Great staff and facility! Love the kennel free area. Manager loved on my dog the whole time! Staff was extremely kind and they know what they're doing! Don't go anywhere else!

If you love your best friend, you will not go to this place. Rude, non-caring, unprofessional staff and that is just the initial greeting. Inquire about services and watch them stare at you with no comment. It is apparent that this place

My fur child and I have been loyal customers of Barking Hound Village Lofts for the past 3+ years. We had been going to a different daycare facility but, because of the lack of attention and disregard for his comfort at the other daycare, we switched to BHV Lofts. He gets so excited every time we pull into the Barking Hound parking lot!! He even got a report card after our first visit that detailed his favorite parts of the day, the other fur children with whom he had made friends, etc. The staff is truly an amazing group of people!!!!

One thing I have noticed about BHV that is different from other daycare centers is the low turnover rate. I've seen the same staff members there since my fur child was first "enrolled" years ago. I honestly believe that the consistency of the staff says a lot about the business establishment- it's not easy work so they wouldn't stay unless the compensation and satisfaction with the job description and clientele are high. It is obviously a place for people who love dogs- both owners and care takers.

Finally, whomever wrote that the location (Midtown/Poncey Highlands) is the ghetto is so ridiculously wrong. It is an extremely convenient location for anyone who lives downtown or in Midtown or anywhere in between. Though some may consider it a "transitional" neighborhood, it is absolutely NOT the ghetto and the most important thing, in my opinion, is how your dog is treated and the space/cleanliness/access to the outdoors, etc. BHV Lofts has all of that and more. It is a shame that that review was posted because it is entirely off-base. I hope this somewhat rectifies it.

Pros: location, staff and grooming are both exceptional!!

Cons: none

I have brought my dog to the "Lofts" for doggie day-care and yes, the building is in need of some work, but the staff was been pleasant to work with and great with my boy! The neighborhood is transitional, yes, but NOT a ghetto!

I boarded my 2 dogs there for 4 days. For a mere $240, my dogs came back completely flea infested, despite JUST having their Frontline dose literally the day before. Even worse, they came back with kennel cough!!! They both just had they vaccinations a month and a half ago!!!

The staff was rude and unfriendly. The building is anything but "luxury," and it's in the middle of the ghetto. Their 'large outdoor space" is a 10x15 area with pebbles.

They accused my dogs of destroying a garbage can among other things. My question is, how in the world does a dog have time to destroy a garbage can while being "supervised"?

For the health and safety of your pet, whatever you do, do NOT board your dog here!!!!!

I recently adopted my Yorkie Poo, Mollie, from the Atlanta Pet Shelter. Though she was adorable from day 1, she was a little scraggly and needed a good grooming. A friend of mine recommend Barking Hound Village Lofts and, I must admit, I wasn't sure what to expect. When I dropped Mollie off, she was a nervous wreck! But, before I even left, she was starting to calm down, mostly due to the gentle voice of her groomer, Jillian. So, I felt good leaving her, and just a few short hours later, I got the call that Mollie was ready to be picked up. And let me tell you - they did a BEAUTIFUL job! Mollie is like a brand new pup! She came out all smiles, perfectly happy and oh-so-soft. The folks who work there are just amazing. They are true animal lovers and they treated Mollie exactly as I would have - with gentle, warm affection. The groomer is a genius too. Mollie smells amazing now and she honestly looks like a million bucks! Such a huge difference...and at a great price. I would highly recommend Barking Hound Village Lofts for grooming and I will certainly be trying their doggy daycare service the next time I go out of town. I feel confident knowing that the people there are professionals who treat animals with the love and respect they deserve. After all, they're like family to us. It's nice to work with people who get that.
