This was our first time dining at Trackside Grill and we definitely will be back. It is a nice, quiet and dainty place with a great wine selection and wonderful food. This is the best meal I have had in a long time. Not typlical of other restaurants. Great presentations. We are going to try the brunch next time around but we will be back for dinner again very soon!
Trackside Grill is a treasure in Kennesaw. We live 20 miles away in Woodstock and don't hesitate to make the drive to eat there. The food is first class but extremely reasonably priced. Presentation is lovely, everything is fresh, service is terrific--what more could you want? They also have frugally priced drinks even with top shelf liquor. Desserts are yummy and homemade. My vegetable plate wasn't the usual boring stuff from most restaurants. It was a gourmet delight. We will be back again soon. I would give Trackside 5 stars under "Great Local Restaurants". I decided on 4 because there are some places intown that are the once per year special occasion dining experiences. But for good food at excellent prices, Trackside is on our "Go To" list.
At the recommendation of several friends, we finally had the chance to eat as this popular local eatery. They offer a nice selection of goodies to tantalize a variety of tastes. We especially enjoyed their incredible stuffed French toast.
Quaint atmosphere complete with outdoor seating that allows you to take in the sunshine and enjoy a day out ....
The city of Kennesaw has advanced in the world of foodies. Trackside Grill is in the center of Main Street in downtown Kennesaw and the food is fantastic. Southern flair, a seasonal menu and fresh ingredients make this a great restaurant. The owner is on site and taking care of customers almost everyday. The brunch menu is great as are the Fried Green Tomatoes with roasted red peppers with goat cheese. YUM!!!!
Trackside Chicken was pretty good. I love the hot and the soy ginger sauces that you can choose from.
Attention: Please do not eat at Trackside Grill. They gouge people and overcharge them for items not ordered. Coupled with a horrible owner, and even worse wait staf this experience is the ABSOULTE worst. Charged my 9 year old son $15 for a kids meal! This place has zero integrity and void of any customer care.
Perfect updated Grill with excellent southern cooking and
service. Try it, you will like it.
I dined at the Trackside Grill for the first time for Thanksgiving dinner and was very very pleased with the food and how much it reminded me of dinners at my grandmothers when I was growing up as far as the flavor. The decor was pleasant and the service was friendly and efficient. They manage to provide an elegant atmosphere with down home cooking. That is not an easy task. The food is served and garnished beautifully and as wonderful as the pictures depict. Their prices are very competitive and reasonable and the wine list is nothing to sneeze at. I love my whole experience there. I have recommended it numerous times to people and my daughter and I will be having her birthday lunch at the Trackside Grill in a few weeks.
We come to trackside grill at least twice a month. We absolutely love it. This is my favorite restaurant in the Kennesaw area. The food is some of the best southern cooking in Atlanta. The staff is very friendly.
I had heard about Trackside through some family and friends and decided to try it out. I was very impressed! The food was delicious, different from most of the chain restaurants in this area. I have been a regular customer for some time now and I thoroughly enjoy myself each time I dine. On Wednesdays, they have their Comfort Classic special and on the weekends, they usually have a special that is unique and quite tasty! I highly recommend Trackside.
Pros: comfort food, excellent service
I was in there area coming from a business meeting stop by and I'm glad I did.
I was in the mood for something that would take me back home. And there Southern Pot Roast did just that!
Enjoy the atmosphere great customer services and my food was hot and ready . If I'm in there area again I will definietly stop by with business partners
Pros: tender roast, great atmosphere
Cons: don't have any
i love that i can sit back here and not have to shout to make myself heard. they have all my comfort food available and it's always served with a smile from the server. i go here all the time
This place is a Prime Example that 'Carpetbaggers cant cook Southern Food. Their Fried Green Tomatos are like a Greasy Sponge.
Cons: Terrible Food
Trackside is a great family resturant. My family has been dining at Trackside since it opened several years ago. As a local businessman, Trackside is a great place to take clients for lunch or dinner. Unlike many chain resturants, you can actually carry on a conversation without having to raise your voice or strain to hear people at your table.
