I bought a Kia Forte Sedan a few weeks ago from Carriage. Let me say first that the car is great so far and that the price was good as best as I can tell.
Now the bad.
During the process the salesman wanted to see if I could qualify me for Kia financing which would result in a $500 kickback for the deal. I agreed. In addition to that the dealership without my knowledge ran the financing through three banks. That of course dings your credit rating.
I still don't have a title for the car. I sent a couple of Emails to the salesperson with no response. I called the General Manager yesterday about both problems. He said he would get back to me this morning. No call. I called mid-afternoon and left a message. No call.
When I called to get the contact info for Carriage's corporate offices I interestingly was put through to the General Manager. He'd had a tough day he said but couldn't quite say he was sorry that he hadn't called me back. He was very defensive about the credit inquires, assuming the salesmen, who he hadn't talked to, had gotten my permission to run the deal through the banks.
Oh, the title, Georgia's fault not his. I'm on my own.
Carriage is really good a robo-calls, if you like them, buy a car from Kia. If not, go to another Kia dealership.
Very dishonest! They changed the figures on the buyers agreement. They said they were giving us $12000 for our car and then gave us $9000. Overall made the experience as complicated as possible so they could screw us. SHADY SHADY SHADY BUYER BEWARE

The best car buying experience I've ever had. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. There was absolutely no pressure to buy. I told Robert what kind of a vehicle I was looking for and what I wanted to pay as far as monthly payments go. Not only did he put me in the perfect car for my family, he was able to keep my payments much lower than what I told him. I would recommend Carriage Kia to anyone.
I have purchased five vehicles from Carriage Kia and they have come through with amazing deals each and every time. Their staff is very courteous and professional. Most recently, I went there for an oil change/tune up. The service department was timely, friendly and did a great job. I will continue to go to Carriage for all my vehicle purchases and maintenance.
Had a wonderful experience shopping for new car at Carriage Kia in Gainesville. I had specific parameters for leasing a new car, which were all met and in the price range I wanted. There was no pressure from the sales person and he was able to quickly assess my needs/wants and steered me (no pun intended!) to a Kia Sorento. This was the first dealership I had visited in my search for a new car and I intend to return when my lease is up!
Excellent experience at Carriage Kia. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. There was no pressure to purchase. The experience was most pleasant from our initial meeting with Chris, to the test drive to driving away in our new Sorento! Excellent experience with a top notch staff. Great work, guys!
Great experience at Carriage Kia buying our 2013 Sorento. Megan Walker, our Sales Consultant, did a great job organizing our deal including getting us top dollar for our trade. We told her what we wanted to pay and she came back just under that price. I expected some haggling over price, but didn't even have to. I would recommend this dealership, but ask for Megan.
The people running the Service Dept at Carriage Kia are some of the best. My daughter bought a 2012 Kia Soul last year around Thanksgiving and this Spring I bought a Kia Optima. We've taken our cars there for the free first year oil change/tire rotations, they make the appointment for you and get you in and out quickly, even a complimentary car wash. I had a problem with the front wheel on my car in December, they fixed that quickly as well with no charge. Very happy with the folks working in the back!
6 months ago i bought a 2012 Kua Soul from Jeremy Jones, my ecperence with Carriage Kia was the best i have ever had with a car dealership, they are friendly caring they are not pushy and they let you have the tome to make a decision on your own. I would recommend Carriage Kia to anyone who is looking for a car, i have recommened so many people to them i will continue to do so. They are the best, the other day i had to take my car to the service dept. as always the service was the best. Very professional.
I recently purchased a 2013 Kia Soul from Carriage Kia in Gainesville, GA. The sales process was pleasant from the test drive to driving our new vehicle home. All of the staff at Carriage are friendly, professional and are the epitome of customer service excellence. My wife and I are both in customer support professions and we both uphold customer satisfaction to a high standard. This past Saturday 12/15 my vehicle was brought in for it's first scheduled maintenance. I was greeted before I could get out of the vehicle and offered a cold beverage and had a seat in the comfortable and clean customer waiting area. My appt was at 4pm and they took my vehicle back early (I arrived at 3:30 pm). My vehicle was ready to drive home $0 charge (first year is on Kia) and the service department can also be rated top notch in customer service.
