I have been to several Indian restaurant buffets around Atlanta, but this one is the most extensive. Everything is outstanding and great service. I would advise to go early or late, the crowd during peak lunch hours is large and you often have to wait. I have also ordered dinner take out from here which was also enjoyable. Recommend!

I really enjoy Indian food, but I don't like the food to be too spicy. I found the buffet to be too spicy for the average person, but probably fine for those who eat Indian often and like their food on the hotter side. Service is just okay and can be slow because they are busy. I've eaten there about 4 times, but it isn't my first choice.

Very disappointing experience. Our papad doesn't show up for at least half an hour after which my husband had to ask for it. I asked for dosa and they said they were too busy in the back to make it and if they did it would take a long time for it to come. The paneer pakodas that usually come with chutney were served with a dollop of ketchup. Customer service is zero. All the waiters have the most forlorn look on their faces. They don't know how to interact with the customer. Also don't order the Shahi paneer. it is just a bowl of sauce with a few shavings of paneer.

I had the chicken marsala dinner and it was awesome! Was there with some friends, one of whom had never had Indian food, and he loved it. If you are really picky on service, might not be the spot for you. If you can relax and like to try new food items, this is a great spot. Have not had the buffet, only a la carte menu items. I thought it was one of the best Indian places I had been to, and will definitely go back. Could use a more descriptive menu. Was glad to have an "experienced" Indian food eater with me to explain everything. Not sure the waiters would have been that helpful in that regard.

If you're going to get your food out of a trough - erm, I mean buffet - you could do worse. It's the closest thing to "balti" Indian cuisine in Atlanta - quick, fresh, cheap, and abundant but not the kind of Indian that makes converts and fanatics of us non-Indians. It is one of the few places where a vegan has a decent selection of dishes, both on the menu and the buffet. I've been there around 5 times and never come away either disgusted or craving a return visit.

I don't have a bad word to say about this restaurant. They've got it all from North Indian Cuisine to South. Their lunch buffet is a spectacular spread with everything from appetizers, soups, entrees, nan, sauces, and dessert. I don't live or work anywhere near this restaurant, but I still find myself going out of my way to eat here.

Ate at Swapna after it was recommended by an Indian coworker. The food was pretty good and the price was average. There was a lunch buffet so there is plenty of selection to choose from and service was not an issue as some stated as you serve yourself. The food scent is very strong and you will smell like it the rest of the day, but that may be normal for that type of food with its strong flavors.

This one is near my office. I like the lunch buffet. I go out at least once a month with my office friends. The ambience is not great. It looks dull and furnitures are not that great but food is awesome. I like the south indian food - Vada, Rasam and Idli. The Lunch menu is also attractive. My friends always like the Tandoor chicken ,chiken butter masala and the Goat curry.I had come here once for dinner with my husband and the service was not so great. May be because they were packed. I will definitely reocmmend this one for lunch buffet.

Hi guys... One of my friend was giving us a treat so we went there for first time and order south Indian dishes, like Mysore Masala and Uttapam..... Both dishes are f***ed up..... Mysore Masala was soft like a tortilla and in Mysore Masala, they gave the chatani with sambar instead of spreading it inside the Mysore Masala, Aloo bhaji in Mysore Masala was not dry and was looking like made with gravy... and Uttapam was not like the regular masala uttapa, First time I had seen Uttapam with green peas and carrots.... taste was worst ever... we also thought of taking dessert after this.... but couldn't have it because of previous food quality and taste

This is probably one of the worst restaurants that I have ever been to.... I went along with a friend and was totally disappointed with the quality of customer service and "SELECTIVE" service....... folks that came after us got their entrees before we even got out appetizers .... We had to gently remind thee waiters atleast twice and wait for a bit to get our order !!!!

To summarise... its a horrible restaurant that I wouldn't recommend to anyone else

We hear bad things about the menu food, but at lunch this place is always full of people. The buffet is pretty huge and has enough different dishes to fill you up once you've tried everything.

