Mind Body Day Spa At Midtown

I would like to take the time to let you know about the frustrating experience I had at M&B. I am not unfamiliar with the Spa world and I know how I am supposed to be treated and this is NOT the place to go if you want that utmost care of treatment. I happened to meet the manager of M&B a few months ago when I happened to be out She asked me what type of massage I like and gave me a wonderful recommendation to one of the female massage therapist. I came in for the first time and had a wonderful experience and already felt comfortable knowing that I had already met the manager Now fast forward to finding time to come in (I'm a wife, mother of 2 and work a full time job). I booked my appointment a month in advance (June 27th, 2008). On June 26th 2008 I received a last minute call saying that A) My therapist was out of town and B) There was NO other availabilities with any other therapist. I have been booked for an entire month why could no one have said anything sooner to me or made sure that I was at least taken care of by another therapist? I was furious. So on the morning of the day I was supposed to have my appointment I called cause I felt that I deserved to be compensated some how or another. When I called and explained my frustration about the situation they went on to tell me A) There were openings and B) MY THERAPIST WAS THERE! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Then he went on to tell me that they would have to make sure everything was ok and call me back, weird. At this point I am scrambling around to change my day hoping that he would call back soon so I could come in He eventually called back to let me know I would be able to have my appointment, but I was not compensated for any of my troubles. I am not just one of those people who's looking for a free ride but I do truly believe in customer service Once I got there I was extremely disappointed to see that the manager who had taken such great care of me before was NO longer with the company.

I am a licensed manicurist and am very strict when it comes to sanitation. Lauren at Mind and Body Day Spa was wonderful. The atmosphere was so relaxing. She soaked my feet in a coconut milk soak, used a Fijian sugar scrub, and a coconut body butter on my feet. After she put the body butter on my feet, she wrapped them in hot towels. Her massage was heavenly. Lauren's personality made me feel like I was with a good friend. Also, can we say the girl is clean? She wore gloves, used a foot file with replacable files, and was cleaning when I came back to give her her tip. I hate that the other person had a bad experience but they should check Lauren out; give her a chance. If you don't like her, I don't know if you're human. She was so accomadating and chipper. I wish more people in the service industry were like her. 2 thumbs (and all toes) up for Lauren at Mind and Body Day Spa

Great way to relax and feel rejuvenated with a massage or facial. We joined over a year ago with a lifestyle membership (monthly visits for two). It is great girls day out.

I have been a regularly treating myself for a year and a half at this Spa. I have attended several different spas prior to finding this one. Mind & Body tops the list in customer service and pampering their clients! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is so helpful! With two locations, it is convenient and affordable. I've gotten the best facial I've ever received here! It keeps me going back month after month! I've had several "Girls Day Out" at the spa and even gotten by boyfriend to go. It has been a great way to pamper ourselves and feel good about it! My skin has never looked better!

I have had the japanese hot stone massage several times with Javier. Always a great experience. They have always been nice and I've enjoyed the atmosphere.