Overall, a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this dealership if you're in the market to purchase or lease a Kia.
I had my 2011 Kia Optima serviced on Monday, 8-13-2012. I called that morning, even though it was last minute and was able to get an appointment. They had sent me a special in the mail on an oil change, and they also washed my car as an added service free of charge. They had my oil changed and car washed in 30 minutes! Great service and a great price. I've been very pleased with my entire experience at Carriage since I bought my car in 2011. The service department is top notch, very friendly and they have very competitive pricing. It's a win/win for me as a customer.
I am a "Two-Time" Kia owner. First I had a Kia Forte, now I have a SOUL and I love lovelove it. Darryl was my sales rep and he was so helpful with finding the right one with the options I wanted and the price I could afford. Nothing but Kia for me from here on out, if they would just make a truck I'd have it made
I purchased a new 2012 Kia Sportage for my wife from Carriage Kia. Not only was the sales experience superb but the service department is top notch. I've had our Sportage serviced twice thus far and each time the service department has completed the services right the first time and had me back on the road when promised. I definitely plan to have our Sportage serviced there. Remember, you get what you pay for! Thanks Carriage Kia!
Customer Service at Carriage Kia in Gainesville is outstanding. The Service Department personnel are intentional in providing a thorough explanation of any work that needs to be done on your vehichle. Appointment times are always honored and service is provided in a timely manner. I highly recommend Carriage Kia!
I have a kia and the service department at carriage kia has always been professional and willing to help. They have performed the maintenance on my vehicle in a very timely manner. I have even called at the last minute and they have taken me for a quick oil change with little to no wait. I have not had a bad experience yet with there service department or any of their techs.
I was having an issuse with my traction control and called to Carriage and they got an appointment very quickly. I went in and had my car checked out and fully inspected. I was expecting to be there forever but surprisingly they were pretty quick. I also liked they didn't try and tell me I needed all sorts of other stuff to just make money :)
Our Sorento was due for some routine maintenance and we unexpectedly had a dashboard indicator light come on. We were able to call Carriage and have an appointment made within about an hour of the time we called. Our vehicle was promptly checked in and the problem addressed and maintenance performed. I had a pleasant wait in a nice, cool waiting area complete with TV and WiFi and left the dealership a little over an hour following my arrival with freshly maintained vehicle; with our problem addressed (under warranty!); and a complimentary car wash and vacuum job to boot! Couldn't ask for more!
Our experience at Carriage Kia has alway been a pleasant one. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Our service has been provided within a reasonable amount of time and the waiting area is quite comfortable. As of this date we have had nothing but good things to say about Kia.
Dropped by for an oil change, tire rotation, and balance. I had made an appointment and they took my car right back. They had it ready for me in just over an hour. I'm not sure how long the wait would be without an appointment, so I'm grateful that they offer an option to make an appointment. The waiting room was very comfortable and spacious. I'll defintely return for future maintenance.
Their advertising slogan is "Carriage Cares". The question is, "What do they care about?" I had the worst experience with a car dealership in my life at Carriage. I went in not really prepared to buy a car but wanting to. I knew that my credit was less than perfect. However, that should not allow the sales people to be condescending to me. The first guy treated me like a total idiot because I am female. After he told me that the car I wanted simply could not be obtained, I requested another person. Never even got his name but he pressured me for 3 hours to purchase a used car. Granted, the used car was very nice. However, I knew that they were making at least a $4,000 profit on that car if it sold at their asking price (based on auction sales data, etc.) The salesman said they could not come down on price, I was lucky they would even talk to me. He made me feel like a deadbeat. I had a divorce which ruined my credit. I am back on track and paying everything on time but he talked to me like I was scum. Then, he played the monthly payment game. He kept coming back with different figures but would never tell me APR, selling price, how long the loan was for, etc. I sat there and decided that I wanted to try to live for a few months on the amt of money left over as if I had bought the car to see how do-able it was. I decided not to bind myself to this car without trying it on first. He went nuts. Kept saying, wait here, I'll be right back. Then I could hear him talking about me across the showroom. He didn't care that I was about to do something really stupid and get myself into a loan that I might have had trouble paying back. He only cared that he make his quota and profit so he could go buy more diamond-encrusted gold jewelry. Rappers wear less bling than this sleazeball. He reminded me of a creepy Alec Baldwin. Eeeewwww. Long story short, I finally was able to pry myself out of that place and leave. As I walk away, the original salesman muttered I wasted his time. Classy. Carriage Cares. They care about making a sale, no matter what it takes. Beware.
