I have been a regular customer here for about 3 years and I take classes here.

The Beadcage, www.thebeadcage (dot) com, is one of the best stocked, organized, and well lit bead stores I have ever shopped at. They are also the most upscale gift store in the area. I know they carry Lampe Berger, Pandora, Mylinka, and Mary Francis. They also have other upscale and unique gifts.

They have about 1000 strands of semiprecious stones. They are a Swarovsky distributor and carry just about every Swarovski shape and color available. I know they have a large selection of glass, stone, silver, gold, Kazuri, pearl, bone, wood, and Hill Tribe and Seed beads. Most beads found on strands are sold as individual beads too. I know the owners travel the world to directly import many of their beads. The prices are usually dirt cheap considering the uniqueness and high quality of thei beads. They carry professional grade supplies. There is a nice selection of artist design beads that usually can only be found at bead shows. You will be hard pressed to find the quality selection and low prices this store offers under one roof anywhere.

They now offer many more classes in their dedicated classroom. I have taken all of their basic classes, but now they are brining in famous bead artists to teach. They bring in these people from across the country and have a retreat for the weekend. You can sign up for one or more classes during the retreat and the prices for these classes are at a significant discount compared to other classes I have taken elsewhere over the years. One nice touch is they cater your lunch for free at these classes.

They have a wonderful design department. Ladies from all over bring their wedding and prom dresses to have custom jewelry made for them. People also come in for them to custom design jewelry to their outfits. I have watched them refresh people?s heirloom and vintage pieces. It is amazing how beautiful they can make these old pieces.

Pros: Selection, Price, Environment, Convenience.

I have never been to an "upscale" bead store before. This place was worth the drive (from Florida). The selection and prices are very good and I cannot wait to return. If you like semiprecious stones or Swarovski, you will really like this place.

PROS: Selection, price, lighting and layout of the store.
CONS: Distance from Florida

I think the owners hit the lottery with their new store. It is twice the size of the last one with at least twice as many beads. If you are a beader, this place is a dream. We love the beads classes and gifts. Their employees are friendly and know beading and design. My husband has them custom make jewelry for me whenever he needs a gift... Can't say enough about this place.

PROS: Atmosphere, selection, price, fun.
