First off, ask any potential employer in your field of study of their opinion of hiring from this school...specifically in the fields of Nursing and Cosmetology in my experience. This school rates at the bottom of the list for reputation and reliable education and after my experience here I get the, "I told you so" comments. For me, I am an "A" student, and be prepared that if the rest of class flunks they will be given lenient pass that follows with public school tradition. First visit to the Marietta CTC headquarters on information day I am greeted with a Cosmetology professor who is arrogant and condescending to students--quite shocked from this. On visit to Paulding campus they are friendly and helpful, but no longer offering what I needed. On visit to North Metro they are very friendly and seemed to have their act together. I chose to attend North Metro Technical College. NMTC merged into CTC summer of 2009 which I was not enthusiastic about due to CTC's reputation and turning out to be a very bad decision. However everything seemed okay at the beginning though I noted that the classes schedule for my diploma program changed from the intial program info sheet I first received. No big deal right? They had to modify, and changes have to happen sometimes. Apparently this was not a one-time change or rare occurrence. Every quarter they change the schedule of planned classes being offered, the order of prerequisites, even the times and days of week to some extent, which in turn constantly changes what you the student can take and in turn extends the timeline until graduation. They tell me now that I can't come back for the class I need until a year from now...maybe, but everything is subject to keep changing! They have no logical, sound, or reliable plan. Talk about utterly frustrating! Now I and other students must transfer in order to get the training and graduation we need to get to reach our career dreams. Shame on them for jerking students lives around! They are indifferent to the students livelihood to maintain a organized, consistent, and timely plan to graduate and start careers as well as students limited financial resources. Note the graduation rate is 18%...pretty pitiful result, but a good indicator for what your experience will be here. There are some great professors here, but the directors need to be removed before they sink everyone's current and future careers. I wish I could have given a better review...wish I could have gotten to graduation! So if after reading this you decide to attend be ready to hear later I told you so!

I am a student at North Metro Technical College , DO NOT TAKE THE MEDICAL ASSISTING PROGRAM . I have been attending this school for 2 years and I am almost finished only to find out that my instructor and the program director is a dishonest, hateful, disrespectful, intimidating , HOT HEAD. That threatens your graduation if you try to have anything done about her lack of teaching and people skills . The school is fine just take a different program. If you want to be a medical assistant go to a different campus. It's not the work or assignments that you can't handle its the LIES and INSTRUCTORS

I've gone here to get my hair done a couple of times and I've left there with my hair done better than at a salon! I've gotten a wash and set, rod set, sew in, and I have never been disappointed. I'm a college student and I needed the cheaper price and it was sooooo worth it. I definitely will go back.

Pros: The prices are significantly cheaper!!! and they do great!
Cons: These are students in training, which can be scary at first :-/

North Metro Tech is where my husband earned many IT certifications for nothing due to the benefits of the Hope Scholarships. The teachers are very informed and supportive and the administration was helpful throughout all the paperwork. We would recommend there programs highly. The campus is very convenient right off of Interstate 75 and 2 minutes form our house.