These people are out of there DAMN mind. They dont care about you!! They tried to get me to lie about where I lived to be approved for the loan when I refused they kept my 14,000.00 Down payment and my trade in. Trade in was a 2004 Jaguar xj8. So guess what they told me my only option was. A 2002 yukon with 175k miles on it. SO not only did they keep my jag but also my money and gave me a car that broke down on me a week later and I cant drive it. WHATEVER YOU do DONOT buy from this dealer and if you have had a situation like this happen to you and feel you were involved in FRAUD email me cause im getting a lawyer!!! Dparks305@gmail.com
Dealership would not take NO for an answer and then reneged on contract 48 hours later.
After accepting our trade "sight unseen," despite our insistence we bring it to them before making a deal, they demanded more money when delivery of the trade was attempted; initially threatening us if we walked because we "signed a contract."
Even after accepting new terms, they then refused to honor the agreement and treated us as 2nd class citizens whose money was not good there. (apparently that contract wasn't so binding afterall)
In the end, I am glad they did us the favor because I would want to vomit every time I had to drive a car I bought from them. We will still get our new car from another dealership and they will still have a car to sell (with 150+ more miles on it than when we started).
Clearly, they will do anything to get a sale and care nothing for the customer or about service. The dealership is arrogant and an excellent example of the worst kind of business practices.
My husband visited Carriage on Thurs. to look at a 2009 Prius. He and the salesman discussed the price and possibly using our Honda Ridgeline as a trade. Since he did not have the truck, he gave a detailed description and was told, on paper, that we would likely have an "out the door" price of $2000. They offered to drive the Prius to our home (2 hrs away) and pick up our truck so we could drive the Prius for a few days. My husband told them that if the number was not going to be around that $2000 mark, we would be very dissatisfied when we returned. They assured him that it would be close. Today (Sunday) when we returned they not only gave us a number $4,800 higher, but also said that the salesman he had worked with left the company two days ago and took all of his paperwork with him. The used car manager, Jeff, told us the trade in wasn't worth near what we'd thought, even though my husband had informed them of everything that Jeff indicated to be a problem on Thurs when they gave us the estimate (miles, body work). The manager on duty, who finally spoke to us, told us he feels that they knew the trade in value was lower than they indicated on Thursday (it is not)and they probably thought that if my husband brought home the car and I fell in love with it, we'd be willing to pay anything. WE knew this, which is why my husband warned them on Thursday that we would not be buying if the number was not the same when we returned. This is the most dishonest business practice that I have ever dealt with. Nobody was willing to accept responsibilty, blaming both the fired salesman and/or the asst. appraiser (who happened to have the day off), then readily admitting with no real remorse that they assumed we were foolish, emotional buyers and would not expect them to hold true to their word.

We recently bought a Kia Forte from this dealership. When we took the car in for its first service, the technician advised my husband that one of the tires was bad and that he had never seen a tire lose its tread in the middle of the tire. He also advised us that we would have to pay for another tire because the damaged one was due to "road hazard." Of course, they cannot tell us what type of road hazard would cause this type of damage to a tire! The dealership will not stand behind the tire because "we didn't make the tire." The manufacturer will not stand behind the tire either. The Service Manager talked to me like I was stupid. We feel they should stand behind their product especially if a tire is peeling its tread after only 4000 miles! DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT! I will never buy another Kia and I will advise everyone I know NOT TO BY ONE- buyer beware!