I would highly recommend Trackside to anyone that is interested in good food and a welcoming atmosphere.
Pros: Tremendous value and great food
Does any one remember the classic movie "Fried Green Tomatoes"? I use to watch it all the time when I was little. I had never been to a place that served fried green tomatoes, until I ate here. And to my surprise, they were delicious! I've eaten at this restaurant several times since and have never had a bad experience with food or service. Their food is authentic and they have a wide variety of options for kids and adults. I would recommend the mac-n-cheese and the chicken pot pie. Yum!! They also have nice patio seating. I can't wait for warmer weather so I can sit out there. :-D
Pros: scrumptious food, clean & cozy restaurant
Cons: can't think of any.
Me and the fiance eat there regularly. We enjoy the comfort food offered and the service provided. We see the same faces each visit. The restaurant has nice relaxed atmosphere. They offer excellent specials on occasions such as Valentine's Day and New Years. It is our favorite locally owned restaurant in town.
Pros: Good relaxed atmophere
If you like chain restaurants and boring everyday food, Trackside is not for you.
If you like fresh, homey, tasty, unique and a great experience, then head over to Trackside Grill in Kennesaw!
Nice variety on the menu, great hosts and a wonderful meal
Pros: great affordable food, great experience
This is home cooking at its best. My favorites for lunch are the Chicken Pot Pie and the authentic Cuban Sandwich. You must try the homemade soups. Yum!! For dinner I like the Blackberry Tenderloin and the Chargrilled Salmon. The corn muffins are to die for. The owners Laura and Brett always make me feel at home at Trackside Grill. Great service.
Pros: Great Food-Great Value
My favorite thing about Trackside Grill is that you don't have to drive all way way to Atlanta / Buckhead to have a great meal with wonderful service. My husband and I always choose Trackside for a date night. They have a good wine selection and seasonal menus that are SO GOOD! My personal favorite is the Macaroni & Cheese. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the Knife & Fork Egg Sandwich for Sunday Brunch. I definitely recommend Trackside Grill to anyone who wants to try the best southern food around!
Pros: Great food, huge portions, reasonable prices
My wife and I are regular's at Trackside. It's nice to go to a place and the owner's remember your face and the staff is pleasant. Great selection of comfort food, good prices. The "fork and knife" sandwich for the sunday brunch could be the best breakfast meal I have eaten.
Pros: Good Food & Good Prices
My husband and I have been regular customers of Trackside Grill since it opened in 2003! We were both students at KSU and found its downtown Kennesaw location very convenient in between classes. The food is so delicious and unique (you won't find anything like this at the local chain restaurants!). Our personal favorites are the Fried Green Tomatoes, Chargrilled Salmon with collard greens and hopin John rice, Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich and the B&B Spinach Salad! You get great portions of food so if you can??t find enough room to order dessert after dinner, make sure you come back for a coffee cocktail and try some of the best Banana Bread Pudding ever! The atmosphere isn??t noisy like most restaurants in town and the outside patio makes for a great dining experience when the weather is nice. If you haven??t tried this friendly neighborhood restaurant yet don??t delay!
The only thing that could make this restaurant better would be if it was in Alpharetta! The food is what I WISH I could make at home! The portions are so much that I get to take home and enjoy it again for lunch another day.
I COULD LIVE ON THE CORN MUFFINS ALONE!
We have always had super service, with very nice, attentive servers.
And, it is wallet-friendly...
Pros: Really good food, nice portions, great value!
Cons: Not close enough to me!

If you??re tired of fast food and craving a homemade meal, but don??t have the time or energy to prepare it yourself, then head over to Trackside Grill in Kennesaw. You??ll have plenty options to satisfy your craving.
Owners Laura and Brett Olsezski have offered comfort classics for some time now, but they have recently expanded the selection because of numerous requests.
