If you have any color or cut issues, she is your woman! Being biracial (black and white), it is often hard to find a stylist and colorist. DJ was completely comfortable with my hair and tamed the beast easily (very impressive!) I went in with a color job that had gone wrong and mediocre hair cut. I walked out with the perfect color and cut without giving hardly any direction. She was friendly, fun, and knowledgeable giving me great hair advice and great restaurants to try. I plan on going back to see her next time she's in town!

Also, Grant Park is a great, cute, artsy area, and Lux the Salon at Grant Park exemplifies the neighborhood. Everyone was friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting. Despite being in the chair for hours, I was comfortable and content the whole time. They also sell great products from traditional lines like Sebastian and new organic lines such as Davine's. The stylists know exactly what products to use for desired results.

I have been to many salons before and this one is definitely down to earth and very cool! The boutique salon is tucked away in the quaint neighborhood of Grant Park which set the mood for a great experience and left me completely at ease. Everyone is genuinely nice and friendly. I received a terrific haircut from Tiffany and will definitely be back again.

I haven't had a regular stylist for years and my hair has suffered. Searching for a new salon and a new look I found LUX in Grant Park. I loved the salon and the atmosphere from the minute I walked through the doors. After much searching and many bad services, I finally found a salon and a stylist (Mimi) that give me a reason to return. Mimi gave me my new look and my hair has never looked or felt better.

I decided to visit The Lux salon due to citysearch reveiws several months ago, and I have not been disappointed yet!!! The service is wonderful, the staff are so so professional and my stylist Nia is the BOMB!!! She knows hair as well as color. Please visit this salon you will not be disappointed:)

I visited Lux for the first time a few weeks ago and after explaining my situtation I took the receptionist advice and schedule an appointment with Caprice. My hair color is unbelievable beautiful and my hair has never been so shiny. Caprice actually listened to me and explained what she was doing to my hair. I rarely post reviews, but weeks later people are still asking me about my hair - thank you Caprice.

I found Lux on Citysearch because they were close to my girlfriends job. I called them and spoke to "Billy" and I told him about my situation. I bought my girlfriend a gift certificate, she went over the weekend and loved it! NOt only was I impressed but she loved it. I guess im buying gift certificates for my sis and mom too.

After an awful cut and color at one of the noted Buckhead salons, I made my way to Grant Park to try a smaller, boutique salon and could not be more pleased. From the moment I walked through the doors of this quaint salon, I knew this would be the place for me and I was not disappointed. Mimi's cut was amazing and Caprice's color was as brilliant as I've seen. I don't normally make these types of statements, but it was the best cut and color in my 20+ years of having my hair done. I have found my salon and no longer need to bounce from salon to salon trying to find the ultimate in care.

I must say picking a hair salon is almost as difficult as picking a doctor and if you've moved as much as I have you would imagine that I have had my share of less than happy hair experiences. I was recommended to this place by a friend of mine and I love, love, love to change my hair up. I called up and spoke with a very friendly receptionist who referred me to Lauren for hair extensions. I have to say it was a roll of the dice, but after a consultation with Lauren I had a feeling that I was in good hands. I wish I could post a picture. That is how impressed I am. The receptionist, I think her name was Kristen, was delightful. It takes a long time to get extensions and she was so sweet, offering me something to drink and even offered to go next door to a restaurant to get some tea. I felt like I had been a client for years. I will be back.

I recently moved to Atlanta and have been searching for a hair salon since I arrived. I tried the Van Michael's, an independent woman and a hair salon outside the perimeter. None really satisfied what I was looking for. Needless to say, as soon as I walked through the doors I knew Lux was the place for me. I was looking for a hairstyle change, but wasn't sure if I had enough guts to do it. However, Billy was awesome and encouraged me to break loose and go for it. He even explained why the style would work on my head. No one has ever done that before.

I'm so glad he pushed me to do it - my haircut is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!! There isn't a day that goes by that someone doesn't comment on it. I highly recommend Lux - and plan to continue heading there as long as I live in Atlanta.

I left Van Michael and Key Lime Pie and have been going to LUX The Salon in Grant Park for almost a year. I can't say enough good things about the salon, the staff and the surrounding Grant Park neighborhood. The relaxed atmosphere of the boutique salon creates a welcoming environment that you don't get with the larger, fast-paced salons in Buckhead. The owner is wonderful with the customers and the entire team of stylists are exceptional. I would make a stylist recommendation but I have sat in every stylist?s chair and have been pleased with the work of each stylist?you really can?t go wrong. So if you?re looking for a relaxed, boutique salon with amazingly talented stylists that work with all hair types LUX is the place for you.

Lauren has done my hair two times now and both times she has exceeded, by far, my expectations. She is patient, gentle and an excellent listener. She's interested in making me happy as opposed to 'convincing' me that she knows best, an experience I know we've all had, much to our chagrin.

When you walk in, you are sincerely greeted by the receptionist, offered refreshment, and immediately put at ease. One thing I must note: I am a 'plus size', and the first time I went, I found it hard to fit into the black smock. The second time, a couple of more generously sized smocks were there waiting for me. It's the kind of touch that makes you feel like a person, not just another client. They play really good music and the decor and lighting contribute to the atmosphere.

Lauren remembered the precise formula for my hair color and it came out as lovely as it did the first time. She picked up right where we left off from my last appointment, and actually remembered what we talked about the first time. I felt more like I was visiting a really cool friend than I was a customer at a salon. That's never happened to me. Lauren is also unique in that she has a calm, confident vibe: I've been to a few stylists who are so over-amped and 'high energy', it's actually tiring. Not so with Lauren.

The first time I came in, I was (and am still) growing out a very unfortunate hair cut. She has managed both times to create a hair style that is charming and of which I am proud, even though I have not yet grown out all the elements of the bad cut. In other words, we're on a journey, and even though my hair is not long enough yet, she still has made me feel so much better about myself.

I rarely go to a stylist more than a couple of times. I've booked my third appointment with Lauren, so in over 30 years of getting my hair done in Atlanta, she's a keeper! Do give her a try-you will be well pleased!

I have patronized salons in Atlanta for over 10 years. As a result, I have gone to a lot of big name salons and oftentimes, had my hair cut and colored by the owners of these establishments. Tired of going to the run of the mill places that boost nothing but their name, a friend of mine recommended that I go to Lux in Grant Part. At my wits? end, I decided to follow my friend?s advice. I was booked with Jackie. My experience at Lux in Grant Park (Cherokee Avenue) was like no other. I was told that Jackie was new to the salon. However, I could not tell. I do not know how the owners of Lux were savvy enough to bring this type of talent to their salon, but Jackie is definitely a keeper. From the time I walked into Lux to exiting, Jackie was friendly and professional. I never felt the awkwardness one feels when visiting a stylist for the first time. Jackie knew what hair color and cut best fit my features and performed to her upmost abilities in making sure I was satisfied. I walked out feeling and looking like a queen. The atmosphere of Lux also aided in my world class experience. The owner recognized I was new and made sure everything was to my liking. As a part of the royal treatment, I sipped wine, ate snacks, and listened to relaxing music. Like it?s name, the experience- Lux!

I was SO tired of the wind & grind of overbooked, overpriced salons - I found the solution:

No traffic & easy parking. Lux is a beautiful salon tucked away in Grant Park. It has such a modish feel to it - exposed brick & a salon chair in a loft! The service I receive there is stellar - I get my cuts with Billy. No pictures necessary - he always exceeds my expectations.

They also offer color, waxing & have a great selection of products too (for product junkies like me!)

Appointments are recommended
