Go if you have a gift certificate and go with little expectations. This is a trendy bar conveniantly located next to the Fox. The service is not the best and the menu is overpriced. Saying this- we enjoyed ourselves with some good appetizers and coctails while hanging out in the city. Also- you get free easy parking which is pretty cool!

I live in the Midtown and have been going to Bazzaar now for 5 years...it is one of the only few places left in town that hasn't sold out to mainstream music and the typical suburban cheese ball crowds. If you like to hang out in places that have soul and remind you of the way Atlanta was when it was cool than Bazzaar is your place...

I read the review of Bazaar on City Search and it sounded like the perfect trendy spot to take my teenage daughter before a Fox performance. When we walked in we were greeted immediately by someone who could not find our reservation. While he was trying to figure it out we were watched by a stocking capped squater who was eating a bag of carrots while propped up on the couch behind the hostess stand. I found our reservation in their scribbled in reservation book, pointed it out to the host and we were immediately seated. However, we were not taken upstairs to the "proper" dining tables. Instead we were walked to the back of the establishment and were seated at a table behind curtains at a dark, dingy little table.

Ok so this is embiance...I'm trying to appreciate the scene until I look at the menu. Tapas is what was advertised. A very limited selection of bar food is what was on the menu. Six items including Quesadillas and boneless buffalo wings (or something just as boring). The atmosphere stunk and the food selection was atrocious. Had City Search stated it was a trendy bar with appetizers at least I would have known what to have expected. A Tapas restaurant? Hardly.

I'm sure this is a great place to meet for drinks. A word to the newbie - make them seat you upstairs. I was not aware there was more to the place than the downstairs. I looked at the website after the fact and the "loft" area looks lovely unlike the Salvation Army reject look of the downstairs. I'm wondering if they offer real menu upstairs because the items described in City Search were not found on the menu I was given.

We left and went elsewhere for a nice dinner.

I don't know "the owner" but I still get treated like VIP whenever I come to Bazzaar. It is one of the only places in Atlanta that truly defines "city". The scene is always diverse, the music is cutting edge, cocktails are strong and the crowd is intelligent and beautiful. Kudos to the owners for not catering to the main stream and giving Atlanta something that CAN be compared to NYC, Miami, LA or any other major cosmopolitan destinations in the world.

Pros: Best late night lounge in Atlanta

Cons: You may not get in

.

It's not overly trendy, the music is always top notch and the staff is great. If you're nice to them, they'll be nice back. Since chef blais left -- the food is predictable, but you don't go there for the food. You go for the drinks and the fun.

Overall, it's a great place to go and we always have a great night out.

I have been out of the "scene" for awhile and went with several friends on a Thursday night. The food was horrible, the service was slow and when we nicely complained the several ROLLED his eyes at us and just walked off. The only people who seem to be treated nicely are the owner's friends (who were NOT the trendy and sophisticated crowd they thought they were). Our bill was over $500 and when my husband, again nicely, told the owner he was disappointed with the service the owner just suggested we not return. NICE ATTITUDE. We are both professional and entertain clients weekly in the city and believe me we are telling everyone we know to avoid this place.

I just paid a visit to Bazzaar after laying low from the scene for a few months and I must admit that even after disapearing for a while the scene there is still top notch. It was so nice to walk throuh the door and be greeted like I was an old friend. The staff is one of the sexiest yet friendliest bunch of trendy peeps you will find anywhere. It's nice to see a place like Bazzaar continue to set the standards for the Atlanta nightlife scene. Keep up the good work.

My partner and I went there last night before going to the Fox to see Tuesdays with Morie. From the minute we walked in the restaurant we felt warm and welcomed. It was a very relaxing atmosphere for the two of us to sit and catch up on the day over a bottle of wine. Autumn, our waitress was the bomb! She was very attentive as a waitress and just had a good karma about her. Her smile and attitude made the stop worthwhile as well. This is absolutely a place that we will return to as we make our way back to the Fox Theatre. The food, wine, service, and atmosphere were JUST what we were looking for before going to the show! I would recommend it without hesitation.

Wow! I have heard so much about Bazzaar over the past year and finally took some time out of my busy travelling schedule to see what all the buzz was about. I fell in love with this place right when I walked through the door. Beautiful, comfortable atmosphere, unbelievable music and a mix of people you won't find anywhere else in the city. Our waitress Autumn was so friendly and as hip as anything you would find in SoHo. Bazzaar ranks as one of the best places I have been during my travels to all the major cities in the states and I am so glad it is in my home town.

I went in with my wife and at first glance thought we were in a pretty cool bar that looked comfortable and inviting. After only a matter of minutes our perception changed. The wait staff were rude, slow and condescending to us in every way. We asked to speak to the manager or owner to express our disappointment and were told when the waitress came back ( fianlly ) that he could not be disturbed at that time. Our bill was outrageous, especially for such poor quality food and service. Will not be back.

Pros: Good parking

Cons: rude staff, price, food is par at best

there is nothing hip about this place. only rude service and abusive staff. richard blais is long gone and the menu is boring, though reasonably executed. the crowd is far less attractive than it thinks it is. skip it.

A few months ago a couple of friends and I were driving through midtown, looking for a new hip place to have a drink. We decided to try out the new place everyone was talkign about, Bazzaar. We walked in to the smooth sounds of a DJ, an array of gorgeous people, and an atmosphere that was totally chill. We were quickly served drinks at the bar and went upstairs to take a look at what was happening. We sat down on a couch-like table and were quickly greeted by one of the servers wearing an orange square. We decided to get some food, and I'm glad we did. The food was delicious. Even though the place was pretty crowded, our service was very promt and always showed up with a smile. Bazzaar has quickly become my favorite late-night hang out. Dress to impress... very good looking crowd!

Bazzaar is one of the most sexiest lounges in the city with the greatest mix of people. I have been going there since it opened and know that they do have a very strict dress code to keep out "undesirables". It is a small place and it is better that they keep out people that "simply don't know sophisticated nightlife" in order to keep it cool for people like us. That is why you probably weren't let in. If that is too Bizzar for you too understand than please stay away. Buckhead is just around the corner...it sounds like you should be hanging out there anyway.

My date and I went to this place to have and drinks. We were ignored from the beginning and treated very rudely. No waiter attended to us at all and when I asked the hostess if someone could take our drink orders, we were ignored for yet another 15 minutes. The only thing that I can see that was different from the other three tables that were sat after us and all served before us, was that all the other couples cam from the same ethnid background. My boyfriend and I are a mixed couple and we are use to bad treatment from places but this place was supposedly "uber cool" so we were thrown when it occured. Oh well rednecks live within the city limits as well.

Couldn't believe the horrible rudeness of the staff. It was a Saturday night, and our bill for four people was approximately $140. After we paid our bill, the host came over to our table and stated that since we were done, he wanted our table to seat another party and that we would have to leave our table. We had full intentions of staying and opening up a bar tab, I spoke to the manager, who said he would take care of it, but I saw him laughing with the host after my complaint. I spoke to the host, who then tossed out multiple insults to both myself, and our party. As a downtown resident, I will NEVER return to Bazzaar, it was just too bazzaar for me!!