I asked Brett what comfort food means to him. He paused thoughtfully, said he would think about it, and get back to me. A few days later, he handed me a neatly typed sheet of paper with a couple of paragraphs about what it means to him. Here is what he wrote:
??I remember back in the day when my Mom would say, ??Be home no later than 5:30 to set the table.?? Shortly after 6, I could hear my dad??s voice echoing across the neighborhood. I would jump on my bike (helmets were not yet required) and quickly pedal home. IT WAS SUPPERTIME!
The memories I have as a carefree eight-year-old eating my Mom??s favorite recipes define for me what comfort food is today. A grown-up in these tough economic times often feels stress juggling heavy workloads and busy families. When families get together to eat dinner, parents want to provide something soothing and warm and stress-free. Trackside Grill offers a straight forward approach to classic comfort food while adding our own contemporary twist that will please the entire family.?
I was impressed by his definition of comfort classic, and I think it really does define what Trackside Grill offers. The careful thoughtfulness and preparation he used in defining the word is indicative of the thoughtfulness and preparation of the food at Trackside.
The new entre Pork Chops & Applesauce are made in ??Shake and Bake? style and are served with house-made applesauce, asparagus spears, and good old macaroni and cheese. A classic favorite, Stroganoff, is kicked up a notch with Porcini mushrooms and meatballs and is served with garlic toast points.
Of course, the Southern pot roast tastes like Grandma has been cooking it all day. I may never cook again.
Some of the most popular comfort classics continue to be the Chicken Pot Pie, Country Fried Steak, and Buttermilk Fried Chicken. What??s not to like about those favorites?
The comfort classic theme has made its way onto the sandwich board, too. Remember the days of a grilled cheese and hot cup of tomato soup? Try Trackside??s ??Grown-Up Grilled Cheese? made with aged cheddar, Swiss, and American cheese with Applewood smoked bacon and tomato on a buttered challah. Try it with a cup of soup; the soup of the day at Trackside is a real comfort to me. I particularly like Laura??s ham and bean soup, but the crab bisque is always good, too.
Other new entrees on the sandwich board include a Buffalo fried chicken sandwich, an ??ultimate? French dip, and a chicken and rice wrap. You may now order most of the sandwiches at dinner, too, but you may want to try the chargilled salmon with a side of braised collard greens and hoppin?? John Carolina rice. I could eat the Hoppin?? John by itself with just a slice of cornbread and call it dinner.
Trackside is now offering a cup of soup or salad with any dinner entre; it??s a nice touch and makes you feel very welcome. Just like home.

Pros: Great food, friendly service, reasonable prices
I love going to Trackside Grill. Everything I've tried is delicious & the staff is always great. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice place to go in Kennesaw.
Pros: Great food & nice staff
My family has been here a couple of times and each time the experience and the food is just ok. The last trip here was for lunch. We were sat at a table that was situated under a leaking hole in the ceiling. Nice...
We moved our table over and alerted the staff, they didn't seem to interested. We ordered appetizers first. Their fried pickles are truly wonderful. Our friends had the calamari and they said it was tasty. After that my husband and I split a Ruben sandwich. Not good. The meat was rubbery and the sandwich itself soggy. Our children had the chicken fingers and they came out burned. The service was average. I probably won't be going back, and more than likely won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone else.
Pros: You can always get a table
Cons: The food isn't that great...
Who would have thought this gem of a restaurant could be found within walking distance of Wild Man Bill's? An intown resident and big city business traveler, I dine out a lot and loved the original and tempting menu Trackside had to offer. A southern flair with well traveled taste. The quality of the food rivals any intown casual dining exerience. When visiting my mother I brought her here for brunch. We sat on the patio and watched the train go by. Everything from the sweetness of the sweet tea, the ripeness of the strawberries, and the tart-but-not-too-tart grapefruit juice was completly on point. This "grill" has great recipes, a great chef, great wait staff, and is well managed...an all around fantastic experience and I will absolutly return. In Kennesaw??!! Menu is online - check it out!
Pros: Great Brunch, Not Crowded, Attentive Wait Staff
