.

Although I've heard they have great sub sandwiches, I really didn't enjoy my dining experience at Donna Maries.

Our meal started with an appetizer of nachos...which turned out to be a plate with a handful of DORITOS covered with nacho toppings. Doritos...the kind you buy at the supermarket.

We'd ordered two pizzas...a pepperoni and a "Greek" speciality pizza. The pepperoni pizza was okay and the Greek pizza was so inedible that we didn't even get the leftovers to go.

If you want to try a sub, I've heard good reviews, but stay away from the faux-nachos and the Greek pizza.

UPDATE: We went back and tried another pizza. It was much better. There was more pepperoni and the cheese was nicely browned (as it should be). Even the crust was better. Perhaps we hit them on a bad night?

But I stand by my earlier nachos comments. On our previous visit, we ordered nachos to munch on while waiting on our pizza order. I'm not looking for bland, chain-restaurant nachos...but I'm also not looking for a plate of heated Doritos & toppings.

PROS: very inexpensive
CONS: n/a