The ratings appear articially inflated. It is impossible that all indian restaurants have a rating of 4 or 4.5 on 5 and when you visit them, you have the most disastrous experience. The ratings are inflated by restaurant owner and their family who post extremely positive reviews. The result is that all Indian restaurants in atlanta end up having a rating of 4 or 5.
Pl use discretion and word of mouth to visit any Indian restaurant because the ratings are false.

I hope you have a wonderful experience experimenting with indian food.

This is my favorite spot to eat when I'm craving Indian food! I usually go with the ala carte which is about $10 for a deceivingly large portion of food. I love spicy food, so if you do also, you must try the Chicken Vindaloo. I always leave extremely stuffed AND have leftovers enough for 2 more times. It's a great value for the price!

I'm a mother who cooks indian food daily. Swapna is an average restaurant in a run-down building and sanitary issues. Some of the chairs are broken and tables wobble. I have been to restaurants all over the world, and there is NO WAY this restaurant would receive a good rating. I would have to speculate the only good reviews this place has gotten is probably written by the owner or manager himself. I also encountered poor attitudes by staff and management. In fact, I'm Indian, and none of my Indian friends have had a good experience at this restaurant. It's known for POOR customer service! The only reason this place does well is b/c there are no other restaurants in the area to compete. It's a monopoly to be broken. We travel to Gwinnett and Decatur to eat at the BEST Indian restaurants. I wouldn't be surprised if the government shut this place down!

I consider myself somewhat of an Indian food connoisseur as I cook it at home and have eaten at Indian restaurants all over the world including places that are well-known for having authentic Indian restaurants such as London, Tokyo and Washington, D.C. Little Swapna on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia certainly compares. Their lunch buffet is wonderful and their dinners are even better. I didn't expect to be impressed the first time I came here. The place looks run down from the outside but the inside is clean and the place is well-managed. I have been back here at least every 2 months since my first visit.

This is the worst place for families and a date! The owner is rude and has trained his staff to be rude as well. My baby was crying because she was very hungry, so I requested that they bring out the appetizers early. The Owner had the gall to say "I don't care" to my baby and I. Clearly this person has very low morals and should not be in this type of business. Obviously, you can't say the restaurant is much better. The building is old and run-down with some sanitary issues as well. Clearly not a nice place for even a date. The food is average but with the horrible customer service, or lack of, I will never set foot there again. I mean really, how can a restaurant be so cruel to an innocent, hungry, child?????

This place seems to make a mockery of the words Indian Cuisine. It is one of the worst Indian restaurants I have ever visited and am confident I will never return. The food while containing the basic ingredients of what traditional Indian cooking is about were unbalanced and thrown together. The food in general did not have a fresh taste

Delicious! While it looks like a dive from the outside, this is actually a really nice Indian restaurant with attentive servers and delicious food. I have eaten Indian food all over the U.S. and the world and this is truly the best I have ever had. The prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of the food you get. I went for lunch and enjoyed a delicious dal soup and the best Butter chicken ever. I highly recommend it if you're looking for yummy Indian food!

Swapna's lunch buffet is great, especially if you are new to the food. They serve North and South Indian cuisine so it is great for groups and vegetarians. There is no buffet at night so we like that for dates, we try to go on a weekly basis. YUM!

Having seen many of their ads/coupons all over the place, I eventually went there to give it a try. First, the food is nothing special. If you haven't tried other Indian restaurants, maybe the food would taste ok to you. But if you have had Indian food in any of the Indian places in the Indian community around decatur, then you'll know the difference. Second, their wait staff should improve their service. They never smile or show any friendliness. Once your food comes to your table, you are pretty much left alone. The second time I was there, I had to ask them 2 or 3 times before someone finally came to refill my drink (water). You know what, the waiter came with a pitcher of water and left it on my table! BTW, don't ever order their mango lassi.
