Book Rack

My husband & I have been coming to the Book Rack for a couple of years now. We live 2 hrs away but consider it worth the trip. Although somewhat small, I always find a book or audiobook that I have been looking for. We find both the past & present ownership friendly & helpful. Overall, I would rate this a very good used bookstore.

I recently made my first trip to this store, and I have to say that it was not cute or a nice experience at all. The older gentleman working there seemed more interested in checking out my daughter than helping me with books. the store is a mess, and you have to look for twenty minutes to find something in their arbitrary categorization of authors. I had heard such wonderful things about this store; only to find out that those reports were about the previous owner, not the current. I am surprised that they are still able to have any business, given the painfully limited selection and the overabundance of creepiness exuded by the "gentleman" in charge. In my opinion, you would be better served walking down to BAM and getting better service and a larger selection.

This is a quaint little used book store with a pretty good selection of books. The owners are very helpful and friendly and there are plenty of books for your little ones to look through while you look for something for yourself.

They take books in trade for store credit towards more books so it's the perfect place for a book addict who may not have the room at home or the money to keep buying more books.
