olive Garden across the street (on Cobb Parkway) our latest visit was a disappointment.
The food was bland and the portions were small....and the prices have gone up alomst $2.00 per entree since we last visited. We had to ask several times for beverage ice or refill....including water.
However, the most disturbing element of our visit was the server not returning with change from our cash payment of the checque. Is this standard practice now? Even though we left a tip for the server, we are not pleased that it was assumed that any change under a $1.00 was theirs to keep.
We think that this establishment is holding on, but it is not as good as we remember.
Too bad.
