This store is always constantly improving itself. They have a vast variety of natural dried herbs you can use for cooking, healing, and gardening. It's whole food selection is one for the naturalist of naturals

Sevananda

by Iman Y.

This store has pretty much any herbs and healthy foods you can imagine. The only problem is that a lot of their products are pretty expensive. If you don't mind spending some extra money, then this store shouldn't be a problem.

Very helpful

by Barbara B.

I needed help with an herb and also choosing some tea. The girl was very helpful, explaining along the way. I was very impressed with this store. I would go back and I will!

Great Teas

by Shanda D. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 242

I like to try and make my own tea blends and purchasing them from local grocery stores can be expensive! At Sevananda I can go tea crazy! I purchased some raspberry tea and it was delicious and inexpensive!

Great Co-op

by Tahereh P. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,813

Sevananda is a quaint organic/health foods store located in Little Five Points. The store fits in quite well with the Little Five Points Community and offers a variety of organic produce and foods. It is a little bit small though so there is not as much variety as you may find in other health food stores but the prices are great for organic foods and the service is wonderful.

Fabulous selection, friendly & helpful people, reasonable prices

by Robin R. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,445

In the battle to eat organic, Sevananda stands out as a great intown organic grocery with reasonable prices that don't leave you dipping into your kid's college fund. It's easily accessible and carries a great variety of organic products as well as being cooperatively-owned. Shoppers are encouraged to become member-investors (which also gets you a 10% discount on the tenth of every month). The coop also holds classes on various subjects from yoga to cooking, taught by knowledgeable people. It's a friendly place to shop, plus you're eating healthy - what's not to love?

Organic & Natural foods

by Suzy W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,036

Sevananda is a market full of organic and natural foods. It also happens to be in the middle of L5P and is a huge consumer owned cooperative which has been around for over 25 years. If you go definitely try the food from the kitchen. They serve the best salads. Another great thing about this place is that they hold regular cooking classes which have helped my daughter adjust to her new Vegan lifestyle.

Eat healthy-Live longer

by jaejie

I used to use Sevananda back when I was a strick Vegitarian (no dairy, no animal fats) for all my shopping needs and it was great. I am no longer a vegitarian but I still find myself shopping there. They have a wide selection of organic produce, exotic drinks, exotic dishes, refined sugar, salt, and peper substitutes. And much more. If you care about who you are and what you put in your body , you need to shop there.

Pros: Good groceries and excellent location

Cons: I can't figure out what the name means

Best Natural Foods Market in Atlanta

by tessaroni

I love shopping at Sevananda because I know that I am supporting a community owned business. They have the best selection of Organic and Locally Grown foods. The hot food bar is to die for!!! And I have never seen such a large selection of Bulk Goods before. I have attended the yoga class several times and really appreciate the enthusiasm of the instructor and the warm welcome I receive. Sevananda is a great resource for information regarding healthy living and I have become a total class junkie and many of the classes are taught for free! Last time I was in the store, I got a free bumper sticker that said "Shop Local, Own Local". You can't get better than that!

Pros: ample parking, great prices, huge selection, 20% discount for volunteering!
