.

When my son-in-law was a teenager, he had a very bad form of cancer and went through many months of hospitalization and chemo. He says that Camp Twin Lakes (homebase for Camp Sunshine) was the one thing that helped him most to get through it. In the six years since then, the camp has evolved from one week to two weeks in the summer. It gives children with cancer a chance to play, to make friends with others who understand what they are going through, and to just be normal kids for a while. That is a priceless gift, and Camp Twin Lakes is a true place of blessing. Volunteer opportunities are available and various events take place during the year to raise funds.

PROS: real hope and a chance to have fun for children with cancer
CONS:
