We recently dined at the Sapphire Grill during our stay in Savannah. The food was good but, I thought it was way overpriced for the quality and quantity. Also, we ordered the mojitos- very tasty drink but, I guess for $14.00 each they should be. I think there are restaurants with better food and less expensive prices in Savannah.

Sapphire Grill is not what you expect to find nestled on a block between icons of southern fried chicken and boiled shrimp. This place should be in Manhattan. It has the ambiance of a New York bistro for "insiders", and serves up the most elegant of steaks, European dishes, and great martinis. The full service bar and an impressive wine list will effectively compliment their interesting appetizers and tasty entrees. The fillet Mignon I had was cooked to my perfection, and could be cut with a butter knife.

You will not see tee shirts and cutoffs here, but you may see celebrities who frequent Savannah. Regardless, the attentive staff will treat you as if you were one. You should make reservations, and you should arrive with enough left on your Visa to enjoy yourself. This is a place for those who are comfortable expecting to get the best food without questioning the price. That is not to say that it is overpiced, just that it is not a place to bring the kids for a fillup meal. You will spend $75-100 a couple for food and drinks.

Seating is on two levels, and they do have an elevator to the second level. The decor is very dark...the walls and ceiling are black. It bustles, it murrmurs, and it has the muted chaos of Savannah's executive business class having a romantic evening.

My husband and I have been here twice, the first on our honeymoon. For three years we have talked about the wonderful food and finally just got to go back. Amazing and fabulous food, service and ambiance!! The grits are my favorite :)

Cons: Reservation a must, and a bit pricey- but great food!

One of the better spots we tried in Savannah. Seemed a bit pricey for the quality of the food but if you're out for a nice night on the town, this is a very good place to go. I would have brought my wife here if she was with me. The restaurant is actually on multiple levels with the second floor being the kitchen so you have to take the elevator to get to the 3rd floor seating area.

I was in Savannah on business and the Sapphire Grill was a recommendation from another co-worker. I'm definitely glad I asked for recommendations. This restaurant is 5-star worthy, great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. I had the Red Snapper and it is one of the best dishes I've had. It is comparable to Red Light in Chicago, another great place. There were 4 of us and we loved everything that was brought to the table, zero complaints across the board. The food is truly a culinary experience. As much as I hate being on the road, Savannah is one place I don't mind spending a few weeks in. If you're going to be in the area, this should be a top pick for restaurants.

What a wonderful hidden treasure in Savannah. My fiance and I were in search of a nice, quiet, place to enjoy a lovely Saturday night dinner on our weekend visit to this fine City.

We were more than pleased with the ambiance, hospitality, staff help and the food and service were above and beyond. We both agreed that the whole dining experience made our visit to Savannah stand out.

Thank you to the entire staff at Sapphire Grill.

This came highly reccomended by people living in Savannah, not just the hotel. Great place. Food was wonderful, the wine list was large, but not overpriced. Service was professional and attentive. We were late night on Tuesday, so it wasn't busy. But I bet it can be. We visited 10 days in Savannah, Hilton Head and Charleston. This was only one of two restaurants that aknowledged our honeymoon. Very highly reccomended.

Although another reviewer insinuated, Sapphire Grill may not make it in Atlanta, the city of "love 'em and leave 'em" food fans; but, THIS AIN"T ATLANTA... a concept people in Atlanta don't seem to conquer. Sapphire Grill is a great place, nice food, and an asset to Savannah. Enjoy it!
