4 Stars: Spectacular Christmas (by Shanda D.)

I love visiting during Christmas. The house is beautiful. The decorations and lights during the season are awesome. It is peaceful to walk through and view the sites. Even when the house is not decorated they offer wonderful camps for children and you can view wonderous art works. The tour that is offered is worth hearing the organ. Go visit!

3 Stars: Mansion for Special Events (by Brian M.)

My wife and I visited Callanwolde Fine Arts Center first when it was lit up for Christmas. They do a beautiful job decorating this Tudor Mansion for the holidays. We then visited Callanwolde while we were selecting a site for our wedding reception. This was a great place, with lots of character and rooms. We didn't like how our guests would have been divided into several different rooms, so we opted out. But the staff was nice to work with and the house was really nice if you are looking for a special events facility near Virginia Highlands.

4 Stars: Great Place (by Rachel E.)

For many years I have attended activities (and even taken a class) at Callanwolde. The facilities are pretty, and have an interesting history. If you ask some of the long term staff they can tell you some stories.

They offer a range of classes for all ages and areas. Try an acting class with Marty - You will love it.

5 Stars: Dozens of classes, great events, friendly staff (by Robin R.)

Most Atlantans are familiar with Callanwolde in some way, but too many people don't know about the great classes they offer! The schedule changes quarterly and there's always a great variety of different courses offered for both adults and children. A few of the classes offered are ballet, tap, jazz, music appreciation, pottery, languages, and drama. That's for adults! There's a whole range of offerings for kids, too, including Kindermusik. Call or check their website to find out times, dates, and fees, which are very reasonable. Parking is free and plentiful, and traffic is usually manageable during the class times.
