4 Stars: Great local video store (by Maya G.)

Video stores are almost a thing of antiquity these days, but we still go to Videodrome to find titles that sources like Netflix doesn't have. They really know their films here.

5 Stars: Great little independent video store (by Di K.)

If you haven't jumped on Netflix bandwagon yet, and appreciate movies other than latest hollywood blockbusters, I highly recommend checking out Videodrome. They have a fabulous collection of foreign movies (divided by country and director), classics, cult favorites, anime, older horror and thriller flicks, obscure movies, and many new releases from independent companies, foreign, and the like. Everyone who works there so far has been very knowledgeable, somewhat of a movie geek, and usually can give suggestions and reviews if you're interested. At the same time they are laid-back, not patronizing or snobby.

PROS: Great selection, great service
CONS: well-known new releases are frequently out
