paid almost $500 upfront for 1 yr service agreement on two hvac systems. Had AC serviced, turned it on 2 months later (first time since it was serviced) and did not work. Had to pay again for what should have been taken care of the first time. $162 dollars to fix a broken wire. Beware or you will be next.

Currently we have a 13 plus year old conventional AC unit that is broken. JR Bolton came to my business to provide a price to install a new Mitsubishi ductless system. I was very specific in telling the representative NOT to skimp on the equipment. The reason we chose to go with Mitsubishi is because that is the top of the line equipment and our situation required the special application of a ductless system. With all the windows and equipment inside our cafe, we truly need 5 to 6 tons.\n\nThe sales representative ignored my request NOT to provide a quote on the minimum equipment. I explained to her my landlord would likely try and minimize the equipment going into our cafe. \n\nThe quotation I got was for Opt. 1 - one 2 ton unit for $4,900, Opt. 2 - One three ton unit for $5,700 and Opt. 4 One 4 ton unit for $12,700. Of course my landlord is now stuck on spending $4,900.00. If the JR Bolton Sales Rep had listened to my needs in the first place; my landlord would have agreed to pay up to $8,000.00 for a new system as a new traditional system would cost us about the same but we will have to shut down for at least a day or more to have all the new ducts and all installed. The day the sales rep came to my cafe to provide the quote I expressed these concerns to her and repeated myself a number of times. 5 weeks later, once my landlord agreed to spend the minimum quoted price I contacted the JR Bolton sales rep and expressed my frustration that she ignored my request NOT to under-estimate our needs. \n\nI asked her to lower there price on the $5,700.00 unit to cover her mistake. She not only refused to take responsibility for her error, she replied to me and stated that because she apparently mis-understood me, and our cafe truly needed a much larger AC system; JR Bolton would NOT install the $4,900.00 system. I called to speak with the owner Mr. JR Bolton but he refused to return my call. Now I am stuck having to start the whole bidding process again. We are loosing business and our products are spoiling do to the incredible heat inside our cafe. It is clear to me that she lowballed us so she would get the business.\n\nNow I'm looking at LG's ductless systems. They are thousands less and about the same quality. \n\nWhat JR Bolton did was kin to offering me a deal on a size 6 shoe when I'm a size 13. Not a good fit at all. JR Bolton is extremely unprofessional. Be careful!!!

JR BOLTON located in Sugar Hill GA replaced my HVAC system and here is my review:\n\nWhen they came out to perform the consultation, they educated us about taking the whole house approach to fix the common problems found in homes and then which type of HVAC system would be best for us. Needless to say, we were a bit overwhelmed. We decided in order for us to properly decide what to do, we should have them perform the infiltration blower door and duct leakage test to make a informed decision. The next day the test was performed and we could clearly see a lot of problems areas which we wanted fixed.\n\nJR Bolton provided us three quotes varying in prices depending on the work and hardware being purchased. After some discussion we decided to go with the top end AC unit and a lower end HV system, have all the ducts sealed, apply a protective barrier to the knee walls to better insulate them, have an attic zipper seal installed, and insulation added in our attic to bump that up to an R49 value. This took place on a Saturday afternoon. The following Monday the team arrived to get started. \n\nWe were informed that this was a four-day job and we couldn?t figure out how it could really take four days. When they arrived that Monday morning it became clear these guys do things a little different than the other guys. They were more concerned about doing things correctly versus collecting the check and moving on to the next job. What a relief for us to see them take that approach. All the installers were polite, courteous and professional. Again, what a relief to see and experience. \n\nAfter the first day of them being onsite, we were feeling confident we chose the right company. After day three, I could really see the difference in the attic and how all the return air supply hoses were hanging and strapped into place versus just laying on top of the insulation as the original contractor had left them. This helps ensure airflow and can even help dampen the noise from the HVAC system. I was very surprised to learn that they had exceeded my expectations when they added another 7 ft of metal piping (Thank You Angel) to my air supply which cools my living room, kitchen and dining room with no added costs. If I hadn?t gone up there to look I?d doubt he would have pointed it out to me. How rare is that to experience, I ask you? Which leads me into the first surprise. On day one I was informed that they were adding a supply vent in one of the spare bedrooms to better help air circulation at no added costs. I truly can?t described how good it felt knowing they were doing all the right things to help us cool and heat our home and without trying to nickel and dime us. Remarkable!\n\nOn day four they finished up and another Air Flow measurement was performed to ensure work had been accomplished correctly. We went over the results by comparing the numbers before the work and after the work. My house was tighter than before, which the numbers clearly showed.\n\nI have to say the entire process was painless and stress free and I?m completely confident the work accomplished was impeccable . \n\nFor the folks who are in the process of deciding on replacing your old HVAC, please factor in the following;\nCheck the BBB and find out how many complaints are registered against the contractor.\nWhen they come out to perform the consultation, are they just looking at what you are currently using and providing a quote, or are they wanting to factor the whole house and verify the equipment can sufficiently handle it?\nDo you want this company coming out to your house for the next 10 years to service your HVAC?\n\nThere are other cheaper companies out there, but for me I?d rather pay extra and have a enjoyable and confident transaction then to go cheaper route and have all the stress and hassles that can follow.\n\nFIVE STARS\n
